View Full Version : Did anyone pause and read the newspaper?

Pause and read the first newspaper closeup, under the caption "Urban Development Plan hits the Skids". It starts off discussing low income housing and then breaks away and states that Jason Teague and his mother's bodies have been found and presumably died from the second meteorite shower. It is difficult to read as there are only a few frames that are clear enough.
Didn't Lana's former boyfriend Jason Teague fall off a cliff after Lana stabbed his mother in the heart?
Lex was involved with protecting Lana and must have had Genevieve's corpse chucked over the cliff as well.

Jason didn't die when Lionel shot him and he fell off the cliff. He came back and was holding the Kents hostage when the second meteor shower hit, and he got creamed by the rock that blasted through their house and pummeled him into the ground.
So technically, he was buried someplace beneath the Kent's house. Maybe they recovered him during renovation.

That makes it even worse! Now the Kent's, Lex, Lana and Clark are involved in hiding dead bodies and creating a cover up in case they were found.
You would think someone would have said to Lana, "Umm...yeah... the guy you feel in love with and lived with... Jason... Remember him? His rotting corpse has been found beneath the Kent's house along with his murdered mother. Don't worry though it looks like a meteor accident. Care for a coffee at the Talon?".
I'm only kidding of course, they obviously put that hidden Easter Egg there for the few that would find it.

I don't remember how Jason ACTUALLY died.. but I do know that Lex set it up to make it look like him and his mom died in the 2nd meteor shower.
So Lex probably had to put their bodies together somewhere to make it seem real.

I just noticed while looking at the screen shot that they incorrectly spelled "development". There isn't a dictionary on the planet that spells it "developement"(with the E after the P). I guess they were really trying to get someone to notice.

Nice catch. I like pausing the DVDs and reading the newspaper articles myself. They have some interesting stuff in them. I always wondered if shirkie would consider having a newspaper clipping section like she does with the Kryptonian symbols.
As for Jason Teague, I'm sure Lex had scoped out the house before Clark got there in Arrival and had the body taken away. He probably noticed the same car that Jason drove from Forever parked outside the farm and knew he was inside. What is very unbelievable to me though is that Jason would get killed by a meteor but not the Kents who stood so close to him.

Lois must have written that article, then.

Oh yeah! I was wondering what Lex was doing at the Kent Barn in Arrival. I didn't realize he was there to remove Jason Teague's corpse.

You have to remember that Jason was inflicted with more damage than the Kents. Not only was he shot and fell down a cliff, he was bleeding from wounds.
Usually, a meteor isn't prone to giving glancing blows, but let's not squabble over details.

actually, Jason Teagues unmentioned and unfound remains are scattered about the kent farm, and maybe even under the new foundation of the kent home.
it's true.

Then he fails off a cliff
Then a house falls on him!

I'd ever go as far as saying that it's not the Kent farmhouse that really killed Jason, but the meteor rocks that slammed right into him.
Great catch about the newspaper btw.

In the story on the far right, "...Investigators scour the mountainous district outside of Smallville...".
