Were you surprised that Lana questioned Chloe about Clark?

yes. she NEVER questions anything amazing she sees Clark do or anything she hears about. Why would she not just ignore it like always.

Lana must learn the truth later in the season or why would they make her "suddenly" question all the stuff she has always ignored. ;)

Lana's baby must be activating some of her dormant brain cells wich just proves her baby is a second generation fotw with healling ability aka spawn of lex luthor.

No. That's all she cares about is uncovering the SECRETS AND LIES!!!!. If only she was smart enough to uncover Lex's I wouldnt have a problem with her.

either my sarcasm meter is borked or i don't understand. after all the clark-lana stuff going on recently and in this episode, why would she NOT ask after hearing a reporter who, though of questionable ethics, has unquestionable instincts for the size of a story say chloe was sitting on farmboy's secret of world changing proportions?

and i have no doubt lana is selfish and self-centered enough to want what she wants at all costs.

i can't believe how far and how fast her character quality has fallen...:(

She would have to be braindead not to know that Chloe was hiding the "Farmboy's" secret by smashing up a computer before Linda Lake said anything or clicked on the send button.

Agree 100%.

And I didn't surprised.
Boo Lana :p

The only logical conclusion she should have been able to reach is that Clark is a meteor freak, and that Chloe knows his "power". What else could it be really with the peices Lana has?

Unless Clark is gay. Then it would all make sense, and everyone can move on

Hahahahaha!!

Clark: OK, I'll admit it...I'm gay.

Lana: But you had sex with me.

Clark: Uhhhh....well......you made me gay....that's it.

Lana: I'm sorry. I have to convert you back.

Clark: No Lana, the only thing you can do is have Lex buy me a Green Arrow costume.

Lana: But how will that convert you?

<Clark smiles and doesn't say anything>

Well, hearing that she should be able to piece it together....I mean, c'mon....

Chloe sitting on farmboy's secret of world changing proportions

I know Lana will only remember whatever the writers want her to remember at any given time, but give her some resemblance of a brain.

She knew the stones were "somehow meant for Clark". She knows now they they were actually alien and that the alien race from Krypton has been to Earth. She has seen them use powers with her own eyes.

I would be fully satisfied if she confronted Clark and said "Clark I know you have remarkable abilities, I have seen you come through in situations where no average man could save the day." I know you are a Kryptonian and lists all the proof she has gathered through the years. The last thing she says is "I have known even before we dated and just wanted to know you were the one for me by trusting me with your secret. Things didn't work out that way, but I will keep your secret forever"

It's not the fact that Chloe didn't tell her, its the fact that she was ASKING Chloe. First off, its not Chloe's secret to tell. Lana did this, knowingly. If she knew it was about Clark, then she should only confront him.

Of course Lana asked. Lana did not care if she hurt Chloe's feelings. She did not care about the secrets that Chloe was keeping about her. She did not care if she was putting Chloe in a bad position.
She went into, "How dare you keep Clark's secret. Do you not know I am the most important person in the world? Lex Luthor is crawling on his belly for me, and has lost his balls and backbone. Now as the Queen of the known Universe, where everyone wants to me my friend, and everyone and everything revolves around me, you Chloe will bow to me and answer my every question, or I will ban you from the Smallville miniverse forever, because the writers worship the ground I walk on."

Lana's baby must be activating some of her dormant brain cells. That must be the first time she understood something after she heard something else. And it was stupid to try and get Clark's secret from Chloe. Who does she think she is?

I'm glad to see this angle hasn't been dropped. It seemed they were building it up in season 5 and then it went nowhere. I'm not surprised Lana questioned Chloe, I always felt it was a matter of when.

She already went all tender on Clark to get it out of him. Her next step is to get Clark to admit to it by playing with his heartstrings. And she'll probably start using Chloe's own secrets against her.

^ If she did that I would lose the little respect I have for Lana. But it would be some great drama

Lets face it, Lana has always known something is up with Clark.

Just until now the writer's figured to give her another brain cell to help her thinking as in the baby.

It's a shame though. In season 5, they had the most interesting way of having her find out. They had that great line from her about a spaceship landing during the 1st meteor shower in Fanatic and did nothing with it. I expected them to reveal Milton Fine as her astronomy professor and the one who gave her those photos and put that theory in her mind and to reveal Clark's secret to her when Clark would show up to her astronomy class in Reckoning as a distraction so he can continue his plans to bring Zod back. I still think that would have been the best way to have her learn the secret and make things interesting. It would have also made Lexana a whole lot more believable with her negative reaction to Clark & Lex building her trust in him.

I think the baby's doing the thinking for them. Haha, Lana is like Venom of Spider-Man comics, a symbiosis of 2 beings. The baby lives off of Lana's craze for secrets & lies while Lana benefits from finally having a brain.

i wasnt suprised . all the clues where theire right in front of her. its not chloe's fault shes too stupid to see them

I was a little surprised, however, I wish it would have caused a larger rift. We haven't had a Chlana fight in a while.

I felt bad for Chloe...Lana can be so stupid sometimes...Like someone else said...it's not Chloe's fault Lana can't figure it out. I guess I wouldn't mind Lana's quest for the truth if she didn't just turn it on Chloe and Clark. I mean, the guy she is engaged to has more secrets then all of the characters combined.

Was I surprised by Lana's actions, not at all. She has the same obsession about Clark's secret that Lex does. In fact she has essentially become a male version of Lex...

...oops did I make a typo in there? ... nope, said it exactly like I wanted to.

Am I suprised she asked? Absolutely not. Lana will never be able to give up on her I can't trust Clark because he is keeping something from me rant.

Knowing that Chloe knows must boil her insides. She is feeling the same out of control pain Lex felt in Reckoning when he knew that Lana held Clark's secret.

BWAAAHHH! I'm so glad I wasn't drinking something!!

Was I surprised? No, because I think Lana does think it's all about her. Now that she knows that Chloe knows (follow that?) she'll walk away from Chloe and the friendship in a huff. Someone made a point, it's not Chloe's secret to tell, but I guess Lana doesn't get that. Even though Chloe didn't tell Clark Lana's "secret" for the same reason.

I can't believe she never questioned the fact that Chloe knows Clark better then her BEFORE. I'll have to go with the baby helping activate the brain cells. Lana should at least suspect that Chloe understands Clark seeing how close Clark and Chloe are and how Clark always confides in her. I think I would have asked my bestfriend if she was in the know.

She has never stopped obsessing about Clark - involving herself with Lex was simply so easy and rewarding - given the excuse she is immediately on point and trying to figure out what went wrong with Clark - hence the visit to the barn...

Mostly it was no supprise but it really ticked me off. It had me screaming the same thing i use to say about Chloe "It's none of your GD buisness." What really irked me was that she got upset with her friend for keeping another friends secret. (same as Clark earlier in the eppy) Instead of (again) going to him herself and telling him that she loves him and that it would clear up things between them. She attacks the middle man or woman in this case. Not "Im glad you're ok" or "How messed up was that Lake chick" but 'How dare you not tell me the secret that is not yours'.
But honestly - she hooked up with his worst betrayer and wants him to share a secret he thought was so detrimental to himself that he has not shared it with her from the moment she started asking him about it.
Sorry about the rant. Just rewatched that eppy and it bothered me
