So is Linda Lake really dead?

I assumed that the shot of the water running off Lana's truck means that we haven't seen the last of Linda Lake. She still knows Clark's secret, and she still has ths story written up. What do you all think will happen with that?

I'm a little confused about whether Linda Lake actually "died" when she got hit by Lana's SUV. We saw water dribble down the hood of the car and sinister music played... Was that "Whoa, she's dead" music or "She lives! MWAH HA HA!" music?

I agree. I was really looking forward to her death - but it's clear that she drained down the ditch and will be back to cause more trouble later on.

The dribble of water seems to be; still living. Aquaman vs Lake would suck in my opinion, since a mere car can beat Lake, and plus, in the water, I think Clark would win as if when Clark vs. AC, AC owned him. AC is the prince of Atlantis afterall.

LOL - I guess that is true - there would be no fight since a truck can take out Lake. oh well - decent power, she could have used it better.

Well, when she does resurface, I hope that'll be the end of her......

i thought so too, but then once it dripped off of the car it appeared to be clear so maybe it was just the red car giving that appearance.

Definitely not dead, but I'm not sure how her character will play into the rest of the season. Tori claimed that she's not currently tapped to reappear in Smallville. However, there are a few possibilities for why she didn't clearly die:

a) Tori had them write it into her contract that her character wouldn't be killed off completely in case she ever wanted to return

b) TPTB have something in store for her character that won't require Tori's presence again

c) TPTB have something in store for her character but haven't told Tori about it yet
