The way the interacted in this episode was awesome!!
1. The interaction between Chloe and Clark when she lashed out at him was great.
2. When Lex brought Lana the paper on the breakfast tray was a good scene.
3. When Lex confronted Clark at the mansion that was great.
4. The scene where Chloe smashed the laptop with the hammer was great.
5. The scene where Lana confronted Chloe about Clark's secret was great. When she said,"Lana, I will never hurt you." Lana said that's the same thing Clark says. That was awesome!!! The chemistry btween Allison and Kristen was jumping off the screen tonight. Every scene with them was good.
6. When Lana confronted Clark at the end and he told her she knew that she was pregnant, was really good.
Some great acting tonight by the Fab 4!!
Hey, Smallville!

Well, I think Lois should be added to that list as well... but not my thread.

Yah. I was going to say the same. Really, in my opinion, a stand-out episode for Erica Durance. We got so much from Lois tonight.

Lois was pretty much the same, she was good comic relief but so was Jimmy. The fab 4 had to do some serious acting. Everything about Lois is so lighthearted and playful no matter what the issue. There's no range to the character yet. Maybe it will come as she falls for Clark, I hope so.

Tom Welling's acting was a bit off. I'd say this wasn't his best but it wasn't good either. He was director as well so I can't say much.

I agree with the thread creator.
Allison was fantastic as usual. But that's nothing new.
MR wasn't phoning it in like he has been as of late.
TW was really great playing up some ambiguity in certain scenes as well as the tension (Clana loft) and the uncomfortableness in the scene with Chloe and "Lois".
Kristin was actually pretty good tonight too.
"Fab 4" is okay... but some prefer "Core 4" :p

I agree with the OP. The core/fab 4 did a great job, i hope it continues for future episodes.

TW, AM and Lex. No one else. They keep those scenes going, IMO.

I agree. Even Kristen Kreuk had the right balance of Lana's emotions tonight, and you know why, I think, everyone was so on the ball? Because of Welling's fabulous directing skills. I'm an independent film director, and so I know that you need a strong cast, but you also need a strong director to help the actors shift through their emotions and find their characters. Lately, Lexana has been such a drag and it's felt just kinda lame, but in tonight's episode, for maybe the first time since the episode "Fade", I actually felt some connection and emotion between Lex and Lana. Although Lex is basically the villain now, I still felt some sympathy for him in that scene at the end when he was actually crying a little bit as he said, "The life I've lead...all I want is to be vengeful and lash out at the world...and then I meet someone who accepts me...makes me a better man..." or something like that. At first I thought, "BS", because obviously Lex isn't TRULY trying to be a better man (after what we saw with 33.1 in the last episode), but it DID seem like Lex believed his own words, and in some twisted part of his head, he really does love Lana. Kreuk, too, showed real emotion for Lex and it made me very sad for her when she accepted Lex's proposal. She was also great in her scene with Welling and actually pretty casual for some of her gal-pal scenes with Chloe.
Welling's directing seemed to make everyone more natural than usual. This episode had a really realistic feel to it. Durance showed real depth with Lois's dilemma, and all the other actors, including Ms. Tori Spelling, were right-on.
Only thing missing was a Lionel appearance. :)

Ironically enough at the same time they were giving Smallville the were giving Sorority Boys, and i was watching in between and.
1. It was shocking to see him with hair.
2. I was amazed at his acting skills.
3. Made it harder for me to take Lex serious cause i kept seeing him in a dress. Complaining about his fat ass.

And I also would've liked to have seen some follow-up scene on Lex's 33.1, but I guess we'll see all that in the next episode. "JUSTICE"! YAY! :)

I agree; Welling definately took a lot of time with his long term castmates this episode. I've timed some of the other scenes which are really rushed and done as fast as possible, but with AM, KK, and MR he took his time - and it showed. Their performances were better and made the emotional core of the show work when at other times it's failed miserably.

I thought Jimmy and Lois were great too. But, Aaron Aashmore is always fabulous.
Lois played her part very well, she really made it look like Lois had fallen in love. :)

I thought KK, AM and MR were really good tonight. TW had his moments, but I thought the other three had more memorable facial expressions and moments.

I think EVERYONE did a great job in this episode. The primary story was Clark, Lex, Lana and Chloe and Tori Spelling of course and it was wonderful. I really felt that Allison really did a great job this episode. She's always great but, Chloe was back in top form in "Hydro." In other episodes I just feel that she's expositional or... something. So it was nice to see her facing off with the FOTW and not needing Clark to save her! Forming a plan with Lana to save the day of all things! delightful.
Kristen Kruek also did a wonderful job! She was so emotionally exposed the whole episode. The breakfast scene with Lex and the Clana loft scene were particularly touching. The way her lip was trembling. Oh! *sniff* She really seemed tired and emotional and pregnant.
Lex's cheeks are distracting but I really don't think he's getting fatter. He still wears his suits well... He's probably just getting softer. His scenes with Lana were really good. The FOTW scenes and Clark scenes were been there done that with Lex. IMHO.
Clark. There wasn't a lot of... challenge for Tom Welling acting wise in this episode. Considering the fact that he's directing... he did a fantastic job. But I don't really feel that he was stretched at all in this episode acting wise. He had a reall nice moment in the Talon, reacting to the Clexana headline. And his loft scene with Lana was very...emotionally true. :)
As far as Clark's character goes, it was fun to see him jumping right in with the secondary story and forming a plan. That's what I loved about this episode. How much of an ensemble episode it was. The fact that it was a Chloe/Lana story for the main story with Clark and Lex supporting... didn't make the secondary story feel cheated.
For example, Static completely sacrificed the secondary story (which should have been the primary story) of Clark and the Zoner for the Chimmy/Lexana/FOTW plot.
I also loved that Clark never faced the FOTW. Chloe, with Lana playing sidekick, did. That was so much fun and so different.
The secondary story was given just enough screentime and was fun and funny to counterbalance the angst of the main story. AND the secondary story fueled elements in the main story and beyond. Lois Lane/Erica Durance was a wonderful ball of anxious energy! The little that Oliver Queen/Justin Hartley had to do was fun and interesting. It was a lot of fun to see Lois and Jimmy meet and start to work together. They just had a natural chemistry. It was also fun to see how much better friends Lois and Clark are. How at ease they are with each other now.
Clark as the GA was hilarious! The kiss was delightful. All of the secondary plot was wonderfully acted by Erica, Aaron, Justin and Tom Welling... They kept the energy and excitement high, hitting all their comic beats and keeping the edge to thier performances to tell us how serious the characters are about thier various plots working.
Secondary Plot connections to Main Plot... Jimmy gives Chloe the lead on the baseball guy's murder. The whole fallout of the scheme within a scheme (Oliver, Clark, Lois, and Jimmy) helps Chloe figure out who the GA is.
And spins us perfectly into Justice next week! I loved this episode. No Martha or Lionel but everyone who was there had a chance to shine. :)

I agree.
Gah, I wish they had more scenes with Kristin and Allison, their chemistry is fantastic, you just know they're friends outside the set when you see them together.
And the Clana scene? What can I say. Kristin's a wonderful actress.

Welling's no dummy.
He realizes where the core of the story is and it's with Clark, Lex, Lana, and Chloe.
All of those relationships between the four of them are so intermingled that it would be silly to just brush them off.
I was glad to see the parallels of Clark and Lex's broken friendship to the fragile one between Chloe and Lana, both hurting because of secrets.
THAT'S where your story is Smallville.
When you bring that out, it's such a richer story.
