View Full Version : Should Lana get a DNA test? Seriously

When exactly did Lana get pregant? Was she when she was with Zod, or when Luthor was himself again? Now on one hand, it does seem to indicate based on what I observe on Lana that she MIGHT have gotten pregnant around October, so therefore, Lana was with Luthor. But then again, Zod had to have been affectionate with Lana during the 'off season now.':rotfl: I mean, it's hard for me to fathom that 16 weeks later= a few minutes later with Clark in the Phantom Zone and all that. My take is the world went to heck for 16 weeks until order was then restored.

Either way, the DNA should be the same, of course...

Nah, she never slept with Zod. And the world only went into chaos for about a day while Clark was in the PZ...hence the references to Dark Thursday.
We didn't get the usual "3 months later" this time. Zod started the moment Vessel ended...and they didn't make it clear when time jumped forward to catch us up with the current time of year (e.g. Thanksgiving in Rage).

Lana needs to take a pregnancy test. 10 of them. Alone. In a place where she can see the results for herself and not have anyone tell her because I don't think she's pregnant at all.
She's being tricked into thinking she is.

Yeah, but seriously. She should know by now.
She can't possibly be THAT stupid...

I think she should secretly go to a doctor that has no affiliation with Luthorcorp for a pregancy test. I think she'd be surprised with the results.
I'm sorry, I know it's soap opera but so is everything else about Clexana. The way Lex gloated about Lana being pregnant... I dunno.

OK, I am confused now.
Which week/trimester do we think she is in...?
She should be able to tell by now, no? I mean there are...signs, no?

Well there was an episode where she was dizzy and passed out. It's what caused her to go to the doctors in the first place and that's when she found out.

Should Lana get a DNA test? Absolutely. It's impossible that Lana is a normal human being. :D

I find it amazing that they had (the writers) these severe symptoms of pregnancy (total passing out without warning) for 1 episode, where she did it 2 or 3 times, and since then, no symptoms or anything visual about Lana being pregnant, no mention of her going to a Dr. Where is Lex flying in the best Dr. in the state to give her individual care? I would think he would not want her doing anything to risk her health or that of the child (she has had how many concussions? I thought she had one of those frequent saver cards they give you to stores for smallvile medical center). I don't know how much time has passed on the show, maybe that is the problem, for us, its a few months and she should be showing a little at least. a little morning sickness, tired, (wait, I forgot she doesn't work), something.

I have to believe Lex is the type of billionaire that anytime someone he is dating he get a super secret DNA asap.
I know an amnio needle is long and hard to sneak, but I am certain, some guy while lana is sleeping puts some extra pass out gas in her room and boom , super secret dna amnio needle goes in to confirm the baby is lex's.
Or it would be cool for lex to find out its Zod's or Clark's.

They've both been aliens from the start!!!
Now that would be a plot twist no one saw coming...
Well done.

She should be able to tell by now, no? I mean there are...signs, no? By Crimson, I think she'd be about 16 weeks. If she's not showing now, she'd have to be showing very soon or it's just ridiculous. But then, Martha was pregnant from like ep 8 all the way until the finale of S2 and never showed.
If Lana really isn't pregnant, then that's just ridiculous. A woman knows, usually right away. Even a daft girl who isn't in touch with her body should know by 7 weeks or so. I find it hard to believe that Lana hasn't been to the baby doctor yet, probably even with Lex.
I actually thought that Lana did go to a doctor that Lex didn't know about, otherwise, how come Lex didn't know about the pregnancy until she told him?

I am no expert, but I kinda assumed something like that...
And you're right it's hard to imagine that Lex manipulated her or a doctor he most likely didn't even know...

There have been stories where a woman will go her entire pregnancy not knowing she is pregnant. No morning sickness, little weight gain, etc. Lana is so tiny I doubt she would fit into this category. Besides, it just wouldn't be dramatic enough for her to have a normal pregnancy now, would it?

Well there is at least one more sign of pregnancy which she should be pretty obvious to her. Unless a woman is very 'irregular' by nature, it should be pretty obvious, IMO... I think for most women it's a (sometimes very understandable) psychological problem when they simply don't want to accept the fact that they're pregnant and therefore disregard the fact their period has stopped. But I'm no expert on this, of course...

Well, I wrote up the Zod episode in a 14 part story where Zod was ruling the Earth for 16 weeks, Clark was in the Phantom Zone with the Sailor Senshi. What happened was they fall through a black hole, and come out to the PHantom Zone prison world 16 weeks later. By the time Clark gets back to the Earth with the Senshi, Zod had some other associates cleansing the Earth in Galaxia of a second Earth and Nerenia his lady desire. I was going to slyly suggest that Lana and Zod were affectionate for 16 weeks ala V the movie, remember that girl getting pregnant by the alien? I was teasingly suggesting that maybe Lana and Zod were a little cozy. The timelines of Smallville are strange to have the closure to May, but then swing about 4 months later by episode 2 or 3 without even telling about it. They should stick with 3 months later, makes it easier.
I've written several crossover stories with Smallville mingling with the Sailor Senshi without having to fly anybody to Japan.

I made various posts about this:
http://www.kryptonsite.com/forums/showthread.php?postid=2717004#post2717004
This first one refers to another post that has all the facts/evidence I pointed out.
http://www.kryptonsite.com/forums/showthread.php?postid=2721513#post2721513
This 2nd post is a backup to that 1st one.
I think it's impossible that Lana is pregnant and still not showing about 6 months after.

Not if she's not pregnant and this whole pregnancy thing is a ploy to fool Lana long enough to marry him. Think about it. He could have slipped some drugs in her coffee or food to make her have headaches and pass out as she did in Rage and paid the doctor off to give her bogus info. I'm not sure if there are drugs that would prevent her from having her monthly cycle, but if there are, then it would be entirely possible. That would be the MB thing for him to do. Fool her into thinking she is pregnant, then propose as a test of loyalty. If she accepts the proposal (passes the test of loyalty) then he could either actually knock her up or just not do it, where it would be too late for her since she's already married. Plus, I'm sure he could have her drugged and made to believe that she lost the baby just to cover his tracks so she never finds out that she was never pregnant.

How many fraking threads do we need on the possibility of the baby being someone other then lex's?? besides I tought we were only supposed to have one thread on each topic.

If your gonna go there why not say lex paid the doctor to artaficially inseminate her( I'm sure I just spelled that wrong also sure you will understand what I mean)

The baby is either Brainiac or the baby is dead. If anyone watches Nip/Tuck there was an episode last year with this older couple that never could have kids. They played Mr. and Mrs. Clause every year and felt that putting on so much weight was a bad example to set for kids so they went to get lipo done(still not a great example) anyway, when they were cutting through the wife's stomach the Doctor found a fetus that had been within her for twenty years. What if the fetus died in Static, that moment when she held her stomach in pain, was when it died, and she just doesn't know it yet. Maybe that's the real reason she's not showing. Maybe grasping at straws but that would be very unexpected.

Because that wouldn't prove anything. Lex paying off the doctor and testing Lana's loyalty like that (he had his doubts since he didn't let Clark see her all those times) is something the Lex Luthor we all know from the comics would do. Artificially inseminating her would not solve anything (unless he used some other donor as the father to disconnect Lana from his fortune).
My main point is, how the hell could she actually be pregnant if she has been so since around July (6 months) and not be showing any signs? She had the cravings in Fallout which was 6 weeks after Vessel/Zod (May). This is a huge plothole and makes no sense unless she is the one who's faking it. They never showed us what the doctor told her. It could be an act on her part to find the answers about Lex & Clark that Chloe, Clark, and Lex haven't told her. I can't explain it otherwise.

Good point. This is the only other thing I could think of. I actually did wonder as I watched Static if phasing in & out of frequencies hurt or killed the baby. You may be right that it did. And if they choose to go this route, then you can blame Lex, since it was his actions with 33.1 that led Bronson to do all those things.
