View Full Version : Odd theory about Sylar and Peter

I've wondered why Peter and his brother don't have the same powers. The closest person that Peter has somewhat similar powers with is Sylar. Are Sylar and Peter perhaps the real brothers of the show? Perhaps Sylar steals powers permanently because he kills the person he steals from.

My curiousity is if Peter is the cause of the explosion that destroys New York, perhaps it's because he kills Sylar just before hand, steals his powers and creates a form of genetic power feedback and **KABOOM**.

Whatchyall think?

Different heroes have said through the show that they are all connected. The question would be how! Maybe genectly, maybe all scientifically. But you also need to notice that most people with powers are in family groups. Nathan and Peter; DL, Nicki and Micha; Claire and the unknown ability of her mother. Makes you wonder as we meet other family members of heroes if they will have abilities.

Nathan P. has a couple kids doesn't he? It would be cool to see them flying through the background of a scene.. if they learn karate they could even be more powerful than dad.

I doubt his kids would have the same power if they get powers.

Look at Micah. His mom is super strong. His dad can phase through things.

He, on the other hand, controls technology.

they could very well be step brothers.

Perhaps cousins?

I was thinking that the Peter we see before the explosion isn't Peter but really Sylar... And that Sylar shape-shifted into Peter... Everyone is running away from him other than Nathan...

I think Peter can use other peoples powers when he is with them, but he also retains those powers, but does not know how to tap into them to use them again. He is the opposite of Sylar who has to kill you to obtain the power, while all Peter has to do is come into contact with you. The Invisible Man is going to show Peter how to control and use the powers he gets. Thus, in his dream, the power to harness all that radiation is to uncontrollable for Peter harness, so he explodes.

Sylar is Peter's negative, his opposite. Sylar is a serial killer who kills heroes with powers to obtain them. Peter gains friends who are Heroes and takes their powers in while gaining allies around him. Kinda like Neo and Agent Smith in the Matrix.

We still don't know much about Peter and Nathan's dad who is supposedly dead. Could Sylar be a half brother from an affair there father had. In the episode I think was called "Six Months Ago" didn't Mohinder's dad say Sylar's real name? Does any one remember what it is? Anyway, Sylar does have the same generic physical attributes as the Petrelli's. Dark hair, similar build and height.

woah just thought of somethin.... asuming niki-superstrength/jessica-jump into bodies.... if sylar were to steal that power and jump into peter he wouldnt know how to controll peters powers like peter is learning.. hence peter body kaboom.. or even jessica jumping in there if niki kicks her out

Well, it's an interesting theory - and people do seem to be popping up as related on Heroes now. So you never know.
