After watching Hydro, post about whether you think the Lana that speaks about Clark is really her, or is Tori Spelling's character (if she can shapeshift to look like others) or if it's really the Martian Manhunter playing games with Lex.

Yeesh, why try to make excuses for Lana? Why can't she be responsible for her own actions? That's her.

It was Lana, it just totaly screwed up the lana/clark story line, (at least the way i know it)

The only reason it's screwed up is b/c the writing is horrible and inconsistent. Let's remember that Clark is one who lied to Lana the whole time they were together and, as Lex stated, he did crush her. She caught him with another woman while under a spell and then he told her that he does not love her anymore while normal. So I can see why Clark would still be in love but at this point Lana really is the one who should move on.

Well I guess Linda can't shapeshift.
But as to jmf1977's post above, I was really hoping that Clark would have thrown it in Lex's face when they spoke that Lex was the one who set Simone up to do that. I find it hard to believe that Clark & Chloe are able to put togther so many other complicated things (like Mikail's weakness in Jinx) but did not realize that the reason Simone was in the Luthor mansion and wanted to kill Lex is because she was being blackmailed by him. I wanted Clark to throw it in Lex's face, but at the same time not bring it up to Lana, since the way he dealt with her was right and very Superman-like. She is pregnant with Lex's baby and to Clark it is only right for her to stay with Lex since he is the father, and putting doubts in her mind by telling her that Simone was Lex's setup would be bad for the baby. The main thing that bothered me is that Clark doesn't seem to know that Lex caused it. At least I wasn't able to make that out based on his counterpoints when talking to Lex.
