So far it's GREAT.
Very suspenseful with all of these secrets!
Tom is doing a great job as a director.
Intense drama, great comedy, and Clark as a 'super hero' (costume and all, although not the Supes costume- yet)
If it keeps up 9.5
all things aside....i was kinda hoping in order to kill tori spelling, clark would use his super breath, freeze her and smash her into pieces. oh well, still a good epi.

First of all just let me say, GO CHLOE!!! It's about time she vented at Clark and Lana and verbally slapped them into perspective. She looks so different on here too. I clapped my hands at the scene where she calls Clark an alien from another planet. YES!!! Plus, she got into a cat fight with supersnob Tori Spelling. Who has not been wanting someone to slap that face? This episode was all Chloe.
Okay. Gushing over. Even though Clark was not fighting, it was cool to see him protecting a fellow future leaguer and dealing with the Lana/Lex situation. I got mad at him though for not telling Lana. He had her right at the door. I don't like where Lana has been going but for a few minutes there was a hopeful glimmer of the old Lana resurfacing in the barn loft.
The Lois/Clark/"Green Arrow" kiss was hilarious. Did Clark have a smirk on his face after the kiss liked he enjoyed it? I think so. The "Secret Adventures of Jimmy of Lois" line from Chloe was funny as well and it was cool to see some first reporter interactions between the two.
All in all, this episode brought some lightness back and great character development. I almost thought Lex was going to strike Lana there in the end until she said "yes". I cannot wait for next week with "Justice". It looks to be a good one. Now if only Clark would just tell Lana. :)

Decent episode.
Pros:
A decent amount of plot movement
Chlark
Lois/Oliver/CK line
Jimmy

Cons:
Lana/CK should be over...he should have not got so ancy in the begining amoubt Lana not marrying over him...time he grows up
7.5/10

I loved this episode, Clois kiss, Lana accepting Lex' proposal! We had Chlo-Lo, and Chlo-lo-kent interaction that has been so missed by me LOL... We had Chloe being amused about Clois haha... We had Clark in uniform fighting, yay! I thought it was great

In all honesty, i was shocked at how enjoyable the episode turned out.
Tom did an awsome job!
Loved the Clana, the Chlark and even the Clois this episode. I even gave Jimmy a few woots when he started throwing down with the thugs.
Hope the rest of the series plays off what was amped up in this episode.
9.8 was great.

I had to give it a 10 just for the simple fact that it is the best episode of the season so far. I loved every bit of it. Well, I could have done without the last 5 mins but the rest was SOOOOOOO GOODDDDDDDD.
First things first. My girl Chloe did her thugthizzle in the episode. She's a TRUE scrappa. No training needed baby!!! The Chlarkois moment in this episode was too funny! The Clana, it was a nice lil sceen and that's all I have to say about that one. The Clois, I enjoyed it. Too funny. Jimmy, HA!! Punched ole dude. TOo funny!
Lexana- *gags*

I rated the episode a solid "8". Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed it immensely - definitely, in my opinion, one of the best this season so far. However, I think that some of the elements were rushed. Still, an awesome episode!

The A-story was kind of lame, but the Lois-Clark-Oliver-Jimmy-Chloe stuff was way fun.
I also really liked the Chloe-Lana scenes. They played out well.

I thought this episode was going to be an "eh, so what" episode [filler until next week's blockbuster], but I was pleasantly surprised. The "Hydro" part was totally secondary to all of the major sorting out of all of the emotions of the characters. I even loved Lana's role in all of this.
Now that Clark and Lois sucked each other's face [and they liked
it!], seeing their facial expressions was priceless. Lois wants more face sucking with the "Green Arrow", while Clark is now all confused about the women in his life [he still pines for Lana, gave Chloe a hug, and is flummoxed by that kiss with Lois]. this is gonna get messy.
As far as Tori is concerned, she'll be back [she needs a job].
Tom did a wonderful job with directing this episode. I hope he does more.
I give this episode an 8 out of 10.
CANT WAIT FOR "JUSTICE" NEXT WEEK!

Overall I was pretty pleased. Like fingerz said, the characters coming together and working out in unexpected ways turned out to be really great.
I liked Chloe in this episode, and that bit between her and Clark was well done. The two of them have really good chemistry, and the "I prefer intergalatic space traveler" line was funny and cute at the same time.
Once again I was impressed with Tom's expressions. He can bring out emotions and reactions in a subtle but effective way, and he's been using that (like after the kiss with Lois and hearing her reaction to it)
Now for the bad bit...Lexana makes me gag, but throwing in that one last bit of Clana make me want to vomit up my spleen. The last 5 minutes with Lana seeming to go back and forth with her answer just seemed to drag, and really annoyed me.
Still overall I was happy....8/10

Loved this episode. TW did a great job directing. I thought everyone turned in really good performances. Considering everything that was going on I thought the pacing was good and everything flowed well. This cast is really good at fun, light moments and comedy. They really should let them doing this more. The Chloe/Linda Lake fight was awesome. Chloe's blow up at Clark was long overdue and I was glad to see Clark give her that hug.
The only part I didn't like was Lana. She is just downright annoying.

I had been waiting for this episode for so long and when it finally got here i didnt like it. I liked parts of it. like the GA/Clark/Chloe/Lois thing. Other than that i thought hydro character was weak and easily killed off. still waiting for what clark said after raya died. he would start his training...there isnt even a hint of him going to the FOS...its like the story lines changed once again. Like i said i loved chloe/clark/OQ/Lois parts.
Cant wait for Justice.
Maybe the anticipation killed it for me or am i wrong in thinking Hydro character was weak. To give them the benefit of the doubt i have to admit i dont like tori spelling. so maybe that had something to do with it.

Although it was a shipper episode, it did not disappoint me. I liked Linda Lake (though I wish they did more with her). The Clana & Lexana was thankfully not the center of the episode. I also liked the aspects they showed of Chloe's friendships with Clark & Lana. The part where Linda was talking to Chloe on the webcam with Lana watching was very well done. I was hoping her discussion with Chloe would have at least given the slightest hint of Clark's secret. That would have made things very interesting. The most interesting thing that has happened with Lana trying to find out Clark's secret was in Fanatic with her theory about a ship landing during the 1st meteor shower and those satellite images she got. I hope they do a nice buildup to when Lana finds out the secret and it's not done all at once.
Anyway, I actually liked Lana's character for most of the episode since she seemed to start growing up and acknowledging Clark as a friend. I just hope they don't switch her into b**ch mode again.

Definitely one of the best episodes of the season thus far. A lot of good character interaction related to the episode, forwarding the story. Great revelations this episode certainly helping to put forward the main storylines of the season. Tom Welling has done a fantastic job in directing one of the finer episodes of thus season thus far. Great start to the second half of the season, let's hope they keep the momentum going, the next several episodes look great. Take care.

Is it just coincidence that the two episodes Tom Welling has directed have both had signifigant things occur between Lana and Lex? In Fragile, they shared their first kiss at the end of the episode, and now in Hydro, they're engaged at the end of the episode. Loved Hydro by the way.

All in all, I would say it was a very satisfying episode, one of the best as it covered all bases pretty well.
Clark and Ollie easily pulled one over on the in-love lois and it is fair to say that Clark enjoys kissing good-looking women. All that practice with Lana, Alicia, and maybe that well-upholstered blonde (don't remember her name but she tried to black Lex and got wasted) must have given him some skills that he was happy to hear get good reviews from an outside party.
Chloe as usual was key to this whole episode and was superb. On the other hand, that new hair style has to go and soon.

This was a great episode. I thought it was just going to be okay, but the show surprised me. Great way to start the second half of the season. Now, the next episode we get to finally see the Justice League followed by an episode featuring Martian Manhunter. What else can a DC Comics Fan ask for?

I loved this episode. It was so much fun on so many levels. Great job directing TW. Not a big Tori Spelling fan but thought she did okay---loved the girl fight between her and Chloe. Loved Chloe blowing up at Clark and him hugging her. Liked that Clark seemed to really enjoy Lois' kiss and that he finds out she loved it too. His facial expressions were particularly good this episode. Jimmy fighting the hoods was pretty funny too.

This was an okay episode. Wasn't all that exciting to me but it was something to watch. I did like the way it was shown that Linda Lake will probably be back at some point with the water sliding off Lana's car. I can't wait until "Justice" episode though.

Good episode, I give it an 8. Few things I didn't like though. Chloe blowing up in Clark's face was completely deserved, but why didn't she give Lana the same treatment at the end? Was also really annoyed by Lana going from being to total b**** to Clark to being nice and expecting that to make him immediately share his secret. The side story with the GA was great. Loved the interactions between all characters: Clark, Lois, Jimmy. Chloe's amusement at the end was also fantastic.

I totally agree. Lana's acceptance speech was poorly written. It totally sounded like she was turning Lex down, she even said she loved Clark, then suddenly Lex was happy and they were engaged. What??? If someone told me they still loved someone else, I don't think I would be in a rush to marry them.
Other than that though, it was a fun and very enjoyable episode- totally back to the old smallville I know and love!!!

Solid, enjoyable episode, but not all it could be due to the Clexana crap.
But fun stuff with the Clark/Lois/GA ruse, and Chloe was totally great in this episode. The Clark/Chloe/Lois scene was truly funny and well played by all. Tori Spelling did a good job and looked like she was having a blast.

Definately agree with you! The only thing that brought the episode down was the rest of the dialogue after she told Lex she loves Clark... other than that... Amazing episode filled with some action, romance, and definately high strung emotions!!! some slight disappointments in character decisions, but overall an excellent piece of Smallville mastery! Can't wait for "Justice" followed by "Labyrinth" followed by "Crimson"
Sounds like a series of amazing Smallville!

I gave it an 8. But what was up with Chloe's hair in this episode? And the last few moments made me feel like I was watching a soap opera, not very kosher.
Definitely one of the better episodes this season. I could spot some weaknesses in the script, but the direction covered them very well. It didn't play at all like only someone's second crack at directing. It just kind of pointed out how much some of the other episodes dragged and how unfocussed they were. It was just too bad that Tori Spelling's acting failed to deliver, because she got one good setup after another. Not that she was horrible, but she didn't really bring it home. Fortunately, her role was fairly minor.
There were a lot of character interactions in this episode, and some important transitions. Clark starts out unwillingly hopeful about Lana, but ends up evidently shutting the door on Clana. He even acknowledges he's got to put things in perspective, which is good, because by the time your ex-girlfriend has gotten involved with another guy to the point that she's having his baby, you need to back away from the situation. As far as you can get. As for Lex -- man, I don't know. He may as well turn in his supervillain credentials right now, because I don't know how any guy with any kind of backbone could have not thrown Lana out in the end. It's just one thing after another with that crazy woman. Lex, work on the black box. Lex, don't work on the black box. Lex, the world doesn't need a Luthor to save it. Lex, I want to spend your money. Lex, I love you. No, wait, I love my ex-boyfriend. Oh, I love you too. Yeah, I guess I'll marry you after all, because you trust me enough to share your creepy dark side with me, unlike my ex-boyfriend, who actually expects me to take responsibility for the baby I'm carrying and marry its father, or I wouldn't be dragging my worthless behind back to the mansion. I'm so pretty.
It was a good Chloe episode, except for the fact that she actually puts up with Lana. After being sneered at by Linda Lake, she figures out her secret and puts up a heck of a fight against her when things go south (why haven't we had any fights this good in any other episode this season?). She's also very funny rubbing it in about the accidental kiss while Clark squirms. Does she know who Green Arrow is now? Uh, that would be a yes. There is another interesting bit for Chloe when Lake taunts her over her morals keeping her in the basement when she could have a big story exposing Clark. Chloe's face falls a bit, but I suspect Chloe's choice to keep the secret will end up paying off for her in the end. It's just too bad that all her work on behalf of Lana to find out who's been spying on her is greeted with typical b*tchy self-absorption. Yeah, that's right, Lana, the most important thing about Clark's secret is the fact that they're keeping it from you, not the possibility that it might pose a threat to Clark. There's a huge difference here between how Clark responds to Chloe keeping secrets during their brief spat and how Lana whines at the perceived slight.
I'd say the major puzzlement about the script is that so much angst is and has been devoted to Clana secrets and lies, but here Clark actively helps Oliver hide his secret, even though he knows Lois is upset. Yes, it makes for some good comedy, but there's a disconnect there. There's also some bad writing in the Clois scenes, where Clark compares Lois's determination to a poodle on a pant leg or something of the kind, which I have to class with that puzzling line from "Sneeze", in which he claims that she won't stop digging until she reaches China. The problem is, we haven't been shown that Lois has that kind of determination. In fact, we saw her give up on a story in "Reunion". We're only told it, and that's relying too much on her iconic name to convey what kind of person she is. The same goes for the belabored attempt to convince us of Clois' closeness when Lois responds that she hates it that Clark knows her like that. It's just like Oliver calling Clark one of Lois's best friends in "Arrow". He does? He is? We've seen mostly bickering with a couple of flashes of serious conversation. I'm not convinced they're close.

This episode was exceptional by Smallville standards. It stands up to the quality of even Buffy! Tom Welling's directing was excellent. The acting was some of the best on the series. I liked how many prolonged close-ups there were at the right moments, especially the scenes when Clark first found out about the engagement and then the later scene when Lana demands an answer about his secret. Instead of the blank stare that has been common in earlier seasons, Tom delicately expressed the character's emotions. The Oliver/Lois/Clark incident was priceless, but Chloe's part in the Talon Apartment was sheer joy. Overall great job at producing an episode with character development and great scenes with more than just two talking heads!

You're right, there is a lot of friction in Clark and Lois' relationship. But friction generates heat. Also, this isn't the first time that closeness and understanding was stated in regard to Lois and Clark. In a previous episode (forget which one, but it was this season) we have Clark saying a similar line to Lois about how much she understands him sometimes.

I give it a ten! i loved it!!! :)
Chloe Sullivan rocked in this episode! My Chloe love is back and better than before. Wonderful Chimmy! Linda Lake was as much fun as I thought she would be. Tom Welling did a great job directing. The blocking was fresh and different and unrepetitive, I loved the outdoor shooting it really paid off and gave the show air... lots of times Smallville seems so confined. Lois and Jimmy working together, Clois kiss, Chloe figuring out about the GA, Lana had some good scenes too. I especially loved the idea of Chloe and Lana doing a stakeout together. LOL! Lois and Oliver doing Yoga. The Chloe/Lois/Clark scene was the highlight of the episode, followed closely by the Chloe/Linda Lake catfight to the death. This episode was a blast. :)

I gave this episode a 10. For me, it's my favorite of season six so far. it had humor and drama. I loved the Chlark scenes. Chloe finally went off on Clark for getting mad at her for keeping Lana's secret. That was good. and he hugged her. i thought that was sweet. Clois. all i have to say is that was one hilarious scene. i loved Clark's face when he pulled off the mask. he had emotion from surprised, confused and delighted all rolled into one. priceless. the scene at the Talon w/ Clark, chloe, and Lois was so great. I loved Chloe's reaction and playing with Clark about the Green Arrow and the kiss. The Clana scene in the loft was bittersweet. I liked how Clark stood his ground and didn't go weak in the knees in that moment. I loved how he said "I hope Lex makes you happy" w/ that straight sad face to her. There was great emotion in this episode. And a lot happened! Clark and Lois kissed for the first time. Chloe finally let out her feelings to Clark. Lana finds out Chloe is hiding Clark's secret. And Lana says yes to Lex's proposal. All in all, i think a great episode. I look forward to the upcoming ones. :)

I gave it a 10. Loved the Chlark and the Clark/Lois/Chloe scene. I am happy that Chloe has maintained her maturity and dignity this season. She no longer pines for Clark and this episode highlights the fact like no other, to me. Also, her interactions with Linda Lake were a blast to watch. My Lana hate has returned in full force. She clearly doesn't know what it means to actually love someone. Seems, all she cares about is being in on the 'secret.' The Ollie/Lois/Clark plot seemed pointless to me. I think the only reason it was written is to get a Clois kiss, which, I suppose is fine with a lot of people, including me. At least it lessened the Clana.

I thought it was a really strong episode, mainly because it didn't focus on things that didn't matter. The FOTW was rather weak in the end, but Spelling played it so over the top that it was light and fun to watch--especially when Chloe was kicking her butt.
However, the bulk of the episode was about the relationships between the characters, and how those shifted. And even despite more Lana-drama, it moved everyone forward, and that was great to watch.
Solid "8," and a welcome relief after "Subterrainian."
And finally, since no one else is mentioning it, I wanna send a shout-out to my man Jimmy Olsen, for fighting off the street thugs and still managing to get some decent pictures. That's what being a photog is all about!

Even with the Lex and Lana situation, it came across more bearable in this episode than in others. I seriously thought that Lex would smack Lana in the end. I only fear now he is accepting her proposal acception as a way to hurt Clark and to in the end hurt Lana. Something sinister is coming out of this. The look on Lex's face when Lana said she still loved Clark was dark and sinister and that is the direction he needs to take. I didn't know Tom Welling had directed this episode until I read it here but he did a good job.

I thought it was a solid episode up until the last scene with Lex and Lana. First it sounds like she's going to say no, then she turns on a dime to say yes. And all with the lame reason that he's shared so much with her. How ironic. But still, that scene could have used a script doctor. It didn't make any sense to me.
Guess we may see Lana becoming the little villainess.

I really liked the episode , especially the part with Tom as The green arrow ... it was fun ... i laughed a lot but I still don't know how Lana agreed to marry Lex ...after saying she still loved Clark ... never mind- her loss ;)

Absolutely Loved the Chloe and Clark and Lois scene... I almost want to say best scene in the series... Loved the comedy! Allison played it perfectly! For me the show could of ended right there..... I really didn't care for the last part of the show
other than it showed Clark letting go of Lana at least I hope!

This episode was great. This episode was Chloe all the way and I can't bash that. Chloe told Lana and Clark off, Clark realized what a butthead he has been to her, Chloe kicked butt, and the end scene with Lois and Clark was hilarious. Allyson really showed her acting skills. The whole Lex, Lana, Clark love triangle was even engaging. Like it as stated earlier, the Freak of the Week was kinda of weak but it was played so over the top and great by Tori Spelling that it worked.

I really liked this episode. It was great for me right up until the end with Lana and Lex.:\ (yep, that whole relationship just icks me out) But besides all that I just thought it was such a fun episode. I liked the conversations between Clark and Lois about Ollie and his secret, loved all the stuff with Chloe and Lana and Clark, reminds me of the good old days. I loved seeing Jimmy and Lois working together, and really hope they show more of that.
Over all I just really liked it. It's definitly one I can watch over and over.:)

I gave it a nine. It wasn't absolutely perfect IMO (Transference... hehe!) but it was very good with drama and comedy.

This was a great episode! Every character advanced. I loved how Chloe figured out that Ollie is the GA. I loved the look on Clark's face after Lois kissed him, and I loved the entire scene where Chloe and Lois told Clark about the kiss later. Jimmy was a true photographer. Lana found out that Chloe knows Clark's secret. And Clark made it plain that he was done with Lana now that she's pregnant. Finally, Lana has to deal with the consequences of her own actions.
There wasn't much action in this one at all, but I am OK with that since Justice is next, and I am hoping for a lot of action in that one. At first I was a little surprised that Lex would even take Lana now that she confessed she loves Clark too. Lex kind of had to pursuade her to say yes at the end, and I was wondering why he would do that, but I guess if they didn't get engaged, then in Lex's mind Clark would have won. Especially after the Clark/Lex argument earlier in the epi. Lex needed Lana to say yes to save face. Now that they are engaged, it's kind of interesting to me that they are going forward with this despite all these questions. Lana would have totally chosen Clark over Lex, if Clark hadn't rejected her about the baby. And Lex knows it. This is a doomed relationship, and it should be interesting to see how much they hurt each other. Lana is defiitely about to shed whatever innocence she has left.
I also got a sinister feeling from Lana when she confronted Chloe about Clark's secret. She's not going to give up on this, and I was reminded of Lex's intrusive digging on Clark. I'm pretty pumped to see where that's going to go.
One of my favorite episodes of the season! Can't wait for Justice!

[/B][/QUOTE]
Some points -
1) Compared to other Smallville episodes this has to rate at the top. There was everything that's been missing from the others. It still has a ways to go but if they can string a few of these together ....
2) Tom Welling directing .... I'm not sure what his directing has to to do with the acting .... but if him being "in charge" brings out the abilities of the others like this one did... turn the thing over to the man ... it looked like this was "their"(the actors) show .. they were having fun ...
3) Clois friendship ... I had a girl that was a friend when I was about Clark's age. We fought like these two do all the time. Guys that were interested in her always assumed there was something going on between the two of us. I knew her like a book - she knew me the same way. We both knew what it took to push each others buttons. This relationship plays the same way. Ironically, we eventually did get together. She did use a typical "Lois" line about Clark's disappearance when the super hero showed up.
3) As for Lexana - as long as it illicits the emotions that it does on here - they will keep bring it back. Besides - they are setting up for the lifelong hatred between Lex and Clark/Superman.

In a sentence: the chickens are coming home to roost.
The gossip columnist/FOTW story was merely a sideshow. The real focus of this episode was the foreshadowing of what five years of secrets and lies will lead to. At this stage of the season we needed an update on where everyone's friendships-allegiances-rivalries stood ... and we got that in spades in "Hydro".
Clark, Lana and Lex
I liked how someone had to announce to Lex that he had a visitor ie Clark. Finally - security is doing their job properly! Clark's no longer welcome as a guest in Luthor Mansion, so it's about damn time he signs in with the other riff-raff and waits his turn. Both Clark and Lex were right: Clark was storming in to do his self-righteous "He's not good for you Lana" routine, while Lex did take advantage of Lana's breakup with Clark to ingratiate himself into her favour. Lex outflanked him though with his trump card: Lana is carrying his child. However Clark may still feel about Lana, she is going to be the mother of Lex's baby. What was he going to do -- pursue a relationship with her nonetheless?
A less mature Clark may have still pressured Lana to reject Lex's proposal with self-interest in mind, but perhaps it started to sink in that Lex has 1-made a commitment to Lana re: the proposal and 2-now has a duty to care for Lana, the mother of his unborn child. Clark can offer only more secrets and lies, despite his affection for her. Lana had little choice but to put her cards on the table and tell Lex that Clark will always be special to her. With the child on the way, Lana took what could be seen (in her eyes) as the more secure and rational route in accepting Lex's proposal.
Lex is a Luthor, and we all know that he won't merely settle for second fiddle. He may have won her vow of marriage -for now- but he wants the 'unconditional' love that Clark appears to offer to her. His bitter expression after she said yes and hugged him said it all - and can we blame him? Lana basically told him that Clark is the love of her life, but she'll settle for Lex. Lex may have been naive for putting all his hopes for redemption in the Lana basket, but you can't blame the guy for expecting that his proposal means he'd like Lana to reciprocate that sort of unconditional love. If not for the baby, would Lex have just accepted that Lana won't (and likely never will) see him as Clark's equal in her heart? Lex quietly resented Clark's status in Lana's eyes over the years, but her declaration of love for Clark had given him something more. He now has a reason to hate Clark for having what he may never claim, which is Lana's love.
Chloe and Lana
Their friendship issues usually don't get the air time that Clark-Lex, Clark-Chloe or Clark-Lana get, but IMHO it's just as interesting. We've already seen that Chloe and Lana's friendship is strained (remember when Lana needed a pretext of returning some old library books to talk with Chloe). Now, Lana feels her confidence has been betrayed (thanks to Linda Lake's watery eavesdropping). Chloe made a good point that the old Lana ie the non-Lex influenced one- would have readily given her the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately, Chloe -like everyone else in town- has (and continues to) flirt with that grey area between keeping a friend's confidence (Clark) and keeping secrets from a friend (Lana). Lana finally expressed what was surely long overdue: that keeping a secret from a friend so they won't get "hurt" -Clark's standard excuse for lying- will usually result in someone getting hurt. When does keeping one friend's confidence become lying to another friend? That is Chloe's dilemma. By her actions, Chloe has chosen Clark's friendship over Lana's and it will be her secret-keeping for Clark that will eventually break her friendship (what is left of it) with Lana.
Clark and Chloe
Oh, those secrets and lies. How typical of Clark to automatically assume that it was Chloe that leaked the info to the gossip pages! Note to Clark and Lana: giving the "benefit of the doubt" - look it up sometime. It was truly satisfying for Chloe to get her spine up and call him on his sanctimonious crap. You go girl, it was long overdue! He can't expect her to keep his secret for him, yet get mad at her when some of those secrets get exposed. I wish Pete was around long enough to tell off Clark too! Chloe's loyalty to Clark is admirable, but he should also realize that it is coming at a price: her friendship with Lana, the risk of compromising her professional integrity, [insert reason here]. Her lingering loyalty to Lana meant that Clark was kept in the dark about his ex's baby ... and unfortunately it set him up for Lex's deliciously vengeful revelation: "You have her love, but she has my baby!" - that was the jist of it. One wonders how Chloe manages to remain friends with Clark AND Lana at this point.
Clark and Oliver
The whole "Is-Ollie-the Green Arrow?" mystery was also just window dressing and a humorous sidebar to what is going to be the central issue of a future JLA: trust. Clark can relate to what it is like to live with a hidden identity and Lois was close to revealing the Green Arrow's. Lois did raise a point about how something like a secret identity would create trust issues, and -luckily for Clark- she was talking about the Green Arrow. Clark had Ollie's back this time, and while the deception will likely have a future impact on Ollie and Lois' relationship, it demonstrated the lengths Clark will go to help a future teammate ... and, yes, to protect Lois from getting hurt. Sound familiar?
Make no mistake -- after this episode, Lex's dispute with Clark is no longer a rivalry. The fence-sitting is over. It will be a war. Everyone involved will have to take sides. Lex is mad, and he'll plan to get even.

Can we say character growth???
Relationships on SV are not bad. They are only bad when they don't help the characters grow and move forward. Hydro gave us that forward motion in spades.
I have to say it was one of my fave this season. Tori did nothing for me, but on some level her campiness and bad acting worked. We finally finally saw some drama for Chloe. Thank goodness!!
The Clana/Lexana played out really well. Better than I had expected. Except for the final scene, I thought their interactions made sense, well acted, and well-directed. Nice.
The Clois kiss was hilarious and fit right in character for them. TW demonstrated so much emotion in his facial expressions in their scenes. The oliver/Lois/Clark stuff was just fantastic. More please!
I feel really guilty for loving the Lois and Jimmy scenes. But whee! I love that he was involved in her scheming and at first, she didn't even know :)
Lana didn't bug me. I felt like she's matured a lot here.
I am still not happy that Lex seems exclusively set in Lexana. (We need some more Lex and Lionel scenes, please.) But it is in character for Lex to get obsessive like that. He's always wanted what he couldn't have. I feel like he does love Lana--he sees her as a way to keep him sane. But at the same time, he does treat her as a prize that he has won over Clark. Totally Lex if you ask me. Just...we need to see him do something other than Lexana.
But what else can I say? This episode was fantastic. Let's let TW direct some more. He does a bang up job. Totally enjoyable episode.
Besides Spelling being in it - I thought that it was pretty decent. I don't really care that much about Lana any more and her decision making problems and blame-game issues - but that's just my opinion.
Overall - I liked the show - good lead into the JL next week :D
better than I expected. 8/10
I LOVED it!! Welling did an amazing job as director.
I loved Lois being a reporter! I loved how she, Jimmy and Clark were working together like they were already working for the DP. I loved Clark covering Ollie... so cute, man :D I loved all things Chloe: her fighting, her standing up to Clark and Lana and her last scene with Lois and Clark! I friggin' loved Clois!!!!
:breathes:
Even Lana wasn't as annoying as usually. That's because she could see now how riculous was her behaviour and keeping her own harem. And I loved it that Clark didn't tell her and simply decided that she is just lost now :D It was nice of him to try to save her at first, but good to see him letting go. Take that, Lana! :D Heh. Lexana made me blegh, uninterested.

I really liked this episode. Tori Spelling, on the other hand, not so much. I think her acting was severely lacking, and her character was really dumb. (not to be mean, but I was distracted by her manly face the entire episode...it actually made me tune out everything she said...) But, Clark and Lois were both really great in this episode. I loved the Clois interaction.... so much. Although I was hoping for more of a passionate kiss.:) I thought Tom did a bang up job directing, too. Chloe was awesome in this episode. She FINALLY went rage-mode on Clark about the whole secret keeping deal. Clark obviously knew she needed to do it, because he didn't even say anything to her, just gave her a hug. Awww. :) Lex wasn't in this episode too much, which sort of disappointed me. Lana got on my nerves so bad though. It was almost like she decided she was still in love with Clark and was sick of Lex, went to confess her love to Clark, got shot down, and was like "Eh, I guess I could settle for Lex. Ok, I'll marry you." I miss the old La......well not really. :) But, she needs to get her act together. My favorite scene of the whole episode was when Lois was telling Clark about kissing GA. Chloe was HILARIOUS in that scene. So up beat. Clark's reaction to Lois (raising his eyebrows) was classic. Overall, I give the episode an 8.

Now that!!!....was a good episode :D
Probably the best of the season so far.
But I also just realized that the future of Lana isn't going to be so good.
What I think will happen is that Lex is gonna cause Lana's death and than Clark will hate him forever.

I wish for once clark would just act normal,
After lex said she was carrying his child clark should have said ewww thats just disgusting, you can have her, peace out lol.
Well that action sequence was just spectacular......sarcastic...
HAHAHAHA, LANAS SUCH AN IDIOT ITS COMICAL.
It wasnt that bad of an episode 3/5
I told clark not to touch lana with a 10 ft pole and he listened. They cut a part out of this episode.
Lana: I love you
Clark: Your a tainted biatch... Get out!
Lana: But clark...
Clark: I said good day!
Lana runs out of the room knowing how dirty and [censored]ty she has become, her only option.... marry lex for his money..

yes there was def. alot of secrets in this episode! which was funny to watch! the beginning where chloe tells clark that lana still has feelings for him was kind of sloooooooooooow..like hi clark speak!!
lol
other then that episodewas amazing..i couldn't believe lex straight up told clark about the baby..i really was hoping that that might have been after the justice episode. but wow! i screamed! and that part with tori spelling (i was surprised on how well she did in this epi) n the whole ure farmboy is an alien...oh man oh man! hahahaa n that part with lana n chloe ooooh drama between them now..ouch on the "that was clark used to say to me"
and oooooooooooo the part with clark n lana .."watever chloe is hiding to protect you" "please trust me" how sad is that!! i mean if you love someone so much and they don't trust you n now ure beggin them to let u in! omg my heart broke to her..just cause i mean that sucks! and then poor clark, i mean he had the point.."well everythings changed now, i know about the baby"
man i mean seriously what would lana do if clark said yes i love u lets get back together ...man this season is good!

I would have to give it an eight. It was definitely better than some, but I wouldn't have said it was the best since the season premiere.
I agree that Tom Welling did a great job as a director. Actually just about everyone was in peak form. In some ways it was just a filler episode, but it was a well done filler episode.
I was actually kind of glad it didn't go back to the whole Clana thing, which is where it looked like it was going for a short time. Clark and Lana really need to get over it and grow up. He made his choices, and she made hers. From what I read of this episode, it's over. Finally.
I am concerned however about Lana, at this point ever finding out about Clark, because she WILL tell Lex. That was her choice. Of course, I suppose in Smallville, it really doesn't matter, because eventually the whole world will find out unless he puts on a costume like Ollie Queen does and hides his face.
Linda Lake is not dead. This was the whole point of the water moving down the hood of Lana's car and onto her tires. We will see her again. She will probably tell Lex Clark's secret.
All this is leading up to the season finale, which may or may not be the show's final episode so they're obviously trying to go for broke here with the storyline.

I was with most of you in thinking this episode was decent up until the last 5-10 minutes. The writers need to make up their mind about Clark and Lana, so that i can make up my opinion about them. I am a proud clana fan as my name indicates. This episode like every other episode which dangles possibilities for me, i seem to swallow like a retarded fish, then I die when the writers reveal that they have tricked me again. I dislike the similarities between the end of this episode and the end of Blank from Season 4. I cried, I swore, I Screamed. I respect the clois fans and the chlark fans, if they would stop teasing me with clana maybe, I would consider changing sides but probably not. And I thought this episode was great till the end, then i hated it. I apologize

I don't think that she's dead. She splashed onto Lana's windshield, rolled off of the hood, then trickled down into the underground drainage system. It felt like a loose end to me, also it didn't seem that any of them ever really discovered that she was 'water'. Don't Kryptonite mutants revert back into their human form when they die? Personally, I don't like 'water creatures' who become Water. It was the ONLY thing I didn't like about this episode.:( Everything else was Great! Tom's direction and interpretation was, for the most part (since he HAD to work with a 'water creature' , etc. :\ ) meticulously insightful. I loved every character's interaction with the other. Linda Lake's character was the perfect evil foil to mix up into our beloved characters' lives. I LOVED it! :D

I just finished giving a "1-2 Punch" to the obnoxious commenters responding to Al Gough's interview over on "Geekmonthly.com". As you all know by now, I can be a bit long-winded sometimes. Well, while there was a teensy bit of New info. from Al Gough, the rest was old info. to most of us on this forum. The comments were mostly whining and complaining. I just couldn't take it anymore. My long-windedness blew a tornado their way. The greater part of us being able to share in our love of Smallville is that it should be a fun activity. I just had to remind them of that. BTW, I LOVED "Hydro", too.

This was one of the better episodes this season. Lots of things happened in this episode and it actually felt like it had a purpose. And it featured a FotW that you actually couldn't wait to see die( even though I don't think she's dead).
I got a kick out of seeing Clark's reaction when Lois said the GA( who was Clark in disguise) kissed way better than Oliver. Which means Superman is the best kisser. Feel proud, Clark!!!!
My only complaints with this episode is the sappy Lexana at the end and the fact that in some scenes Tom Welling looked and acted exhausted. I swear in that one scene in the talon it looked like he was fighting to keep his eyes open. This isn't the first time something like this happened to Welling. In 'Fanatic', he looked bored out of his mind. And in this one, he looked and acted like he wanted to curl up on the couch and sleep. The man was exhausted I tell yah.
But anyway, I give 'Hydro' a 9/10.

Other than the freakoftheweek, I thought it was one of the best episodes this season.
Much better than the other episode Tom Welling directed.
I loved it!
Though, I do think they gave Tom a lot of important things.
Like "in your episode, you can have Lana find out Chloe is keeping Clark's secret. And Clark finds out about Lex and Lana's marriage/baby. And Lana is still in love with Clark. And Lana says yes to Lex."
You know what I mean?
I thought it was great, but I think he was given a lot of good material already.

Loved the ep up to the final scene. That ending scene was retarded IMO. "I love Clark, but sure I'll marry you Lex!" 2 things that I really hated about that were:
1.) The fact that Lana says yes right after she confesses she still has feelings for Clark. I almost get the feeling that she would've settled for either Clark or Lex. If Clark actually told her his secret in the scene before, she probably would've ditched Lex and went back to Clark. But since he didn't, she just settled for the other choice, which was Lex. Sorry, but she acted like a complete whore IMO.
2.) How shallow does Lex have to be to actually be happy after hearing that Lana still loves his much hated nemesis? If that was me and my girlfriend confesses she has feelings for some guy I hate, THEN immediately says yes to my proposal, I would've broken up with her right there and tell her to get the hell out.

Is there a bad thing to say?
Few shows, and even this show in certain episodes, have trouble keeping multiple plots weaved together without loosing the flow of the story, Especially, when the directors only directed one other episode.
Surprisingly, I loved Tori Spelling. Maybe its because shes one of the only freaks of the weaks with relations to all the characters and plots, and because she was given something to work with, even if her power was a tad lame. Her role was needed and well acted.
I loved all the relationships going on, and appreciate how this will be a good leadup to Justice.
Let the second half of the season redeem the first.

I very much liked this ep and give 8.5.
Chloe was fabulous, the story was pretty good, and I loved all the interactions between characters.
My only grip was Clark's part. Usually he is fabulous, but I thought he lacked direction, or a second opinion or input on his role. I liked his directing except for his role.
All in all it was a well put together episode and flowed really well.

I would have to say it was the best episode so far in season 6.
I loved it when Clark dressed up as the Green Arrow to protect Oliver's Idenity.
I loved the Clois Kiss, It's a shame she slapped him afterwards.
Chloe was very kick-ass in this episode.
And the Lexana scenes were awesome as always.

Great episode...I loved olliver-lois-clark's scenes and it's about time Chloé tell Lana & Clark to back off. They always put her in the middle,a very delicate position to be between friends and it always been that way ever since this series started.Lana was annoying, always after Clark's secret...Will she ever stop? She didn't want him to know that she's carrying Lex's child but, she's still hoping that he would tell his secret. Also, she tells Lex that she still loves Clark and she wouldn't hesited to say yes if it was him who asked instead but,at the end,she accepts Lex's proposal?Girl, you so lucky to be pregnant right now...I'm sure that he would have put a knife on your throat right there

It's head-shaking that so many people found this episode to be a 9 or 10...Don't get me wrong I enjoyed parts of this episode aswell, but there was so many inconsistencies, disconnects, and re-hashes I can only come to the conclusion that any episode that Tom directs or bashes Clana will get the thumbs up treatment by this class of fans...I honestly believe silly things like the Clois kiss (aka Clark kissing some old lady) and the Clana crapfest is why people rated a rather averagely executed episode so highly...Perhaps it's a reaction based in comparison to the season so far, but as an individual episode all this episode did was re-hash and reinforce the same Clana angst, Clexana uncertainty, and make Lana again look like a fool (To the glee of most of the people here no doubt)...It also showed that Clark still even at this point pines for Lana non-stop and by the end of the episode (as if 5 seasons have passed) Clana is officially dead for the 800th time?? Head-scratch much??
Now I have defended Lana's character for some time now and have accepted some out-of-bounds changes made to her because KK has made some of it worth it, but this episode made her void of all sensibilities and back-tracked her character beyond belief...The same Lana who is insulted at Clark looking at her as Lex's puppet in Subterranean is trying to coax him in the next episode (While she's pregnant aswell)?? Again I'm supposed to accept Chloe lying to her, treating her like some fool and get pi$$ed at her for asking what any normal friend with half a brain would ask (especially when they hatched the plan to bug Hydro-girl in the first place)?? She took a hammer to the labtop just before the good part and tried to glaze over it like it was some bull$hit when she speaks to Lana...No one would tolerate this type of behavior from someone whose suppose to be their best friend, but since it's Lana Lang in an episode that includes a Clois kiss I guess this is acceptable...
I mean the whole Clark secret thing is no longer the elephant in the room it's a full fledged galaxy with it's own sun and black-hole...It's like we have to ignore the fact that Clark and Chloe have all but written an affidavit telling everyone they know some "BIG SECRET"....So it's no longer "What are you hiding Clark??" it's more like, "Everyone and there mama knows you guys are hiding some HUGE secret and you gloss around it to a nauseating level..." and to make matters worse Clark is seemingly ready to take Lana back ignoring the entire crapnicity of "Reckoning" and then the ill-fated "Hypnotic" which was suppose to kill the pairing...So basically before he finds out she's preggers he's gonna take her back ignoring all the things the story has enforced to us since last season's 100th episode...
Now if this episode has some in-depth continuity I might change my opinion a bit, but if it doesn't this was a rather average episode with some good Clexana and Clollie moments...I mean Lex and Hydro-girl's arrangment is ignored by the time the episode ends and Tori Spelling's entire character and inclusion seemed forced and dry (pardon the pun)...Her powers were uninspiring and lame aswell...Ok episode but I don't see TW wearing a Speilberg visor anytime soon based on this episode...Not that I can convince any of you that....
I gave the ep a 6.5 for the good, although re-hashed Clexana stuff and Chloe finally telling Clark he's a spaz....Also Clark for understanding that Lana's connection to Lex is too close for him to tell her anything involving his secret (as if he was about to anyways--Clark says nothing about confiding anything in her, yet pretends he would have if she wasn't with Lex's child)...Overall this episode seemed to be yet another RESET episode that had us believing it wouldn't be...

The main story was just another FOW thing but all the side story stuff was great.
I think Clark loved playing the Superhero without fear of being recognised. Hopefully this will spur him on into realising what he has to do with his life.
The whole pretending to be Green Arrow and accidentally getting Chloe thinking he is GA was a master stroke.
By the way, how many scenarios can the producers think of to get Lois in her skimpies?? lol. I'm not complaining of course.

My first post! I love Smallville, but I only rated this episode an 8. I thought Spelling's character was a bit lame, and her acting made it worse. I thought everything else was excellent, even the Clark / Lana scene at the end was not too bad. Chloe was awesome throughout.

[/B][/QUOTE]
Hi "jor-eldeux",
[French?, Canadian?, Cajun?...You don't really have to answer that. Only innocent curiosity connected to your "name".]
:) I enjoyed reading your impressions of this episode as well as your well-placed attention to the detail of certain past dialogues in prior episodes. Your objectivity is evident and fair. It seems like you've got a pretty good eye on the bigger picture in Clark's Smallville story. I try to have that perspective as well, so, I do appreciate your attitude. You touched upon several plot contrivances I've noticed, too, and have been thinking about commenting on. You've already done that, so Thanks for your input and opinions. It is interesting and fun to look at episodes the way you laid this one out. I, too, am quite new to this forum, but as you can see only a drop in the big bucket that is this large forum. However, I welcome you to the discussions. Have fun! ;)

Oh yeah... Honestly, after the episode, I went to my friend's house (all clois and chimmy's fan) and have this huge party...haha.. It was fun!!!
i gave it a 6.....sometimes when i haven't watched smallville in a while i like the next episode much more than i should.
So i tried to rate it how i saw it, which is above satisfactory. The lana still loving clark thing didn't seem real for some reason, i liked all the chloe-in-the-middle stuff but felt sorry for her cos it always seems to happen to her.
The Lois/green arrow side story was ok but i just felt that not much happened in this episode, except for Lana finding out that Chloe knows his secret which was the best part of the episode.
I knew she would end up marrying Lex cos it will be so much more dramatic when her baby dies and she leaves lex or whatever happens, i.e it opens the door for drama later in the season.

The episode was awesome!!! It made me registered member on this forum just to say few words - it was so damn good... :)
Some say that didnt happen a lot in this ep, but I think quite opposite! I liked this ep for happening so much affecting so much relations - Lex-Lana, Lana-Clark, Lois-Clark, Lana-Chloe, Lex-Clark... I just wanna say - Way to go Tom!!! Just keep writing such eps, its bullseye , at least from my perspective. Emotional eps with much realion-effects! 10 as crystal-pure!

Tom Welling's second or third directed episode was pretty good!
This one had a completely different feeling----more like a movie than a TV series, but it really worked!
I hope Tom directs more episodes.
One question, though?? Doesn't Superman have an ice-breath power or "ability" as the folks in SV refer to it???
If he does posses ice breath, then they need to come up with a creative way to introduce it.
PS: I think I can speak for the rest of the female and for the gay male population when I say:
Clark and Lex need more shirtless time onscreen!!;)

Clark has superbreath, which he can use to blow things away or can also use to cool/freeze things if he exhales super cold air. I'm sure he can steam up windows if he exhales superwarm air.

I'm a little late getting my two-cents in on this one, but I thought it was a good episode. Spelling did alright in her role, which was a relief, and the overall plot wasn't too bad.
The thing that really stood out in this episode was the camera work. CGI was a little cheap at times, but that's ok. The camera focus on the characters face, a prime example is the Clark and Lana scene in the barn, made the story much more appealing.
I didn't notice such work in earlier eps this season, or maybe it was simiilar, but for some reason it really stood out to me in this episode.
Lois also had some good lines this episode, which is always welcome. Chloe's teasing of Clark is fun too, subtle banter is something that actors/actresses on this show do quite well and the writers should continue taking advantage of it.
I'd give hydo a good 8/10. Now on to Justice! :)

Crazy4Smallville's Weekly Review 6:10 Hydro
I know... I'm a week late for this one. I actually didn't even think about writing my review after watching last week's episode. I don't know why. I really enjoyed the episode and thought it was quite funny, but until this morning - contemplating my review of Justice, I remember that I had skipped one for this episode.
So, this week - you get a two fer'.
I didn't particularly like Tori Spelling as Linda Lake. She reminded me of the spoiled brat, turned ghost freak, back in Smallville. I was waiting for her to shout out, 'Laterz' at any moment. Also, her character didn't really go out with a splash; more like a drizzle. I have a feeling that wasn't the last we're going to see of this water nymph.
Surprisingly, some the best parts of this episode were the Lexana scenes. Rosenbaum and Kruek really do have a lot of chemistry together on screen, making Lana's character tolerable. TPTB couldn't help spooning us one last bit of Clana down our throats, but hopefully that's it.
This episode had a lot of different elements. It was a comedy one minute and a deep emotional scene the next, but the chemistry of it worked. Not too much of either one, making it the right combination to send me away at the end with a smile on my face and going, 'Ahh - that was good.'
The Clark/Oliver/Lois triangle was well depicted, especially the look on Clark's face after that kiss, and after Lois' reaction to the kiss at the end of the episode. Those moments were priceless.
The Clark/Lex/Lana triangle was well played with Clark going through a roller coaster of emotions concerning Lana. First shocked, down, then up, hopeful, then more shock, then disappointment, then down, then finally leveling out. That's a lot of emotion to get through in just one episode, but I think Clark pulled it out. I also think Lana did a very tasteful job with her own. She readily admits she loves Clark, but knows that she can't go back and looks forward instead.
The only bit that really irritated me was Lana's self-righteous attitude. But, that's only because I knew Chloe didn't spill the beans on her, but she should have given Chloe the benefit of the doubt. I think this is yet another example of how their friendship is really still on the surface level - not having really any depth.
I was glad to see Chloe put Clark in his place when he started going off on his self-righteous rampage and about secrets and lies. His reaction toward her brought back my old Chlark desires. He really loves her and she really loves him - and it's a shame they don't have the opportunity to share that love.
Anyway - there's a lot more in this episode that I loved - especially the whole Oliver Queen/Green Arrow cover-up, Jimmy moonlighting with Lois, Lois' hilarious attempt at uncovering the truth, and so on. That whole storyline was awesome and well played out.
The previews of Justice left me with tingles.... I can't wait!
Till next time,
~Crazy4Smallville

well not finding any words to describe it.....just i dont know...super duper ultra hyper great nice episode...and by the way u think because tom directed it,it has something to do with the lois kiss or the clana scenes again ?i mean the script is fat too good for CLARKS characher...first the clana talk and the loves scenes second the lois scene with the kiss and THIRD....clarks kissing abilities way better than olivers which are already good...well....!gimme a break tom:)

After a year of not really liking most of the episodes, I really enjoyed Hydro. It had a lot of good stories for each of the characters. Jimmy and Lois weren't just there for comfort or eye candy. I am glad to see they showed that Lana wasn't able to "stop" having feeling for Clark immediately as was shown, since most of the episodes prior to Hypnotic, it was mostly Lana declaring her love for Clark.
I am glad to see that Lana has awakened from her coma of ignorance and now openly states she knows Clark and Chloe are in "cohoots".
I have rewatched the ep. several times, something I haven't done since Solitude.
I OFFICIALLY think that Lex should be renamed something more appropriate, say like.....Doormat. Could he be anymore of a whimp? Since we know that Lex has been with MANY, MANY women, I must now assume that she is the best think in bed since the Craftmatic. Why else would a man Still want to marry a girl who even tells him that she is still in love with someone else and may stay in love forever. Well Lana, just keep wiping your feet on Doormat.

Hydro is my favorite episode of Season Six. I even like Hydro better than Justice. Great cast, great episode, and I loved the script. Tom Welling was so cute in the Green Arrow costume. Lois says she knew it wasn't Oliver by the way Clark/Green Arrow kissed her. But I am thinking, "Lois, you forgot to point out 1 thing to Clark and Chloe; you forgot to say, 'The Green Arrow is much taller than Oliver.'" Now why didn't Lois think of that? (Even I would have thought of that).
The kiss between Clark/Green Arrow and Lois was great, but it was too short. I also loved the quotes from Lana, especially, "When I was with Clark, I would have said yes without hesitating." And when she said to Lex, "I went to see Clark, and I love him." I loved the fight between Clark and Lex, especially when Clark said, "You knew she was vulnerable, and you played her until she thought she was in love with you." And Lex cleverly said to Clark, "If you really see Lana as that naive, you obviously don't think as much of her as I do."
The speech Chloe gave to Clark was excellent (and Allison did a great job when she broke down and cried). I especially liked the one with "alien from another planet." Clark replied to Chloe, "For the record, I prefer 'intergalactic traveler' over 'alien from another planet.'" Chloe just laughed. They hugged each other. Isn't that cute? The comical part was when Jimmy was so excited about showing Chloe the Green Arrow pictures (and he was going to show Chloe who the mystery man was, under the Green arrow costume). Then the Green Arrow pictures disappeared. Jimmy was hilarious when he said, "No. No. No. No. No. This is not happening."
I loved the Lana and Clark scene. What she said to Clark was very touching. Especially when she said, "Clark, you said that you didn't love me anymore, and I tried to cut everything off, but I'm not made that way. Even if we're not talking, you're still a part of my life, and I'm not trying to deny it anymore. I'm trying to put it into perspective." You could see the tears in Lana's eyes (Kristin's a good actress), when she said to Clark, "Clark...(tearfully) please, just this once...just trust me."
I liked the Jimmy scene with Chloe when he said, "I always thought that Green Arrow was super cool, I didn't realize he was super human." Allison was fantastic when she had a big smile on her face, after Jimmy said, "I didn't realize he was super human."
Last, but not least, my favorite part of Hydro was the Clark, Chloe & Lois scene. Chloe stole the show when she said, "Oliver's not the Green Arrow. Can you believe that? Luckily Oliver showed up when our hero was still around. It looks like you were way off base about him! And the craziest part was that he chucked a guy across an alley, right? And then he supersped away. Now who does that?" Clark looks at Chloe angrily and says, "Hmm." (It was worth watching Hydro just to see the look on Clark's face. Tom Welling did an excellent job with that look). Then Lois complimented Green Arrow/Clark by saying that Green Arrow was a better kisser than Oliver. Clark looked at Lois lovingly and said, "Hmm." (Tom had a nice smile that was really worth watching. Tom did an excellent job when he smiled). The line that is unforgettable was when Lois said, "He was holding me in his arms. Ollie's a good kisser -- don't get me wrong -- but that Green Arrow, he could teach Ollie a thing or two."
Tom Welling did a great job in this episode (acting as well as directing). This is my favorite episode out of season six. (I like this episode better than Justice).

I have to say this was a gr8 episode clois wise and chloe kicked ass to...the kiss scene was fantastic ..and the end past with chloe "this is the best part" was gr8
but i do have to say ...this episode reminded me of why i hate lana so much ...the way she spoke to chloe and the desparado reutine didn't wash ..she became frustrating to watch and reuined the rest of the epi ......but other than that ...it was a good one

Well, I see you folks have already watched the repeat airing of "Hydro". The CW in the New Orleans area is airing it this coming Sunday night. I'll be watching again happily. I LOVED this episode, too. I rated it a 9 out of 10 because I hated Linda Lake's meteor power--turning into water?? Aggh!! Also, IMO, I didn't think the Obvious difference between Green Arrow and Oliver was a height difference, but a weight/size difference. Oliver is well-built, beautiful, but really thin. There's a lot of mass difference between the two of them. Anyway, my complete feelings are somewhere dated near the original airing (if you're interested), but for anyone who hasn't seen it, please, watch it. It was a real fun episode. Tom really did a great job acting AND directing.

I enjoyed "Hydro" an awful lot, really, even after second watch. One of the things I liked the most was that Chloe held her own, even when she was being attacked by both Lana and Clark, and unfairly might I add. It was high time that she step up and tell them off for getting mad at her for keeping their secrets from each other, when she's always the most loyal confidante. Linda Lake really managed to make some waves (pun intended) in the Clark/Lana/Lex plotline, and did so in a pretty believable way. Even though I was done with Clana, I couldn't help but feel a little bit sad with how things ended up between the two of them by episode's end, with her so hopeful, and Clark really changed by that point and, once again, refusing to let her in. Lana's eventual acceptance of Lex's proposal seemed really weird, especially with the way she started off with saying that she loves Clark and always will. If I had been Lex, I think major warning lights and sirens would have been blaring at that point, but maybe that's just me. I think I appreciated this episode even more after seeing the recent "Infamous," because it made the uncertain fate of Linda Lake make that much more sense, and helped me make more connections as to how much and what Linda Lake actually knew about Clark and his friends.

This is the toughest episode to rate. Half the episode I love, the other half is complete crap.
I thought the Lois/Clark/Ollie/Jimmy plotline was fun on the flip side the Linda Lake was terrible in 2 reguards, first it was the first time we really seen Clexana triangle take center stage for an episode, secondly Clark looks bad not taking care of Linda himself.
Overall when you mesh the 2 plots and completely different moods from Clark in it, it comes off very uneven(one minute he is sad and depressed, the next he seems happy and well adjusted).
I give the Lois/Clark/Ollie/Jimmy plot a 10 and the Linda Lake one a 3, average that out you get 6.5 out of 10. Overall I give is a 6(I knock half a point off because the uneven feel of it). If there was ever one episode to show why I like Lois(fun and light hearted) and dislike Lana(consatnt angsty drama), this episode was it
In all honesty they should have made this 2 completely different epsiodes(I think we all could have lived without Subterrean). It sort of reminds of of Persuassion this season that had 2 plots that Clark was involved in that didn't fit together and felt uneven ruining the overall feel of the episode.
I think I appreciated this episode even more after seeing the recent "Infamous," because it made the uncertain fate of Linda Lake make that much more sense, and helped me make more connections as to how much and what Linda Lake actually knew about Clark and his friends.
Actually Infamous opens up a huge plothole. Lex paid Linda to find something on Clark, at the end of Hydro we figure that Linda died so she never had a chance, but Infamous says she lived another day. Now wouldn't Lex hunt her down to get that info from her at some point if she did live.
