Just had a thought about Peter's "dream" at the end of "Fallout"... could it really come true?

The reason I say or ask this is, didn't Hiro say to Peter at the end of "Collision" something about not recognizing him without the scar? But of course, Peter doesn't have the scar in the dream or vision... yet... Hiro from a period of time before the Hiro we saw, saw him there. No scar.

Could I be onto something or am I just cracked out?

You are SO ON CRACK Craig. :)

I'm going to piggie back on this.

Peter has power - and it's obviously connected to his dreams; He's had them about Nathan and arguably Sylar could be a prohpetic dream.

My guess is that he's Ted in his dream, or has some how absorbed Ted in his dream.

Cause blowing up? Signifcently bigger than a scar. :P

It definitely seems as if Peters dreams are connected to reality (for example what-her-name's dad who died, but had a dream about Peter), and much of it seems to be from other people's perspectives. So I'm guessing that the dream in Fallout was from Ted's perspective and..... Ok, here's the crazy part, and it's gonna rock your worlds so get ready.... the reason why Nathan is walking towards Peter while everyone else is running away is NOT because he is walking towards his brother, he is in fact walking towards Ted, because Nathan is about to make the ultimate sacrifice by flying Ted away from the city before he goes BOOM! That's right, Nathan go bye bye too! Which makes sense from a storytelling perspective - the guy who has the most doubt, who has no real faith that his ability could make a difference in people's lives, will ultimately come to use his gift in the most selfless act imaginable and earn his hero status in martyrdom.

So there, your worlds have now been sufficiently rocked

Wow, that is REALLY interesting good spec!

Though Nathan is one of my favorite characters.... that does make a lot of sense from a storytelling perspective.

yep, that's a good theory. Also because I think that we don't have to take all Peter's dream literally ;)

1x07 Nothing to Hide

Peter: This painting is the key - with this thing we can make a difference.

Nathan: I'm trying to make a difference Peter, the best way I know how. Flying around, how is that gonna help anybody? What am I gonna do when I get there? I don't have a gun, I don't have a badge, I don't know karate. I guess I could put on a custume and fly around pulling cats out of trees. That's not gonna make a difference.

Peter: You're not gonna know until you try.
That conversation is crying out "setup". They really go out of their way to impress upon the audience how much Nathan thinks his flight is worthless. Now, I suppose Nathan doesn't have to die, he could drop him off over the ocean or something, who knows. But I definitely think he's going to be called on to get Ted out of the city.

The person that blows up surely must be the guy giving off radiation or Syler after absorbing too much power.

Sorry cant remember name. Only just started watching the show!!

w00t heroes forum :D

ok .....ive been watching this since first ep came out.
:p

I think i can explain peter's dreams. and how they started happening.

if im not wrong peter mentioned to the painter that he doodled himself with wings when he first met him right? soo what im thinking is that he is the rogue of this series who can absorb powers HOWEVER unlike rogue he can keep them. And just like rogue (in some versions) what ever person rogue/peter absorbs he also has their memories and such.(i.e. sylar saying you think you can handle it message) If you notice his dream sequence is VERY similar to the one he had when he was with the painter finishing the canvas. We saw him standing there seeing it happen. With Peter's obviously he couldnt be standing aside seeing everything happen, but we still saw him see everybody and seeing the cheerleader say im sorry and everybody is running away as if they KNEW it was going to happen and were kind of hanging there. So yes i think his dream can come true based on the fact he can see the future after he met the painter.

If you notice, the more peter is with someone who is special the more his powers is i would say "leveled up" because when peter met the painter(telling from the dialog) peter's eyes didnt turn white, and he didnt sketch a masterpiece either, then when he met him again THEN his eyes turned white.

but yea i completely agree with khufu here peter's bro is walking towards him very confidently and with no expression of fear either.

hmm thats really interesting. i definitely think Peter has some sorta power stealing ability but i think it is a little more like Phoebe from Charmed. It fits in with his dreams a little bit more. Because if you remember his first dream about Natan was before he met Isaac. I think he is just an empath. During the first couple of episode he is decribed as being empathetic by several different people. I think his dream about Nathan was him sortof telepathically reaching out. I am not sure how exactly to describe his dream about himself blowing up but i think his dream about Sylar wasn't completely a dream. I think that was Sylar doing that. Its like the playground bully attacking the new kid for defending the other kids. He is trying to get Peter to become afraid of him while not letting on that he is slightly afraid of Peter. Just my humble two cents

Of course whos to say that Peter absorbs the power from the nuclear guy and cant control it. We say in his meeting with Matt (the guy who hears thoughts) that he didnt know what was happening or how to control it, the same with flying as well. Even the nucleur guy cant control it. Who is to say that the writers dont use this to kill Peter or make it look like he is dead as the seasons cliff hanger. Of course I like to think it is just a foreshadowing and not the actually event. For examble the kid that has been helping out Mohinder has the ability to go in peoples dreams and help them figure out things, only giving them info that helps them. Who is to say that kid is not doing the same to Peter.
Of course keep mind evryone around when he blows:

Claire-Regenration
Nathan-Flys
Hiro-Ability to stop time

and keep in mind that we have seen Peter be able to keep powers for a little while after being around. He could stop time. fly up in the air, blow him self up and then rejuvenate himself.
Of course now I am just rambling, Sorry!
