Talk about the young technopath here.
I like him but hope we get to see more of his power. its cool that he can control technology.

I'm really enjoying Micah. I look forward to seeing where they go with his character. :)

I'm not too fond of his power to be honest, it seems unnatural as opposed to supernatural. For example, superstrength and a healing factor (Nikki and Claire) are more enhanced versions of what humans have. Being empathic with technology though... meh. Especially since our kind of technology has only been around for, what, 100 years? It's not as though a great evolutionary leap related to things affecting humans over a century is as likely as an evolutionary leap related to things affecting humans over millenia (such as fire (spawning pyrokinesis), or time (giving time-travel)).
Hope I've been clear enough. I know what I'm trying to say, it's tricky figuring out how to say it... :\

yes, we understand, but your agruement about it being unnatural isn't true really, technology is a big part of being human, and you know, he is very smart, and seeing as his parents are both superhiros(opps heros), and he likes computers, technology powers wouldn't be that unnatural to him.

Depending on what kind of technology you're looking at, I'd disagree. Modern technology isn't a part of being human, it's a part of modern society and the result of thousands of minds and ideas working together over years. For example, if you were stuck in a wilderness or on a desert island, we wouldn't try to build a computer or mobile phone for salvation, we'd look to more primitive technology such as fire and woodwork. I would've written Micah to have had a similar ability to Sylar's original one: being able to work out how something is broken and how to fix it, which would fit in with him both being smart and liking computers.

no, i ment using technology and understanding it is part of being human, and even the usage of fire wood could be considard(sp?) a technology, even though it's not a mechanizem(sp?)
and yes, i was think it might not have to do with technology, but with how things work, and fixing them, kinda like a mixed up healing power.

You do realize technology is a HUGE part of evolution. It shows how smart we are developing, think about how we went from the wheel to the computer. Anything that aids us in our lives is considered technology. With that being said I think Michael has a super intelligence that allows him to manipulate magnetic and electrical fields so he can mend circuits and such.

I totally understand that technology is a by-product of our human intelligence, I did infer that we've been using technology for millenia, no matter how relatively primitive (such as uses of fire and wood). However, our modern technology (such as silicon chips, etc) has only been around for about the last century, so it wouldn't be as much a part of humanity's overall development. If however, Micah was instead born in the year 3000, then the power of mending our technology would make more sense. I do like your idea of him manipulating magnetic and electrical fields in conjuction with him being intelligent; that seems like the best explanation behind his abilities.

yeah, maybe when he gets older, he'll be able to move metal and stuff, i hope not though, that'd be a little to x-men.:\

Micah's power seems to be very similar to Sylar's power from before he was Sylar. So just as Sylar's ability to fix clocks extends to the biological, I think Micah's ability to fix things may extend to living things.

Yeah!Miccah is a young magneto of technology :)
But,I also fell a bad vibe about him.I think he will become vilain.

as far as wether his power is natural or not I think it certainly is. keep in mind you break a computer down to it's smallest componets, its atoms and molecules it is natural and made of the same stuff as a human. our brains work by firing charged particales, so i think he iis just firing those charged particals into machines, affect witch circuts and ect are tripped

Kind of like Kitty Pryde but backwards. Her phasing disrupts electrical circuits, including human nervous systems. So, if we assume DL's powers are like Kitty's and effecting machines is a residual effect of those powers, it's not a stretch that is what got passed on to Micah.

think about magneto's powers... by affecting megnetic fields he could affect tech. Think about how a magnet can erase a video cassette. I think that is more along Micah's powers
