I cannot believe that Lana offered Lex an hour of play, and not only does he turn her down, but he sends her 4000 miles away.

Since the show has always made Lana the one who everyone wants, or wants to be, I was shocked.
I wonder what this means. Lex loves work more than Lana. A board meeting is more exciting then making love with Lana. The idea of making love to Lana scared him so badly that he had to send her 4000 miles away, hoping it would work better than a cold shower for her. He was hoping to be able to be alone with Clark while she was away.

So what do you think?

It's all about Lex's manipulations. He has her go so that she will miss him. Deny her, to get her to want him more. Trying to bring her to saying yes to his proposal.

Lex loves power more than Lana, maybe he needed to go show that power to a few emprisoned meteor freaks.

I think Lex knows he can tap that any time he wants. Doesn't mean he doesn't want it, but he knows it'll be waiting for him later. But yeah, turning down a whole hour of sex (and go Lexana if they're still taking that long) just proves that Lex just aint right. I knew he was evil.

I hope Lex dumps her. He was more interesting without her.

Heh. Had a vision of Lex snapping his fingers and Lana running and making out with him, a la The Fonz. :)

I hope Lex kills Lana. It'd be a good way to show Lex becoming evil. It'd also be good for the show not to have Lana anymore.

Yeah it seemed like he wanted her out of the house, I agree...
Maybe some level 33.1 business.

I think you might have a good point there. You always seem to come up with good ideas InLove_with_Chloe.

Kind of what Clark did, but their motives were 180 degrees apart.

And the work he was doing was most certainly Level 33.1 which is a lot more interesting than Lana. Though I would like to get some action with her, but I'd have to shoot myself after hearing her accusations of secrets & lies while in the heat of the moment. :p

yea it was to manipulate her in to givin him an answer sooner, but I also think it was cause of his dealings wit level 33.1.He doesn't want her around to see his evil deeds to havin her across the world allows him time to be as evil as he wants.Plus remember she hasn't seen level 33.1 atleast not the patients and thinks the static guy was lyin,so lex bein at level 33.1 at the end made sense wit sendin her away.Cause wit clana talk at the end then showin lex it shows that he'll manipulate her into trustin him completely while he goes behind her back to gain more power

I think he just had to go to this board meeting.

I mean yeah, he's Lex Luthor, he could have skipped it.
But Lex's work is clearly very important to him and he's very serious about it.

It'd be more interesting if Lex killed Chloe... from a plot standpoint

Lex definitely needed Lana out of town so he could handle 33.1 business. Besides, he could always play "shock the monkey" while he was there.
If distance makes the heart grow fonder, he should have sent her to Australia.

From a female point of view, the idea of a guy who wants to convince me to marry him, turning me down, when I need the intimate time, especially from someone who could blow off work, would not be a plus on the marrying side. I would be wondering that if I really needed him if business would come first then also. We all know if it is between power and Lana which would win.

I will say Lex convincing Lana that money is power, and can do a great deal of good, as opposed to great money that is earned is usually always blood money and someone either lost money or life for it, was a good move on his part. Prime examples of blood money are the railroad tycoons, tobacco company owners, owners of sweatshops in CA with illegal workers, and lexcorp, all earn money by abusing other people. Still there are wonderful companies that work with the community and help people out. Not all big business is bad, but some of the ones that are, give the rest a really bad name.

I think Lex didn't want Lana around while he dealt with the 33.1 situation. Maybe the idea of her having his baby scared him off a little bit? He might not want twins?
