Hey I know what you mean!!! I am guessing budget constraints really. Must have saved it all up for future episodes like Justice and the season finale.
In general so far, I have been disappointed with season 6 after a great season opener. Episode 6 (Fallout) had the potential to be brilliant but ended too quickly!!! They could have done so much with Batista in episode 8 (Static).

They're saving all their money for the Justice League fight sequences I guess.
I was hoping that the constrained budget would force TPTB to concentrate on the script, plot and continuity....And it seems I am hoping in vain *sighs*

I wish that they would show more action in the fights esp. with the Zoners. A couple of good punches between Clark and the Zoners would go a long way with me. In Sub, it would have been nice to see Clark hit him before he came flying out of the ground, but like it has been said, budget contraints and saving money for future episodes probably was the reason. At least seeing him fly out of the ground implied that Clark smacked him good.

There was a fight in this episode? When?
I'm just counting down the day until Justice.
*desperately* There's gotta be fights in that episode. Good ones! Big ones! Superman worthy ones! PLEASE!!!!!!!
*sigh*
Actually I'd be satisfied if Clark just used 3 of his powers at once against an enemy/enemies.
...
Actually can he just throw a superspeed punch? I'll even settle for Raya's superspeed spin kick...
I'm hopeful.

Hiya ginnyfan
Check out this link from youtube:

It's Hydro, Justice and Crimson trailer. You may have already seen it but it looks good. I definitely see some Justice action and Lana talking to Clark sincerely? Could Clana be back?

Thanks!!! OK... I'd seen this before but what's five more times? LOL! :D
I watched it five times and I saw Cyborg in action, Cyborg and Flash using some type of communication device in their ears... Oh how I hope those were the corridors of 33.1...and I saw aquaman super swimming!!!
I'm excited!!! Oh and that final shot of them walking together... VERY COOL! :D :D :D
Hmm... about the Clana... I like that they are hinting toward future exploration of Reckoning and Lexmas. That's really fun and interesting. But I just don't see Clana being anything more than friendship at this point.
There's a lot of speculation about what future episodes each of the clips are from. Lana looks gorgeous and rosy in her yellow shirt. But I gotta say that I'm more excited about Lois and Clark chatting about Oliver than future Clana.
Well, just when I thought we'd seen the last of the Clana loft scene... The Clanas will enjoy. :D

This has for sure been a season of crappy fights although it seems that Justice will be a revitalizing experience.... hopefully...

Hey again ginnyfan
I just wondered if you read the spoilers for the episode Crimson? I have and it seems very interesting. I may be reading too much into it but it seems like a scene from the movies may be happening hehe...

Where did this idea that Smallville is about the fight scenes come from? Smallville is character, not action, driven.

Buffy and Angel both not only better shows than Smallville but had the best fight scenes!

well the Zod fight wasn't bad tho clark never got any licks in,it was still the best fight so far this season. The static fight wit batista/clark was the most disappointin cause I knew the potential of it but nothin happen smh
I didn't expect the fight to be much, considering McNally only had the ability to burrow. So it wasn't terribly surprising to see him knocked out from one punch by Clark(at least I think it was a punch).

I wasn't at all impressed with the Clark-Zod fight. It was completely 1-sided. And I didn't buy how a Kryptonian who never had the experience of being under a yellow sun was so well adjusted to having his abilities.

Then I guess you must have a problem with Superman II, since Zod, Ursa, and Non figured out their powers rather fast.

I did like how they actually had to learn how to use them in that movie. This never happened in SV. It could have made Zod look a little goofy, which I didn't think they wanted to do.
But even with their powers in Superman II, it was seen that any one of them alone against Superman couldn't get close to beating him.
I still think the movie could have done better, but they didn't have time that SV has to make Zod learn how to use his powers in a 2 hour or less movie.

I thought it was Zod and his two disciples Aethyr and Namek unless that was their Smallville names?

Hey antizod87, chill out dude lol.
Have you seen the trailer for Hydro/Justice/Crimson? It looks good and in the past the writers did seem to let us down but they did do well in the end.
I agree what your saying about the episode Static, I wasn't happy with it at all but just have some faith. Thats all I've got hehehe

In Superman II, Zod's cohorts' names were Ursa & Non.

Ok thanks xrayvision for clearing that up. I should watch Superman 2 again, as I've got the R. Donner cut, which has about 20mins extra footage.
