What would you like to see on a new site?
How about the forums?
Talk about it here!

Why not just call it LOEBsite?
Best of luck, Craig!
(you DO have some pretty good taste in TV shows, if I say so myself...)

Though I'm used to Kryptonsite's layout, I'd like to see it kept just for Kryptonsite (and to be honest, I'm not too thrilled about the name "HeroSite". "Kryptonsite" makes sense because of the obvious play on the word "Kryptonite", but HeroSite... meh). The layout you've done with 9thWonders.com is good, it just needs a little tweaking. When I think of what kind of tweaks, I'll post again. :)

for the new site maybe use the same type of comic book layout like 9thwonders.com but have maybe some flash animation on it. like for top news for the show or new episodes. and have a menu bar like kryptonsite does on top but have drop down menus when you hover over so you can go directly to an episode or season or individaul character pages.

I didn't have anything to do with the layout of 9thWonders, and I wouldn't want to create something that looks much like it, because I don't want to confuse people.
A more navigable episode guide and character pages are definitely happening, though. :)

Heroe's wise? OK here are my suggestions. Before I talked about having the site feel more like Ksite and have a bigger feel to the layout. The idea is still what I would push towards but then you got to think of Heroes itself. Think of how it is told. Numerous different story arch’s that are all going at once but are loosely connected and get closer to each other as time goes along. This is the "Masterpiece" style of writing that was so intriguing about Stephan King's The Stand. A bunch of different ppl and stories going at once, but you can see a subtle connection between all and you know eventually they all will intersect and gather at a focal point for a supposed epic climax.
The layout for the Herosite.net has to mirror that aspect of the show as closely as possible. Off the top of my head get as much text and visual imagery as you can find and make it spread out! Only one specific subject per page, have NOTHING else but that specific subject on the page except for age or something redirecting to a related subject forwarding to another page. For example some ppl have every character bio on one page. For Hero site i would suggest against it. Even if the profile is small, let it have a page of it's own and fill it up with either related links or ads by Google.
Second, if possible make each section somehow be loosely related to each other to mirror the loose connection feeling of the show.
Thirdly that main page (presumably news/updates) should be a large page with little bits of almost everything from the sections of the site to be an overture for the site. It has to be large to give off the feeling that there is always more to do and see. Maybe even give that page a special name. Since the Heroes will probably all come together and unite under Suresh you could call that main page something along the lines of "Suresh HQ", etc.
Fourth, Make it a theme site. The obvious theme is Heroes, however the obvious theme for Disneyland is Disney but they still go the extra mile to keep you immersed in the illusion while you are there.
These are just a few suggestions. I'm interested to see what you finally go with when you start building the site.

i was thinking for the character page maybe make it look like mohinders computer. have it look like a computer screen and have a list of all the heroes names we have met so far. then when you click a name maybe have it take you to a page for that character that looks like a folder. and have the persons picture at the upper left corner and to the right and below have information about that character like their name, age, where they are from, and there ability and then have a brief summary of the character underneath. also if the character dies in the show write over the photo dead or defeated.

The only suggestion I have, off the top of my head, is to go lite in terms of flash and java. There isn't a lot of it on KryptonSite (if any) but websites today (I'm looking at you, NBC.com) rely far too much on the stuff, and we of the dial-up creed are forgotten by the wayside.

I totally feel you there, TARDIS Team... I'm visiting my mom this weekend, with only dial-up (sloooow) internet and half of any website I can't even go to.
HeroSite.net will be more like KryptonSite when it comes to the flash/java stuff. :)

BTW it would be awesome if we can use a signature in the forum. At least just one please???( i know that a lot can be annoying) thanks ! :D

Haha, unfortunately not. The forum will be this same forum... and signatures caused major issues the last time when people broke the rules years ago.
So if you're upset, blame them. :(

To summorize (from what I read) Some of the signature/picture files were fairly large in size, not in how wide or long, but in file size, it took dialup members forever for the pages to open, so the signatures were removed from Kryptonsite. Some members were upset and fireworks went off across the boards and it got messy.
So, IMO it is best to leave out the sigs and keep the blood pressure down all around.

And, more exactly, the people who had super-large sigs (conveniently also the ones who "fireworks went off with") were the ones who refused to make them smaller when we sent warnings. So, they wanted them so badly, yet they're the reason they were gotten rid of in the first place.

I think Brenda should do recaps. ("Yes! She should! She's brilliant!") ("You should also buy her shiny things!") ("Shiny things! Brilliant!") ("Also BOW DOWN AND ADMIT YOUR INFERIORITY, MEATBAG.") ("Zod! Brilliant!")
