So, after all, Lex wasn't killing people, but he WAS helping the farmer to keep them imprisoned, wasn't he? Why was he doing that? What exactly was his deal with the farmer? Was it if he bought the farm, he'd be allowed to experiment on him? Or was it more like he bought the farm so that he could get on the farmer's good side and be able to set up hidden spy cameras to watch his special abilities?

No, he sharply questioned that guy with the thick glasses, about why he wasn't informed. All he seemed to be there for imo was, as you suggest, to observe without having to move the guy into a cell. But, now, he's gotta bring him 'home'...

Rose etta,
Oh, I see. So he was just observing the guy, and could care less about the immigrants. He had nothing to do with the immigrants, but didn't care about saving them from imprisonement either. All he cared about was watching and observing the farmer. He hired that guy with the glasses to spend his time doing that, and the guy with the glasses failed to mention the immigrants were being killed, correct?
