yea the epi was good for her and clark imo,he really stoodup when he talked wit his mom.And even seem more in control when he almost fuss at chloe for losin the boy.so yea this epi was good for chlark and even lex.That last scene was jus great :D

Well you'll notice they made a point of highlighting the Daily Planet and Chloe's career in this episode. 1) New DP shot. 2) The discussion about Chloe staying in Smallville for now because it has gotten her so many stories and this wonderul job. 3) Byline.

Yay! Her 3rd byline! I bet pretty soon she'll be movin on up at the DP to a new level. Here's to a promotion in Chloe's very near future!! :D

True plus I thought it was funny jimmy wants her to get her own place and be away from sv cause of the serial killers(yea right ;) )But ur right tho they did highlight a few things for chloe this epi,that's why I think its a good setup for level 33.1 and her involvement

Fantastic news! I love stories that show Chloe moving up in the Daily Planet, not only b/c she's worked so hard, but b/c she's so obviously passionate and talented. If there were more scenes like this, I'd actually watch the show live. I'll def. watch my tape, though.

The sprint bios that recently came out also suggested that she would be making some sort of upward movement sometime this season, so this seems like a great setup for that.

It was a nice surprise to see Chloe get another byline. She thanked Clark for his part, which was sweet. I can't wait to see our intrepid reporter move her way up!

to be frank, I thought they'd kill her off close to about now. but maybe that's being set up by lulling us to sleep with her character. of course she deserves better and more to do.

at this point, the collective brainpan of the writers could only wish to use her as a another lightning rod for clark kent's decision to become superman.

watching poor AM go through the motions waiting for this show to end, still putting on that happy face, is sweet and all, but....

it's time to kill off some characters on this show.

I symphathize with chloe fans, but if you want her to count for anything, you'd see this is the best way to go. you guys kept her alive this long, hats off, but right now, believe me, you want her to go, for her character's dignity's sake.

Best way to go? No, the best way to go is to keep her alive and give her a destiny of her own. She deserves it.

They're working on introducing her into the comics, so I doubt Smallville is going to kill Chloe off. That is lazy writing.

There would be no dignity in killing off a character that stands for true reporting and true integrity, just so a lesser reporter with less integrity can step in and take her place.

I think there's room for Chloe and for Lois.

So no, I personally do not want Chloe to go. I think the show would lose even more of it's magic without her. She's the only interesting leading lady on Smallville. Although, Lana has become more interesting now that she's with Lex.

Taking Chloe out of Smallville would be like taking Luke out of Gilmore Girls.

I agree, Chloe holds her own. It would be a bad move to kill her off. In this episode alone Chloe has proven her worth to TPTB. Chloe is the one consistent character on the show(besides Clark) and deserves to have a great finish IMO.

Chloe shows us how it's supposed to be done and Nois shows us how it shouldn't be. The two polar opposites are important here. Chloe has dignity aplenty. There is no reason at all to kill her off and every reason to keep her alive and well. This article proves Chloe is indeed still actually doing what she should and should silence the complaints that she never does anything or actually writes an article anymore.

And I really like how they point out that the Daily Planet is one of the best papers in the world, which really makes you appreciate how hard it is to get into and how much work and dedication Chloe has put into it over the years.

I second the three Hard News stories. It's deliberate foiling of the two girls off of one another; Chloe continues to shine.

Exactly. Which makes the split between the good guys (Clark, Chloe) and the bad guys (Lex, Lana) stick out even more; There is definately a core four element for those characters to the writing of the show that the show has dependant on since the Pilot, and it's highly unlikely they will destroy that.

Especially as they made sure to bump Chloe up with this article and 33.1... Chloe's arc for the year seems to be kicking off and it's very exciting.

I agree with you 100%... to me she's one of the big three, i'd really like to see her grow up as a reporter at the DP and have something of her own!!!:)

I agree with that. And it got me to thinking that maybe she would be a DP reporter stationed in Smallville or something. Like it had on the SR website where there's the article by Chloe from Smallville.
