I guess they are just trying to keep building up the tension between the two.. It would be better if Clark for once would confront Lex somewhere else than the mansion, if Lex ever leaves the mansion. I really hate that the writers always have Clark saying what would Lana say if she knew. The writers have her character written dumb and blind to Lex, or she is blinded by the money and potential power she is going to have, so she will not ruin it.

The only thing that I don't like with Lex is that they are making it more about him keeping things from Lana which doesn't show of his evilness in a way that I prefer.
