Buffy is superstrong and has heightened senses. She can beat up demons and other creatures from different dimentions. I think that's on par with a superpowered human woman.

IMO, her and Peter have emotional problems to deal with which may hinder the team (well they are not really a team yet though), Jessica more than Peter though.

Jessica can't fight? Wow, what was all that stuff in Run? She seems to have some quite elite combat training, or that stuff just comes naturally to her. Either way, it would be quite the fair fight, IMO, so long as it was just Buffy and not any of Buffy's friends.

Or the God of Judaism, or any Muslim referring to Allah as God. It's not about Christianity, it's about wether or not the person speaking is calling their god by the name "God" or if they're just talking about gods in general.

Oh and for the record I am aware that they are all the same God, at least from a theological standpoint, so before someone calls me out on that, thought I'd mention I know. But of course there are plenty in each of those communities that disagree there God is the same one, so it's a crapshoot depending on who you talk to wether or not they think that.

Buffy, would win right now. She is more experienced with her powers and Jessica/Nikki have to much internal conflict. With time it could be reversed.

Buffy would win, no doubt about it. I love heroes but I also love watching Buffy (I grew up with it) and I have to say the bad guys on Buffy are bigger and badder. Heroes is more about the grey area, which is a good thing and the ensemble cast makes it more interesting. Having said that, Buffy is the lead of the show and Jessica is a semi regular on heroes (what with Nikki being there half the time) I guess it comes down to who you'd want to see win which is why these polls never work ;)

Well, buffy depends on stakes in the heart to destroy her enemy. I dont think she would get close enough to Jessica to find out if that would work.

I have not seen buffy, but from the information in this thread she has defeated many opponents stronger than Jessica. Yet they also seem to have a weekness- am I correct in saying that it is her ingenuity and exploitation of these weaknesses that allows to win? If so, what weakness does Jessica have that she could exploit?

Weel, I assume if Buffy had enough time she would realize that Nikki is her weakness. But I don't hink it's even a real fight, as Buffy has fought tons of people stronger and more powerful than Jessica, and no matter how strong Jess is, she can't fight. At least, not on the level Buffy can. I've never seen the show, but I read Buffy's wikipedia page, and she definitely takes this.

So, does Buffy have any paranormal abilities? If so, I give the fight to her. If not, Jessica does have some mad fighting skillz, as she has on multiple occasions taken on multiple enemies at once, and literary ripped them apart.

Maybe Buffy could still take her- I suppose it realy depends on how skillfull and how strong Jessica actually is, and we dont realy know that information.

Well, Jessica was taken down by a man who had no fighting abilities whatsoever, but could phase, but she also took out multiple rooms full of armed gunmen who presumably shot at her before they were ripped in half. I think she will be revealed to have some sort of higher physical stamina, speed, and invulnerability, but going from what we know about her now I don't think she would have a chance of winning this. Buffy possesses superhuman strength, speed, agility, reflexes, and accelerated healing, and some sort of "protection." But I think her biggest advantage over Jessica is her vast experiance in fighting more powerful beings than Jessica. That is what would help her win most, though everything else would help too.

Worth checking out! It was a great show, and they did eventually work in there gay person. :lol: They did however make the mistake of making an entire Musical episode.

Hmm. You've only seen some Buffy episodes and therefore I feel you haven't experienced Buffy like a true BtVS fan and can not vouch for the skills and abilities she has.

Jessica may be strong, but Buffy is a skilled and smart fighter. In Helpless(3.12), Buffy proves that wit far out weighs strength when she defeats Kralik without any super human abilities at all. While Krailik was being pumped full of steroids. She did quick thinking under a very pressured situation.

But if you are discussing strength only. Then yes, of course Jessica and Buffy are probably both equally strong, for they both are claimed to have superhuman strength. But as Faith once seemed to be stronger than Buffy, I believe the influence of the "dark side" can make it appear that one is stronger than they actually are. For they are usually truly weak inside. IMHO.

Buffy has taken on all sorts of foes with super strength, super strength is not a problem for her. Like I joked above, Buffy has supernatural forces on her side, making her the clear favorite. That girl battled demons and monsters from Hell, I don't think Jessica would be a problem.

Hell Buffy could probably even whoop Superman's butt...:lol: (As once again, these other characters come from a "natural" ruled universe. Buffy's got the "cheating" forces of the supernatural/God/"higher powers" on her side. False. Clark is vulnerable to the magics, as our own dear Witch Lana demonstrated. And if there is anything that Ms. Slayer has access a plenty to, it is the magics.

^LOL on the pun and "in my professional opinion", haha:lol:. Xander was my favorite BTVS character too, in fact my username was born out of that fact. Back when I joined KSite I was watching the series for the first time on dvd and loved the Xander character. I decided to make it into a "superhero-ish" name by adding man to the end (since this is a Smallville forum and all). Xander+Superman=Xanderman lol

Me, I don't think a vamp could break Clark's skin, not without kryptonite around. So I don't think someone like Angel for example could defeat Clark without a little green intervention--Clark would make short work of him. But Buffy, being endowed with powers from "divine" sources and such, being protected by a magical "destiny", could probably kill Clark without the green advantage.

There was a Superman issue with Dracula in it. Dracula bit Clark, pierced the skin, and 'sploded from the "sun radiation".

ps: It should be like that for all mythical vamps (Buffy), but not for scientific vamps (Blade).

^interesting, and makes sense as based on the premise that "supernatural" things like magic can harm Clark. But still, to me there has to be some distinction made between what happens when mere humans get bit and when Clark gets bit. For this reason I don't think the average vamp (ie. your run-of-the-mill/non-special vamp) should be able to pierce Clark's skin unless some extra magical intervention comes into play to weaken him first or if he's weakened by kryptonite.

Yes but indirectly, Clark was already weakened by kryptonite when Lana showed up, knocked Lex out and then bit CK. What's dumb is that consuming Clark's blood in this scenario instantly gave Lana powers, but if he was "weakened" enough so that she could "defeat" his defenses, how could she have drawn any strength/powers from him? Shouldn't his blood be affected by whatever kryptonite does as well? Kryptonite-affected blood (from Clark) should be damaged or different or "weakened" as well, Vamp-Lana shouldn't have been able to derive powers from it in my view. Just dumb. lol (this episode had dumb piled on top of dumb, heh)

I think traditionally Clarke's blood always gives his powers to whoever gets it.

In this instance, if Lana wasn't around the Green K, once it left affected-Clarke's body it was able to restore itself.

Buffy has super strength, a fight/sex between her and Spike collasped a building. She's cunning and a brilliant tactician due to the training she's had since she was 16. She fights demons on a nightly basis instead of uh....casino gaurds? She continuously saves the world from various apocolypses fighting beings all stronger than herself, and better and more powerfull than Jessica in every way...and has killed them all. To say Jessica could beat such a seasoned fighter is really ridiculous

In the first season, Buffy was still a teen who hadn't reached her full potential. Watch the rest of the Buffy seasons because she gets stronger. Combined with her combat skills, she'd definitely take Jessica.
