What was clarks ship doing flying around and into the tornado. i have wondered about it for a while so if anyone can tell me that`ll be cool

this is just my suspision: It was the first time the key had been placed back into the ship since it landed on earth. I'm guessing the first thing it was supposed to do when "awakened" is find clark, just incase who ever found clark didn't take the ship with them.

the ship talks to clark, well jor-el talks to clark via the ship so its understandable the ship will find clark so it can talk lol
