When you have an episode where he is not connected in any way to the A plot, and the A plot is absolute trailer trash like lexana, that is a disgrace.

TPTB really screwed this one badly, almost no Clark, and Myankskent is right, no connection to the A plot (which sucked!).

It looked like they were trying to point out that Clark could've cared less about his former bext friend and ex-girlfriend, but in hindsight it made him look a little bit like a jerk.

^I don't agree with that. Clark chose to save lives, where as Lex was missing, not near death.

The same thing happened to Blade in Blade The Series. And that show got cancelled because they didn't show him that much and always made him look like a whimp.

Smallville is doing the same thing with Clark. This show is not looking good. I even skipped last week's episode hoping this one would change my view on it. Sadly, it didn't. Things are worst than ever.

Yep. I agree. Not a wise move to exclude the main character from the show. And that's how it feels of late. Will be the doom of SV. If it hasn't already. Without ample Clark, I am just not interested in Smallville.

Agreed. It almost seemed like Clark's only purpose in this episode was to be saved by the Martian Manhunter. Instead, we get a lot of scenes with Jimmy Olson (boy, it's gonna be one big awkward reunion at the Daily Planet, isn't it?) and Lexana.

I have been noticing that for weeks. I mean, it's great to explore the other characters, but this is getting ridiculous. Clark who?

Gee. Exploring other characters when they haven't even touched the surface of the main character. Yeah, I understand that.

I mean they are throwing us scraps.
Like the "accept destiny speech after raya died"
Like the thanksgiving speech
Like the MM moment when MM showed his eyes and flew away.

These are not full scenes these are small clips of film they are showing us. The majority of the show is other characters.
The main reason I watch smallville is the story of superman and how he became superman. Not for the other bit characters no matter how popular they are.
Ratings are not as strong this year as other years and the WB does not have UPN to compete with.
I hope TPTB look back at their highest rated shows.
I guarantee the highest rated Smallville episodes are Clark centric.

For an one hour show, it feels pretty lightweight. So, why exactly did he need to travel to Seattle? And why did Chloe act so dumb saying he needed to save Lex? Comon, that was really stupid.

Keep in mind that when Clark escaped the Phantom Zone, several rifts in space were opened, causing different alien beings to be released in different parts of the world.

I have to say, this episode was a bad one, again another superhero,...
Throw in the whole justice league "thing" when chlark has decided to become superman, this episode should have focused on chlark and the PZ and myhtologie and again the FOS, when are we going to hair Jor'El again, Martha Kent was compeltely left out, no LOis...pffffff

the most important facters about smallville completely left out. If you want to throw in a filler, at least make Chlark or LEX luthor central because that is what it's all about, the eternal battle between those 2.

No Clark? What? Would you rather watch 20 minutes of him running across the United States? I'd definately rather watch some mushey Lexana scenes than watch Clark running through the rockies. =\

Way to little Clark thus far it seems, especially this episode. Take care.

Peace To All.
