After tonights episode I truly feel that this season will be Smallville's last. I know that this has already been talked about and I'm sure some of you don't want to hear from another disgruntled fan but I can't keep it in any longer.

Static was crap, prue and simple and after seeing it and Clark's total of five minutes of screen time I believe that Smallville will end after this season. What else is there to do? Once he completes his training he will be Superman and his days in Smallville are over.

Don't get me wrong I love Smallville but I don't have to agree every decision TPTB make, when I see how they are ruining my favorite show I am entitled to get a little pissed. After seeing Static I don't see how the writers could stretch crap like that into a seventh season, they need to do the right thing and end the series after this year and end it with a bang! DON"T JUST LET IT FIZZLE OUT!

Am I alone here?

I couldn't agree more. They have left their first love. Clark is being marginalized and Lex and Lana are the focus along with spine eating creatures and Martians with light bulb eyes that eat Oreos. It has become a joke and it's time to shut it down or fire the entire writing staff and rebuild it.

lets face it the fact that they are making up dumb episodes like this one shows that they can drag this on for however long they want
for all we know the training could take a year or so

This show should end, but it won't. The CW has nothing but crap on and Smallville is still bringing in good ratings. I think that we are going to see another very watered down second half of season 6.

No, you are definitely not alone. But think of it this way, when Smallville is gone, another series may begin. I sense the beginning of the JLA

they'll have a 7th season, but i can tell you if the evil Lexana union continues to progress and she keeps acting like a total ***** to Clark everytime she sees him without him telling her off, it'll be interesting to see who keeps watching.

it's early in the season so you gotta give them time, and i can see even though this storyline kicks some people in the gut it does have potential, but all i can say is Clarkie Boy better start kicking some Lexana ass before february..LOL

It would be worth it if the second half of the season was a jaw-dropping blow-out. They may be just trying to get a lot of crap out of the way to make room for hand- over - fist Super Action.

Yeah? Can I get an Amen?

Static wasn't exactly crap but other then showing off Jimmy & Chloe's skills it didn't do much to move the plot.

Okay Lionel wants invovled in Lex's bussiness of 33.1 big shock.

I'd have like to see Lex really open up to Lana and show her his shrine to Clark then have him talk to her about his honesty. To save this episode Clark should have flown after MM and I do mean FLOWn not a superspeed walk from Seatle.

I have already created a new religion thats basis is that all great TV shows and movie series MUST have a proper ending. Shows that end up milking out the plot the (way Smallville is starting to do) are the reason I came up with my new belief system.

Clark has spent 6 years stating he doesn't want to hide his abilities yet almost every week he finds a new reason on why having to hide his abilities is necessary! He's also spent 6 years being afraid of heights...yes even after being concious while flying as Kal-El and yes even after plummeting to earth after destroying a missle in space!! 6 years!! 6 years?! pssh ok, after all that?! NOT believable

I mean look at Lana's character: in the span of 6 years, 3 boyfriends are killed, and the man she swears she would never have feelings for ends up being (sadly) the guy she claims has been the most honest with her! 6 years!! If thats not milking the "tragedy card" then I don't know what is!

Really just put the suit and cape on Chloe. Cause as the years have gone by she's the 1 that has advanced her character more than any1 (except maybe Lex) and the shows aren't even about CK and the myths anymore.

Wow! I'm so surprised to hear you guys didn't like Static. I thought it was easily one of the best this season. there was such great writing for Static, the continuity was there with 33.1, an awesome introduction of the Martian Manhunter, and engaging storylines throughout. How could this not please? This is probably the first time that I'm totally against the general consensus of Kryptonsite fans- why is that?

^ its not the fact that it was a bad episode because it was good but its the fact that the show is more like a soap opra. i mean seriously Clark hasnt been the main focus all season thurs far. I see more lana than i ever wanted to. it turns me away. i wouldnt be surprised if this was the last season to be honest. its going down hill.

I think they had to do this with Lexana mainly because they haven't showed exactly the romatic side of this relationship. Now, that they've done that, I think they will take the storyline further so it can end up tragically. I predict Lana or baby or Lana and baby will die. This will be the last straw for Lex. He will completely mad. There has to be something big that will make Lex go fully dark, and since this version of Lex is most of the times driven by his emotions, what better way than to kill the woman he loves and his child.

Just my two cents.

Hey hassenmorad,

Glad someone liked that turd. But can you honestly tell me that you could stomach how Clark was in the episode for like 5 minutes and the main focus was on the Goughlar Girl, Lana?

I second that ... just put the tights on Chloe and let her save the world. Oh let's not forget her sidekick Jimmy and his amazing ham radio!

I agree wit the cw bein new and not reachin all the areas that the wb/upn reached,sv is stil its 2nd highest ranked shows.Plus the network would keep around an establish show til the contract ends, may even try to keep it longer. But I doubt this will be the last season,it'll go 7 if nothin else.I think tptb r jus settin up scenes like in fallout to make ppl wonder, guess they think they can bring sum fans back if they thought this was the last season.Who knows

I think the wb channel will want to bring the show back for at least another year.
and if the network wants another season more than likely it will be back.

You mean the CW. And yes, Smallville will return for a 7th season without a doubt. They're the second highest rated show on the CW. I just hope that the 7th season is the last. I hope they don't really water down this season in hopes to try to squeeze an 8th season out of this show.

Smallville should have alot of legs left even if the show continues to drag on since its on a station that has no viewership. The Clark/Lana story has gone on too long and has to come to an end, hopefully this season. After that I think the show takes a much different turn. Like someone said we could see Smallville turn into a JLA type show. I think in some way the show will last for a long time.

Yea, I can totally see this. The only problem is that there is no love story in the JLA so they couldn't make a 2 bit crappy teen soap opera out of it. So they probably wouldn't do it.

I think the general consensus is that because TPTB are diverging too far from the main point of SV it's just becoming crap. And although somewhere deep down I sort of agree, I'm hoping and praying that TPTB are just doing this so that from January/February it'll be Clark-oriented, starting with "Justice" and showing his eventual return to the Fortress for his complete training. I just hope that when they end it, at least show us TW in the costume. Just once. That's all I ask. Then I can die happy.

I don't want to watch "The Luthors"..I want Clark Kent turning into Superman! Thats what I started watching this show for and now the freakin hero is in the background and the villian has the spotlight.

I already said this in a different forum, but I REALLY DON'T care why Lex turns evil, just that he does. The writers need to stop making excuses to make Lex look like a victim because..guess what..HE'S NOT! Everything that comes at him is own fault. All of the people that have tried to kill him have been wronged by him in the past.

Justice better not just be a little reunion between the heroes. I wanna see some freakin actual JUSTICE in the episode and preferably against Lex. Clark better stop bouncing one of his balls against the wall in the loft, stop moping, and DO something to actually be a threat against Lex.

I have to give props to Clark for not allowing his anger get the best of him though. If I was Clark..I would have killed that bald bastard a long time ago.

If this show doesn't start actually being Superman's journey then I guarantee it won't make it to a seventh season.

I couldn't agree more. I am really having a hard time watching the show this year. There is way too much Lexana and not enough Clark/Superman content.

I want Lana Lang

I'm just being patient. Yeah, Clark has been virtually invisible this season, and yeah, that hurts the show tremendously. The focus of the show has been on The Green Arrow(this ep an exception). Im thinking after Justice, and after Ollie leaves, it'll get to the good stuff.

Whats worrying me though is look at Smallville's track record with the latter part of a season. It usually dulls down after episodes 11 or 12...then ends with a kickass finale. Its true.

But yeah, as fun as other heroes are, and I am a huge JLA fan.... theres a time and place for that, and its not on Smallville.
