what am I missing here besides a brain? :D
Help me out I'm slow what's with the oreo cookie at the docks and in the barn?
Yes I saw the flash of light and the bright eyes that helped Clark, what is it?
Are there any more new episodes for 2006 or do we wait till 2007?

Martian Manhunter likes oreos.

the bright eyes belong to the martian manhunter, who in DC comics, has a deep love of OREOS. yep there ya go :D
Smallville is fun

I'd just like to say that Clark examining the Oreo was the Dumbest Moment Ever on Smallville. And I loved it. =D (And yes, I know the Martian Manhunter likes Oreos.)

Thank you,
I'm not familiar with all super heros
So I take it he's a good guy then? Yes no? Clark didn't seem to know

I had no idea who the martian was before reading this forum, but now that I know - the Oreo idea's adorable. Sounds like a strange, but good new character.

He is a good guy...and was part of the Justice Leauge in the Comics ;)

Are the writers trying to see what they can spin off from this season maybe?
I'd watch green arrow

Not sure if I could watch a Green Arrow show. They'd really have to do something amazing with him and keep coming up with new and innovative ways for his to use his gear.
And they'd need Boxing Glove arrows...
Now a Green Lantern show could be really cool with all the things a Power Ring can do. Of course, I'm a bit biased because GL is my favorite DC Hero.

Ok so this is totally out of the question and very outlandish, but in a make-believe world where Al & Miles have all the money they want, a Justice League show would be...AWESOME. No doubt.

Does Martian Manhunter love Oreos in the comics? Or was this idea created by Al & Miles?

Not only did he love Oreos, but he was obsessed with them. He eventually stopped eating them.

I dont know this martian guy. Ok so you say he likes oreo's, but why does clark keep finding oreo's on the ground? Does this powerful being have a problem holding onto his food?
Why does he keep dropping the cookies. And since clark found an oreo right after chloe left, did that mean the chloe was the martion thing?

Like I said in another thread, MM must have a hole in his pocket.

lmao! that was the dumbest moment in Smallville history!
Anyways, so MM did eat oreos in the comics, cuz I cant imagine an orea cookie in a comic book for some reason, plus dc would have to pay advertising rights and such to put oreos in the comic.

Yep, I think so. If you look him up, you will find Martian Manhunter can shapeshift. I believe he paid Clark a visit in the loft.

Clark looked like he was going to submit the Oreo cookie to someone for investigation.
Clark: Interesting specimen. 2 outer shells with a white creamy center. Doesn't look like pie.

Martian Manhunter, or better known as J'onn J'onzz had an obsession with oreos, or chocos in the comics.
For all we know J'onn could be leaving breadcrumbs for Clark to figure his path.
But the reason why there is oreos on the ground was simply and logically to play homage to the Martian Manhunter and his addicton. It was just a comical sign to the DC comic fanatics who know about J'onn and his addiction to Chocos. For diehard DC Comics fan, the oreo is significantly associated with J'onn's character. The oreos give us a talltell sign that this is in fact the Martian Manhunter. It is just playing homage is all. Also, you're on the right path...it would only make sense that Chloe was the Martian Manhunter (he has the ability to shape shift) lecturing Clark about his superhero agenda just like every other superhero on the show does to CK.

Wow, this gives me some new insight. I knew his name and what he looked like because I've seen bits and pieces of the "Justice League" cartoon, but I had no idea the Martian Manhunter could shape shift...that's really cool!

wow this is interesting. So maybe MM shift shaped into Chloe to see what his guy named Clark was all about therefore left his calling card...oreo
Very interesting. Very good 6th season. I'm loving it.

Oreos!!!
Those were great moments in the episode.
Hoping MM will soon truly show himself to Clark.
Now all that leaves is Hawkman, Birdgirl, Green Lantern, Batman and Wonderwoman.

That's the thought. That Chloe was MM. It's at least a consideration. Definitly the first thing that crossed my mind.

So this Martian Manhunter guy travels across the universe to come to Earth to kill bad guys and eat Oreos?
Dumbest thing I ever heard, but I am getting a good laugh out of it.

They probably wouldn't have to pay as the makers of Oreo would want as many people as possible to be aware of thier product. DC would be doing Oreo a favor.

Actually, DC changed MM's obsession from the real life Oreo, to the "Choco" cookies, because they thought they might get sued for illegally using the brand name Oreo.
MM is the lone survivor of the Martian race. I actually had a real problem with him killing that guy, especially because J'onn is a telepath, and right along with Clark is a boyscout. In fact, sometimes even more so, because J'onn can read people's minds, and it freaks him out, and causes him actual pain at the traumatic ending of a life. He doesn't kill, and I'm surprised he did on SMallville.

Maybe he turned invisible and spied on Clark in his loft. That's one of his abilities, right?
The Chloe thing could be it, but she just acted too much like herself, so it's hard to believe it's another -uh- person.

Well, MM isn't that nice anymore in the comics, especially after he discovered he is not the last Martian alive (and that the government as many of his race locked up).

I watched it a few more times and definitely see the possibility there. Listen to Chloe's words,
hey it's me, your best friend, your secret keeper...Chloe wouldn't have to say that to Clark but someone who's read her mind just might.
And best of all the line, sometimes even superheros need saving,
how could Chloe save a superhero? Yes it's MM

^^Just wondering why would he disguise as Chloe of all people? He should've disguised as Shelby.. I miss Shelby..

Because Chloe is the one that is close to Clark and knows his secret. Who else would he trust to talk about such things like where he went and the strange thing he saw there called MM.
Think about it
In case you haven't noticed shelby can't talk, not yet :p

I don't think MM was Chloe. I think he was maybe spying on them and left the cookie as a calling card. Or maybe he was there earlier. He wouldn't know about the stuff Chloe was talking about (like Zoners) for it to be him. I know he can read minds, but he would have no idea from the 1 time he met Clark in Seattle that Chloe is his friend, so he wouldn't be able to track her down since he didn't know of her existence. I'm not sure he can read Clark's mind, since Ryan wasn't able to, though he is a Martian, so that might make a difference. But even if he did, Clark would have to have been thinking about Chloe and how she works at the DP for MM to get all that info.

He wasn't in the PZ. I dunno where he popped out from. Maybe he's been living in Seattle, since Clark has never gone there before.
We may find out very soon.
