He absolutely was suspended in air for a microsecond, definately looked like he had the ability to defy gravity.

I am not sure why everyone is saying that the effects are different from other seasons. I think that this season has been great as far as effects, except for the first scene of ZOD flying in the season premiere.

I mean when he took Lana off of the top of the Luthorcorp building.

yea the jump got me hype I was thinkin that was the beginnin of their fight, but sadly it was the end.I was so disappointed tptb didn't have more of clark/batista that could have been great if it was the lead plot.

The lack of a budget that I keep hearing makes me wonder if the "big" upcoming episode that I keep hearing about, and you know the name but I will not mention it here since it is a spoiler, will be worth watching. I can see them giving us about a minute of action in that episode as well.

Im not as positive as you, myanksent, I dont think so, the Chloe Lana fight was better than any fight Clark has had, includinding the effect filled Zod "fight. You dont need big budget to have Clark throwing a punch, there ar enemies strong enought to have a fist fight with Clark and not being sent 100 across the air. I dont think its budget related.

Well, I only say that because I keep hearing DeKnight say on his blog that they don't have the budget to do these big fights. IMO, if it's budget related and you can't give us some decent Kryptonian fights, then this show should not be on the air anymore. Or, don't waste the budget showing us some stupid cgi vines that we saw in Wither.

Exactly and like I saind, not every superpower punch ends up with the oponent flying across the sky and into a building, it can actually look like a regular fight, maybe some cool sound effects (quite cheap) of thunder like sounds every punch, and maybe a few windows shatering around, and yeah, one or two punches in the fight end up with someone going through a wall or something, but nothing out of the ordinary.
But like you said, if they cant have a cool fight, dont do the show, I mean I going to make a Superman movie, but I really dont have the budget for him to fly, to break through stuff, no fights (no budget for stunt coordinator)...hmmm, maybe I shouldnt do this movie...

 I agree, cause when batista thru clark I jus knew when he jumped down we'd get sumthin of a fight.Even if clark didn't throw a punch I thought batista would, but instead we got 2 scenes wit them together and the 2nd he jus picked clark up before bein killed.Tptb r gonna have to do sumthin more, cause there have been less action wit clark and more wit lex this season imo smh

And here's something that nobody has mentioned yet. TPTB actually made Batista look like a wimp. The guy throws Clark 100 feet in the air and then he runs off and hides when Clark superjumps back to him? Bow Wow went after Clark with authority and this guy runs away! Wouldn't he want to kill Clark right there? Honestly, the whole Batista storyline now that I think about it was one big joke.

I think when Clark moves fast, he unconsiously uses the kind of propelling force he needs to fly. Otherwise it would not be possible to accelarate and deccelarate as quickly as he does, let alone fall faster then gravity would allow, like he does in this episode.
Then again, maybe I'm looking too closely.

It was and I was so pissed,I complained afterwards for a good hr or 2 smh.I was lookin forward to seein batista cause I thought he was the best guest villian so far this season to play a zoner. But he wasn't used right,he thru clark like it was nothin. And didn't seem to be scared of him when he held out the crystal yet he runs/hide after throwin him 100 feet what the...I agree they had bow wow more aggressive than batista so I'm disappointed, cause they could have spent more time wit clark/batista than the fotw

To be honest, I didn't like the effects of that move very much..
But the fact that he did it was pretty awesome.

Fanatic , thanks for those!! ;)
PEOPLE: WATCH THAT VIDEO AND TELL ME THAT CLARK WASN'T SUSPENEDED IN AIR FOR A SPLIT-SECOND... I'm sorry but I am sticking to my theory that he flew or semi-fly if that ;)
Thanks again STFanatic that vid should clear things up a bit :)

Yea he definitely flew.... If it was anything other than what he uses to fly then he would have fell at a nice normal speed just like a regular person does when they jump. This time there can't even be a debate about it. This MIGHT be debatable if he just came straight down on an angle (because he could have pushed off the roof) but he didn't. He jumped straight out at super speed, stopped himself for a split second, and then came almost straight down just as fast. I've rewatched this part like 10+ times on my TV.... he flew.

I agree with you! Just rewatched and when Clark comes out of that crane he is going up and not down for maybe a couple of seconds.

Jump was great but I am disappointed that that is the only thing that Clark can use his powers for. An in reality that jump was not possible. He definetlt defied Gravity. He came down at his own will. That speed was too fast to be the mere impact of Gravity...
