I am done watching smallville. This episode went to far in a direction I really didn't want and it crossed my smallville line. I will never watch it again. No one believes me, but I won't. I promise.

Yeah, Lana having Lex's baby is pretty darn out there!

If you told me that back in season one I would had laughed in your face and called you crazy.

I liked the episode. Really looking forward to how Clark is going to develop this season. The Green Arrow should really push him towards the path of a true hero.

Don't see what was so bad about this episode. This season is turning out to be way better than season 5. Didn't really like last season all that much.
Anyways, you know she is going to have a miscarriage anyways. And then next season either lex, clark, or lana will feel really guilty because they did something that killed it (Think back to season 2).
So yeah; don't really see why you would think this episode was that bad to stop watching the show. But I guess if you didn't like this one, maybe the show just isn't for you then.

i dont think they'll take the easy way out with this baby... i think itll be a catalyst for lana finally seeing the real lex, and running away from him to shield their future child from the evilness that comes with being a luthor... obviously clark and chloe will be her shelter, and the baby will be a way for clark and lana to rebuild their frienship... as purely a friendship. the baby will completely make any notion of a clark-lana romantic reconciliation impossible, and that's something to be happy about.

besides, lana had a kid in superman 3.

Yeah well, I lost a lot of faith in the Smallville writers ever since episode 100. The show HAS become rather repetative and a lot of characters have changed too much in a short span for not that many good reasons (Lana, Lex, Martha, Lionel). By repetative, I mean the same FOTW episodes that turn out the exact same way, and a lot of rehashed themes. So with that said, I'm positive she'll have a miscarriage.

But still, even though the show has flaws, no show is perfect. I still like Smallville a lot and I've been watching since the first season. Second half of season 5 is the only time I didn't like Smallville. Season 6 is a lot better. My favourite is season 2, then season 4, then (so far) season 6, season 1, season 3, then season 5.

Clark was fine in this episode. I mean, he's the only reason i watched it for a while there because story lines were getting on my nerves so much, but 2 specific story lines just waaay crossed the line for me this episode. the lana thing and the Mionel thing. I mean OMIGOSH her usband hasn't even been dead a year, and she almost considered getting with his most hated enemy?! the lana thing, IMO, is just the stupidest thing they could have thought up.

actually someone once asked me what would make me stop watching the show, and those were 2 of the scenarios i said.

I see where you're coming from maryjanewatson. But still, both of these stories have been hinted at from before so they're not that surprising.
Lionel and Martha thing has been going on since season 2. And we knew from season 5 that Lex wants to have a kid with Lana. Which is another reason why I know she won't have the baby. In the episode where Lex sees a dream world where he leaves his father, his mother tells him he'll have a family if he doesn't become his father. Since he chose to ignore the warning, he won't be getting that life. I'm positive that will happen.

JK *always* went overboard when it came to Lionel... this "hated enemy" think is laying it on pretty think IMO. For pete's sake- that's pretty much why he died!

As far as Lioenl is concerned, there's always been some measure of attraction on his part. On Martha's part... Lionel's been there for her, and I'm sure she's lonely. I liked her answer- it was very fitting.

As far as the Lana thing, it wasn't the direction I would have gone in, but why was it so far over the line?

Clark and Lana can't end up together, but it doesn't really matter who Lex and Lana end up with so I don't really see what the problem is. Besides, now that Clark and Lex aren't friends anymore, Lex needs someone to interact with.

because there is nothing i hate more than a pregnancy story. especially with lana and lex.

I even lost interest in "friends" after rachel got pregnant.

Lionel and Martha thing has been going on since season 2.
not really. sure, lionel has had feelings for martha since then, but never martha for lionel. Johnathon was martha's one and only.

What the deal is with the writers, and mist especially TPTB in taking Lana down this road is because they refuse to make her anything more then the character of angst driving storylines that are worn, and torn. Don't ever expect to see anything else out of her character that they've, Al/Miles, have destroyed. Why they've chosen this pathetic path for this character, Lana, is because there isn't any other path, it seems, they can go down any longer with her. It's a waste of story time, and gives us no hope it seems for and end to this pathetic writing of this character, Lana. Take care.

Peace To All.

The only way I would quit watching is if they go the abortion route.

As much as I enjoy this series, I have done the same with other series for example we really enjoyed "Judging Amy" till something as mentioned above was a story plot device.

Otherwise I am in for the long haul.

Not watching cause of this episode. This was my favorite one all season (except the "Zod" and "Sneeze" since I never watched them) And I really want to see next weeks now.

Some announcer guy-"And the last 5 minutes will leave you breathless"

After hearing that I could never think about not watching it.

Peace out. Too bad really. You've come this far. Doesn't make sense to just stop watching over something as trivial as Lana getting Knocked up. I mean shes practically slept with everyone in Smallville, it was bound to happen eventually.

At least Lana will earn a nice set of expensive earrings.
Or since she went the extra mile, a matching necklace too.
