Lana's future

I was just thinking about this poor lady. I got a feeling this could be a perfect "out" for Lana.
Lana is pregnant; she is unhappy; she seems to want more space from everyone.
If she doesn't tell Lex about the baby, she could just take off and move on without everyone, meaning the end of Lana on Smallville. Or she might get an abortion and leave to start a new life.
If she does tell Lex, she might tell him the baby belongs to someone else and she leaves, taking her little secret with her.
I would like to see her stay but I cannot see her and a baby on Smallville. With all the time she spends in hospitals, she wouldn't have time to raise a child. :)

See she could leave or give the kid up to sane people. Sorry I have read too many cocmics where she is whacko basket becasue of Lex. And you know Lex would hunt her butt down if she leaves.

Lex would never believe that the baby belongs to someone else, especially with the testing there is today (when the comics first came out, you could get away with that more). Lex would track her down and have a Dr that specializes in genetics with him to test that baby as soon as it pops out, he would also have a judge with him ready to give him custody (whether it was his or not-just to spite Lana) Than he and the baby would take off and not let Lana know where they went and not let her ever see the baby again. And he would probably name the baby Alicia if it was not his, to infuriate her and to get even and would find someone she hates to marry him and adopt the baby. That's only if Lex was a vindictive type person.

OK, but if she leaves and marries some loser like the Lana in Superman III, I don't think Lex would even bother. And I am sure some people who hate Lana would be glad to see her marry some guy like that.

Id be happy if she married a good guy. Problem is it would be hard to fool Lex.

As soapy as Smallville is getting these days, I predict Martha and Lionel get married and they raise Lana's baby. Of course, only some of the people involved will know that it's Lex and Lana's baby they've adopted, creating a season's worth of secrets and lies... :rolleyes:

Oh and the adoption will be handled by Metropolis United Charities ;)

or she might get killed off, although i guess that is a bit unlikely so soon after jonathan's death but its a possibility, maybe next season (if there is one) if not this one

Of course Lex would hunt her down, and of course he'd know it was his. Personally I'm actually hoping she wont leave, I'm not Lana fan but she is still important to the show.
I sure hope she doesnt get killed off though, I really hate it when they kill characters off- altough writing them out with them moving away isnt any better.
So I'm stuck.

I just get the feeling that something bad is going to happen to her. Like she's gonna get attacked by some meteor freak or something from the phantom zone or maybe another asteroid will mess it up.

But I have a feeling Lana won't be able to carry the baby to term.

Sorry, but there is no way she gets killed off. She is a staple in Superman history although a thorn in many peoples' sides. :)

usually a lot of TV series writers, who don't want a character to keep the baby, will use the old-style miscarriage...usually due to some external force, like a fall, getting hit, or something along that line. The subject of Abortion is just too much for some writers to handle . So I'm predicting that Either Lana will keep the baby, or maybe she'll get hit again and have a miscarriage.

If this wasn't Smallville and some kind of soap opera, I'd think that her life is over. I finally thought her and Lex were coming to a close when this happens. Now she is stuck with evil lex and has his spawn! But this is smallville and lana has been in the hospital, well lets just say more that a few times(seriously she should have a reserved room)so Im guessing she will lose the baby and not actually have it, but they'll explore all possiblities with it first. Like the engagement and clark and lex's reactions for instance.

Well, I am not a fan of Lana at all anymore due to their horrible writing for her character and direction. They will add anything to make sure she stays on the show. What a pity :(
