Hahaha....I thought that was great when Lois told Clark something like, "Yeah thanks, I'll just call Chloe." She knows who to call for info, and it sure isn't the BDA. Clark got ripped on alot in this ep.

yea he did,it was as if tptb wanted to show us that no one thinks they can depend on clark anymore.I thought it was weird chloe tried to avoid clana from meetin, then commentin on them collidin when there was no such thing. But everyone looked down on clark in sum way this episode

I find ir insulting that even inside the story tptb make fun of Clark being the stupid, clueless boy, Seriously I cant complain cause now he is more heroish but cmon, that guy is going to win a pulitzer in the future for gawds sake, cant they show him a little more clever and figuring out stuff on his own, so far this season he figures 2 things out, the crystal does everything he cant, and that Bow wow was travelling in an obvious straight path(although he couldnt figure out it was heading towards him).

And the ending, Clark was looking around the table and everyone had someone else: Lois&Ollie, Chloe&Jimmy(he texted, her but it still counts), Lionel&Martha(I hope that is far as their relationship goes for this season). Clark just kinda sat there and took it all in. Also, after he gave his speech he was the only one to say what he was thankful for. Its as if everyone else was thinkin, "ok ignore him and maybe he'll go away."

I just had the feeling that Clark was happy for everyone even though I am sure he still doesn't know what to think about Lionel. I think he did eye the nog and give Lionel a second look. Clark was plannig something I bet :)

I thought that line made Lois look like an incredible dumba**, as well as showing her to be pretty darn hateful to Clark. Hasn't he come to her rescue a few times? Yes. Didn't he go out on a limb to help her sister? Yes. Lois has been close enough to Clark for long enough now not to make such a stupid comment.
She annoyed the crap out me in this episode. And Clark was still nice enough to help her and Ollie and reconcile.
All about Clark

I see your point BadToad. I think I was more bothered that Lois didn't realize Clark was just trying to protect her and that he would look after Oliver. She could have mentioned in the hospital scene he was right and should have listened to him.
But as far as Lois, I wasn't horriby upset with her attitude, because she was mostly upset with Oliver, and Clark was just there to take abuse she wanted to pile on Oliver. And I do think Clark realized that.

Yeah, what an ungrateful witch. I realize the writers were trying to be funny, but Lois could have said something along the lines of, "Your hero abilites are unmatched. Your computer abilities, not so much. I'll just call Chloe". Something like that. It still would have been funny without being mean.

LOL, Lois knows the score! Chloe is the real hero! Clark is just the muscle. Notice how Lana also went to Chloe and pushed Clark away? Poor Clark, not even his ladies see him as the hero anymore. :rotfl:

I love Lois, you guys know I do, but that wasn't really one of her finest moments. :\

Before, everyone depended on Clark even not knowing what he was. I like the contrast of Lois thinking he's pretty useless.

Yeah, and if it wasn't for that Clark, Lex the super genius villian would be toast...again...since the guy can't go a month without being shot, tortured, etc.

I think Lois was a rude dumba** in this episode. Feel free to disagree, but IMO, I'm not wrong. If its alright to accuse Clark of being stupid or whatever every single freaking week, then its perfectly fine for me to think Lois showed the IQ of a turnip, and showed an amazing lack of tact, gratitude, or hell, even decency, in this episode. There's a line between teasing, and being flat out rude and cruel. In this episode, Lois crossed it...and Clark was still nice, helpful and responsible for saving her boyfriend.
IMO

And if it wasn't for Chloe, Clarkie would have never been able to put 2 and 2 together about the Second Chances charity and gone to Lex's rescue in the first place. Hell, Clark wouldn't even have been able to find the lab with the dead scientists withot Chloe either. So I will repeat: CHLOE IS THE REAL HERO! CLARK IS JUST THE MUSCLE!

That didn't bother me so much. It was pretty gentle as insults go and this episode seemed to have a sub theme of "Clark is a dumb @ss" but that just could have been me.
Actually Lois telling Clark that his hero abilities were unmatched would be really weird to me. Maybe more of a "Umm, yeah, thanks but I think I'll still give Chloe a call."
I thought it was mean that Lois said that unlike Clark she didn't abandon people when they needed her. THAT was MEAN. I understand that she said it because she didn't like Clark trying to protect her and she was uber upset about Oliver (she was baking for Christ's sake!) and took it out on Clark, I've been guilty of doing that. However Clark hasn't 'abandoned' people when they needed him, in past season's he HAS been guilty of worrying about his own happiness but he paid the ultimate price for that when he lost his Father. I understand why she said it, but I still thought that was really a mean thing to say.
I remember a similar incident occuring between Starbuck and Apollo on Battlestar Galactica (the new one where Starbuck is a woman and her and a Apollo sort of have a 'thing') where she ripped into his @ss like you wouldn't believe, but you understood the motivation and a lot of fans were mad at Kara (Starbuck) for saying what she did (like I'm mad at Lois for saying what SHE did) but they understood the motivation.
So I don't think she's ungrateful for saying that because that comment didn't stem out of ungratefulness, but anger over something else and then anger at Clark for interferring with her relationship. That's reiterated when she told Clark to "Don't even go there." When he asked if she had talked to Oliver. SHE wanted to talk to Oliver, she didn't want CLARK to talk to him. However I don't agree that it was a very nice thing to say and I applaud Clark for forgiving her. There is no question that Clark considers himself Lois' friend after that. She says something like that to him and he forgave her that same day and still tried to help her.
Lois seems an awful lot nicer to Oliver in this episode . . .which makes me think Lois might be like THIS T-shirt slogan. "I can only be nice to one person a day . . . today isn't your day." :p
I may be a Lois fan, but I'm not blinded by her. I know a flaw when I see one.
Clark is improving A LOT this season. The line at the beginning of the episode made me groan, but at least they didn't go backwards from that point.
