Good chemistry between the actors? Yes.
Good chemistry between the characters? Sorry, NO! I'd classify that more as tension, not chemistry.

i agree, you do feel their chemistry, even doomed and all.
"didnt you ever wish you could go back in time?"
"I always do"
close enough on my quoting the scene.

I thought it was a great scene, for once, Clark actually seemed to care about someone, not just askin for his own information.
I think the chemistry will always be there cause they did date and loved eachother, but Clana is never gonna happen again

Agreed. The actors had great chemistry in that seen. I have to admit I never saw chemistry between the characters. They just don't gel. Lana's the type of woman that needs to put in check and brought back down to earth every once in a while (partly why I like Lexana). Clark is the type of man who wants to give his woman whatever she wants whenever she wants it. Their personalities just don't compliment each other.

That was actually a very well done dramatic scene between the two. I liked how Lana told Clark that it had nothing to do with him, but she wasn't really hurtful to him. And besides, I would never expect Lana to tell Clark about it anyway. That would be like twisting a knife into his heart about 20 times, assuming that you could actually do it to Clark.

Yeah, as someone who normally doesn't like Clana scenes, I thought that was a great scene... it was really sad, emotional... just.. guh! *sniffle* I felt bad for Lana throughout the whole episode

Sorry, but there was zero romantic chemistry between those two. It's clear to me that the only thing Clark and Lana can ever become now is friends.

Despite being a Chlarker, I have to agree.
That was a great scene. Not necessarily romantic, but great, IMO. Phenomenal acting, especially from KK. Man, It made me realize how much I missed her in the recent years...

yeah clana will never be forgotten. that scene and the one at the daily planet were the best scenes in the episode.

No romantic vibes, but that was a nice scene between them. I thought Clark showed a lot of compassion and gentleness towards Lana. It was sad, but very well done.

that scene was adorable
clark was so sweet = D
it was more of a *brother/sister that were recently in a argument* scene if you ask me. (of course w/o the whole relationship in the past)

soo true!! just goes to show lexana minions you can paint whatever crazy portrait you'd like to justify the debacle they created with this but when push comes to shove, Lana will always be that "girl next door" SMILING TO SELF...:D

it seemed like lana was going to tell clark but then he accused lex of doing something wrong & she got all cold again
i just wish they could go back to being friends again and confide in each other

Yes, I agree. I didn't see any kind of romantic vibes there. All I saw was a concerned Clark, which it's a typical reaction for him. He still cares about her, but you can also see Lana's hesistation to trust him. She made it pretty clear this had nothing to do with him or whatever they had before.

Yeah even if they're playing awkward, there must be something there to even play that.

I think they'll give the relationship another chance but this time with Lana already knowing the secret.
I think all of us enjoyed Mortal becuase there was no angst and you see Clark completely happy with the person he loves... so a few Mortal-like episodes are fine with me... and then from then on, they can come to a mutual understanding that things are just not going to work out and that it's better to just remain friends.
THAT I can accept.

Not a bad thought and I was as big a Clana supporter as there was but...Lana crossed a line that she can never come back from in my mind. Not only do you NOT date your exes friends but the fact that:
1) she never remotely even liked Lex attraction-wise and barely had a platonic relationship w him for that matter
2) Her bed sheets barely had time to get cold and she was getting intimate w Lex
3) Clark and Lex had just reached the intial point of being adversaries before this transpired
4) This went down in the face of JK's death
5) Her attitude and behavior to Clark have been nothing short of atrocious. I can understand her anger over him ending it but until last night when she realized how bad she screwed herself, she seemed to have gotten nastier towards Clark as time went on!
I believe ultimately, they will be friends again but I arrive to that ends by far different means. Truthfully, the beauty of how TPTB are repairing the damage they created by starting this Lexana pairing is that a once distorted picture gets closer and closer to becoming quite focused. At one point, I wouldn't have dreamed of enjoying this show w/o the beauty that was once Clana. Add to that the fact that I couldn't concieve Clark and Lois ever being remotely compatable. Now, I look at it like this. The man that will once become Superman has the most import secret in the world to keep in order to protect his loved ones. He had decided that Lana would be the chosen one to share and really protect that secret. Circumstances caused that to change and Lana responded by revealing a needy, disloyal, and untrusting side that would be very detrimental to the future protector of our world. Now Lois on the other hand: independent, fiercely loyal, and self sufficient. That is who you'd want in your foxhole if your CK!!!!

I think that her bed sheets cooled down quite a bit since she wasn't getting any from Clark after Hidden, but I see your point.

that was more figurative to be honest. obviously even if the Ho slept with Lex the VERY next day, the sheets would have cooled but more importantly, she had intimate relations with a man she "loved" for years and years and a week or two later she's having intimate relations with another. The fact that the two men were friends turned enemies, she never had even the slightest interest, etc etc not withstanding...

Exactly!
There were so many hints towards Clana in yesterday episode.
It sucks that TPTB put Lana through Lexana though.
Makes me so angry just thinking about it.
It does taint Lana's character in a lot way.

I too was just as angry but honestly i've come to terms with it and more and more it's becoming a natural progression of the story in my mind. How many of us actually find true love with our "childhood sweetheart"? And the taint of her character? Yea, I suppose the same but in a way it inspires my new conception of all of this Clark-Lana-Lex dynamic ( see my #29 post ). I won't disagree that TPTB screwed up HARD with the end of last season, primarily indulging in this Lexana garbage but it can't be undone at this point and in order to be who they both are now in the comics continuity, both characters needed to evolve beyond what they once were. It's just a shame that Lana's evolution had to be painful to watch, unrealistic to her ethics, and downright stupid!!

That it does; but I'm starting to view it as a necessary evil (no pun intended). I don't like it, nor will I ever but if it makes things come full circle to where they are supposed to be, then perhaps it's roll was necessary.

this scene was so good. i really don't like lana, but i felt really sorry for her tonight. her face looked so crushed and devastated, beyond sad or depressed, but really in anguish. and clark was so concerned. he was the sweetest thing ever in this episode! i just wanted to bundle him up in my arms and give him a big hug. as daisy buchana would say, "i want to put him on one of the pink fluffy clouds and push him around in it."
