View Full Version : I have a feeling Lex killed her.

Does anyone else think Lex was the one that killed her and ruined the lab?
I highly doubt GA did that. Even with the rage it gave him. I don't see him becoming a bad guy because of that, more like the Punisher with anger issues.
In other words, seems more like something Lex would do than Oliver.

So, that means GA killed her? Why didn't he admit it then?

I think lex did arrange her to kill by somebody else doing his dirty work, when green arrow confronted lex he said the doc was already dead. When he want back to the lab to ask her some question involving her dealings with lex.

If Lex killed her...then they just ruined a grand experience for me. Even if he did SET UP the murder instead of physically killing her. I wanted the person to feel the first of Lex's wrath to be LIONEL LUTHOR! Nothing says evil then killing your own father, especially since he's changed. Well, in theory anyway. So, if Lex truly did set this up then for me, his transaction was WAY too fast. I mean, they could at least show him conflicting internally whether or not to kill a person. Not just leave it a mystery or up to the fan's speculation. Now this is all IMO. Also, I have no idea why everyone wants Lex to be the ultimate evil he's destined to become so early in the season. I would love it if Level 33.1 was exposed, and Lex was seen constantly contemplating the benefits and risks of experimenting on innocent people. I swear they should have Lex write a journal in, at least one episode to give us a better look in his psyche.
I don't want to drone this out, but I feel that Lex is lacking MOTIVATION for his actions. A doctor stands in her way so he kills her? I mean, maybe I'm judging prematurely but they basically shove it in your face and tell you that Lex was a part of this. And I thought it might've been a break in that had gone terribly wrong, but Lex conveyed no emotion or even the slightest hint of remorse on her death. And before I close this, I just have one more thing to gripe about. Don't get me wrong, this was a solid episode, I give it a 7/10. But the reactions seem...odd to me. I mean Clark felt that Lex had something to do with it...and expressed little emotion. Though they're...practically enemies....Lex was Clark's best friend for how many years? And Clark just ups and believes that Lex would be capable of something like that? I dunno. I'm sorry, once again, this has turned into a big, long rant, but I strongly opposed this aspect of the episode.

When Lex finally kills someone on this show, trust me, you'll see it, and it will probably be a main character.

Oliver.
If there is a murder and Lex was anywhere nearby then ten to one he proably did it. Its Lex Luthor, killing is part of his hobby. Or at least the Lex I grew up with.

It was one of the Halfway house guys. CHloe said he got caught. Clark thinks Lex is involved. I think either Lex got the Halfway house guy to do it, or Lex framed him.

Didn't Chloe say something about the guy GA confronted on the roof. Him going back and killing the doc. I think thats where Lex fits in with the whole did he or didn't he theroy. Lex did it I believe, he just got that guy to do it.

Lex indirectly did it, I suppose.

Lex has killed people before.... remember season 2, the first epi? I forgot what it's called.. anyways didnt' he shoot that reporter guy?
I think lex could have killed that Biologist woman thing, it wouldn't be that far of a stretch to him, he's an evil cue ball after all.

I totally agree on this! If Lex revealed as being totally responsible, I'd have been as upset as you, because Lex cannot become a murderer yet. We still need to feel sympathy for him so that when he finally does transform into a murderer, it's much more tragic. BUT...I don't think he did it. He may have paid the guy to "do what it takes", but he didn't actually authorize a murder. He probably didn't say, "Kill her." Knowing Lex (the Lex of "Smallville"), he probably hired the guy and said, "Do what it takes..." and MAYBE said, "...but DON'T kill her," and the guy just killed her anyway because he was crazy. There are differing possibilities on this. I DO think Lex was "involved" because you notice the look on his face when Oliver tells him he knows about the doctor's death, but I don't think Lex knew that the doctor was murdered until Oliver told him. He looked a little bit shocked at that. Go back and rewatch it, you'll see I think. As for Clark...yeah, I think he'd be more upset, but I think that he's known since "Vessel" just how bad Lex has gotten, especially when Lex said, "You wanted to be my savior, to stop me from the dark path I'd started. Maybe you just couldn't handle the fact that you failed." I think that Clark would still be hugely disappointed if he found out Lex killed that woman, but, according to Clark's words, he thinks he was just "involved", meaning he may not have played a huge role in her death, but a somewhat indirect one. This is my theory on what happened to Andrea's mom in "Vengenace". I don't think Lionel was totally responsible, but just hired someone to intimidate her, and it went too far.

It was deliberately ambiguous. Lex certainly could have killed her or sent the thug from the half-way house to do it for him although I tend to think it was the thug on his own. Lex was behind the halfway house experiemental testing though so, hence his insistence that Lana satay away form it. Why on Earth Lana would choose that project more than others was unclear to me but still. Yes, Lex has killed people on camera before and who knows what he has done on Level 33.

...How about Lionel?
I am so hoping that he's bad again...

Lex killed her, directly or indirectly. If he ordered it done, it was directly. And he did have motivation to do so. If the street thug did it, its because he was affected by the drug that Lex was testing on him. Which makes Lex responsible, but indirectly.
Either way, its at his feet. And since he ended up with all the samples from the lab, that would seem to hint to me that he's the one that directly had her killed. IMO
And Lex has already been directly responsible for a death in "Cyborg". Rememer the doctor that let Victor go, dead in the car?

And if it wasn't for Clark getting there in time in 'Aqua' what would Lex have truly done to AC?
LEX
(sadistically grins)
.... Drown him to death
I mean /\ THAT'S the Lex Luthor we saw in that episode. And that was 'normal' Lex. He was having as much fun killing AC as a child, unknowlingly, might burning and killing ants through a microscope. I mean, Lex LOVED it!!!
I have no doubt Lex is behind this, because it's not that out of character.
It wasn't a direct kill though, Lex would never be that lazy. No, he hired a guy to do it- it has Lex written all over it. An arrow?!!! I don't think that half-way house guy is that 'smart' to frame the whole thing on GA, he was working for an unanymous honcho- and I say that was Lex. Because it's obviously not Green Arrow, the guy is a hero- meaning GA on "drugs" is the Punisher. Now, Lex on the other hand- we have seen Lex do countless acts and have repeatedly played others like pawns on a chess board. It fits his style.
And as for the whole thing being unanymous- I think it's meant to be.... "was Lex truly responsible?" Perhaps this comes up again? Perhaps they look into it further, perhaps not? But, the first time that Lex does get lazy, does get emotional is his first direct kill- which would definitely be Lionell.

This is how I see it. Lex told her he can't let that happen. So right there he took the drugs, made a call, and had the halfway house guy do the deed.

I never knew viewers thought that anyone else other than Lex (or a hitman he paid) killed the doctor. I thought it was completely obvious, especially how Lex reacted when she wanted out. I don't remember an arrow on the wall, but Lex could have set one up to frame the GA.

Lex Luthor was definitely behind her death. Lex has killed numerous times before this. His good side is pretty much dead.

did u guys 4get that lex has already killed roger nixon AND lanas ex bf jason? might be more characters but I remember those quite thoroughly and roger nixon was the first ep of season 2 so its already pretty well known that lex has no problems killing if he has to.

Actually Lionel killed Jason. He and Lex got into a fight. Jason was going to reveal a secret and Lionell shot him. Although, Jason was not killed by the gun shot because he would later show up in the season finale at the Kents.
