Jonathon might have not been dead quite a year, but he didn't *just* die. I thought the Mionel moment was funny, awkward, but funny.

Yeah, that just... I was sitting there on my floor chanting over and over, "No. No. Absolutely not. Stop. Just stop. Stop now." Everything about that scene felt WRONG!!! So very terribly wrong.

I was actually sick a little durring that whole thing.

I honest to God started uncontrollably gagging, no joke...

I really thought I was going to puke.

I may complain to CW, scenes like that might be dangerous to my health.

Yeah, that was just a bit too soon. The initial scene was definitely a WTF moment, but I was at least happy to see Martha draw a line (even if it was after the fact).

The only thing that makes me like the Mionel is the fact that it now looks as if Lionel if more interested in being a part of Clark's family than his own, and that will be very instrumental in the inevitable demise of the Lex/Loinel relationship. Remember in Truth, Lex confessed to Chloe that all he's ever wanted is for his faher to love him, and we know he's already jealous of Clark, so Lionel choosing the Kents over Lex is just.... perfect!

I for one hate "Mionel" but, seeing how you've woven Lex/Lionel's demise in amongst your theory... it actually makes sense. I just have to learn to deal with an upset stomach while I watch it unfold.

The scenes between Martha and Lionel make me cringe, just like I cringed with Lexana last year. I hope they don't hookup, I really don't see the point in having all of these relationships. It's like hookup city on Smallvile this season.

Martha and Lionel is worse than Lex and Lana. There is no way there should be any relationship beyond a handshake. Season 6 was just beginning to look like it had reached a higher level.

You just described my reaction exactly. Except I was also screaming, "my eyes! my eyes!!"

Poor Jonathan --- you know he's turning over in his grave. Even my husband (who barely ever watches the show) saw that scene and goes, "Is this evil Martha? Why the hell would she get with this guy? What's wrong with her - is she possessed?"

Too soon? It was snowing when Johnathon died and it's going to snow soon again people.

She did say she doesn't want to find out what the something is right now. The woman is lonely. A woman with a bad marriage will never go into another but people that had a good marriage will try again when one of the spouses die

Way wrong, doesn't ever need to happen. and shouldn't ever happen. I think that we'll never see that happen, and I am sure DC would never let it happen. Take care.

Peace To All.

i dont have a problem....she cant stay alone forever and she DID say she wasn't ready YET! so in other words they'll get together.....just not so quickly; so soon. and Bo didnt JUST die, that happened mid-last season and its time to move on....how many more seasons will smallville have anyways? i love this and i cant wait for them to get together. :p

agree tho her response was alil late it still reminded us that we wouldn't see them jus jump into anythin within the next few episodes. And ur right about lionel he does seem more interested in bein apart of clark's life now,so it will drive lex crazy later on.Lex luvs his father he jus wish lionel felt the same,so seein him luv clark more than his own will drive lex mad.Could setup a future killin of the MB from lex,so ur right whether we like mionel or not if it setup tension wit lex/lionel(Possible death later on)then fine wit me

Well in arrow he seemed helpful when clark came to ask him about the necklace, and even in reunion I didn't see any hate.I think clark likes lionel he's jus not fully trustin him jus yet since he says Jor-El doesn't possess him anymore but he doesn't have a big prob wit him.So that scene didn't shock me,what shock me was lionel comin by to turn down the invite because of clark.I thought he would have jumped at the chance, but him bein over didn't suprise me.Not wit the way things have been between lionel and the kents lately

Lots of people remarry a year or 2 after the death of their spouse. Don't worry tho, Martha won't. You know why? Because it's about as far from cannon as Martha Kent could possibly get and because Lex will kill Lionel before she's "ready".

I could appreciate the Mionel when it was just Lionel somewhat creepily dropping hints to Martha about how he's there for her. But she should not be reciprocating.

Martha Kent almost kissing Lionel Luthor?? Major canon defamation in my book. Martha is supposed to be so smart (especially in the Smallville incarnation) and she and Jonathan are the foundation for Superman's moral core.

It's one thing for her to feel some attraction to Lionel, quite another for her to be stupid enough to forget that is the Lionel Luthor who is a CONVICTED MURDERER and who is responsible in large measure for her husband's death.

What happened to the real Martha?? The one who in the season 4 premiere warned Lois to avoid getting sucked into Lionel's web and said she hadn't escaped unscathed?

Martha is an attractive woman, so when she finally moves on and tries dating again, please, PLEASE don't let it be with Lionel.

Mionel=scratching a fork across a chalk board

But in MK's defense...when you're dead, you're DEAD.Life goes on I'm sure the town of Smallville would like to see her a widower forever.

Men recover quickly all the time, marrying again and often younger wives than their dearly departed. But when women snap back quick everyone wants to stop the presses.

MK will love again! even if Mionel makes me puke a little.

And MK WILL love again, but whomever she ends up with, we'll always know she loved JK the best!

Still, NO MIONEL. Please!!! *begs MK to come to her senses*

I would like Lionel to end up in a position where he has the opportunity of pulling the trigger with his "Power" scheme, but does not after considering all the Kents did for him and how much they mean to him. I want that to be the difference between Lex & Lionel. Just like the legend of Naman says that Lex is the friend who becomes the enemy, I want Lionel to be the enemy who becomes the friend. It would be an awesome parallel between the 2.

god I hated the idea of Martha even considering the idea. If they did kiss that would have been it and I would not watch the show anymore. And dead a month or 2 years dosn't mean a thing by the way of Martha talking about how she didn't know what she would do if she ever lost him and alway saying how much she loves him. This is just not Martha hey she isn't Lois!!

Jonathan would turn over in his grave if martha and lionel got toghether. I was very proud of lionel for walking away and not kissing martha, but also proud of martha for saying she didnt want to find out what was between them just yet.

i dont want mionel, but i do think that lionel does love martha and that he would take care of her, like in that episode that i cant remember the name of from season 5.

martha needs to have her menopause, she needs to stop whoring around like that. Here's Clark wondering that his birth mother wouldnt leave her husbands sight knowing she will die in the process, and here his human parent counterpart cant wait a few months to get it on with some other man after her husband just passed away. Oh and did i mention HE is the reason why her husband died to begin with? B.S.

Wow, thats a little excessive isn't it? So you don't like Mionel. Okay. But, jeez, that doesn't mean Martha's a whore.

And btw, my mom is past menopause (and a widow) and she just started a new relationship. I don't think women go nun after menopause.

I agree on both accounts! Sooner or later Martha will move on with her life, be it with Lionel or some other guy, that doesn't mean though that she will forget her first husband or the love and life she shared with him! So people should just ease up and give the woman a break!

As for real life relationships, yes I agree, being a widow and a woman who has experienced menopause, doesn't equal being a nun, nor should it!

Just think; only last Thanksgiving Jonathan was eating Thanskgiving dinner with his loving wife and his son. Eating the Thanksgiving meal prepared by his wife Martha, the woman whom he adored above all others, content and happy in the knowledge of his love for her and her love for him. Little did poor Jonthan realize that he would not live to see another Thanksgiving; and not only that but that Martha, his loving wife, would be practically making out with Lionel Luthor in a year's time, and that Lionel would be making himself at home in Jonthan's house on Thanksgiving day. Poor, poor Jonthan.

Oh, come on, I give you props for the drama, that's for sure! A yeah has passed already, which by the way is perfectly acceptable mourning time! What is Martha supposed to do, stay a wido her whole life! I mean she still has the best years of her life ahead of her! And yes, while Lionel wouldn't have been Jonathan's choice, and he for sure isn't Clark's choice, he is Marthas though, and that's all that matters! Cos in the end, it's Martha's choice whom she wants to take that step into the dating scene again! As for 'poor' Jonathan, I am sure he would want his beloved wife to be happy, even if that means being togethr with Lionel, as long as Martha is happy, I am sure Jonathan won't turn in his grave at the prospect!

Her picking Lionel is a slap in the face to Johnathan plain and simple.

I don't care if she picked the homeless guy down the street to date. Loinel should not be anywhere on her dating list.

Poor Johnathan, his wife is about to shack up with the Dude that caused his heartattack. I don't care how he explained his actions away. He approached Johnathan in a way that caused his death.

Martha having feelings for him is the worst romance horror story in years.
