A minute into his first scene and Clark already hates his powers again...

I'm glad someone brought this up, cause i was gonna. How the heck can he be all gung ho last week, and within the first fifteen minutes, be back to being cursed and hating himself.
Heck, this entire episode, was pretty much about what a loser clark is, and how he's wasting his life.

And how much a loser Olliver is.

well i guess maybe thanksgiving reminded him of how he lost his dad and everything that went wrong in the past year so that made him hate his powers

Clark will step it up next week again. I actually thought that GA was a little harsh with him. This was a minor setback for Clark. I don't expect any major setbacks to happen until the second half of the season once they know the show will get picked up for next year.

 Lets hope so, cause I really don't think Clark can take anymore setbacks. They've pretty much reached the limit on Clarks "whoa-is-me moments"...its either put up or shut up.
but once those moments are gone, i'll be relieved but i might miss the rawness of them

That really pissed me off... he was ready to accept his destiny last week... and now the writer's pust have forgotten it even happened! I blame the sry writer who wrote this episode for having the worst possible continuity.

even though he is not running, he can still feel bad its the first thanksgiving without pa kent. its okay, he made up for it at dinner.

There's nothing wrong with having a little regret about something, especially when it has something to do with the loss of a loved one! Of course, dwelling on the past like that really isn't healthy either.

I'm just getting tired of it... he's been doing it all the time since Pa Kent and his break-up of Lana... it gets really monotonous and annoying. Just accept your destiny, and look to the future!

I have a question. Did Clark tell GA/OQ about being an alien and I missed it? All he knows is that clark has powers and is not using them the why he would. What was the whole protecting your idenity crap? He has know Idea what all Clark does or does not do.
As far as his destiny, I think he was just having a bad day. Lots of people get depressed around Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Sometimes when I see things like 'happy at the end of one episode and sad at the beggining of the next', I start to think the episode was filmed before the previous one I saw.

I had a hard time accepting my destiny as an Omnipotent DarkOverlord, I knew it would be a hard and lonley life, filled with pain and lack of love and understanding.
Then I saw the cool ring that goes with it and the awesome ringtone for my cell !
Maybe that's all Clark needs.

Yeah, I was very disappointed, too...
Today was another step backwards in his development. Which is sad as he seemed on a good track...

It was natural that, at thanksgiving time, missing his father and knowing that his death was beacuse of who Clark really is, that Clark should be a tad on the downside.
I mean, how shallow do we want him to be?

I don't mind Clark feeling bad about his dad's demise and stuff. What really pissed me off is that there wasn't even a mention of Clark actively seeking other Zoners when just in the previous episode he swore he wouldn't start his training until every last one of them had been dealt with. No bloody continuity at all.
