For those interested, I got the game and love it, although I'm a little disappointed with the song lineup. There are some great ones, of course, but there are so many "screaming metal not really a very fun song to listen to" songs on there whereas in the last game it felt more like a classic rock, with some modern thrown in, and jazzy game. However, there were some some songs I hoped for in the first one on this one, and overall it balances out.

Anyways, I thought I would post the full song list, including all bonus tracks, here, for those that might be on the fence. Assuming anyone else here is even interested in Guitar Hero, anyways. :P

Strong Bad - Trogdor and DETHKLOK - Thunderhorse are my favorites (and I'm not even a fan of Metalocalypse.) Most of the bonus tracks are pretty meh so far, but I haven't really played many of them.

I'm probably in the minority here, but playing Freebird as an encore at the end of the game was one of the best moments in either of the two GH games. Yeah, I know, highly overrated and shouted out by white trash at rock concerts, but damnit it's a fun song.

I have guitar hero 2 ;) and i love it, i love playing it in big groups with my friends lol. i think my favorite songs are "beast and the harlot", "thunderhorse", "message in a bottle", "freebird", and "the light that blinds" (even though it kicks my butt on hard).

love this game. i hate the song freebird but love playing it. i think the worst song on the game is "Yes We Can" for me the most fun song to play is "Stop" by Jane's Addiction.

I haven't played the first guitar hero, what kind of songs are on it?

I love this game its addicting.Favorites would have to be Beast and the Harlot,Carry On Wayward Son,Sweet Child O' Mine,The Light That Blinds,and Killing in the Name.Yes We Can is the worst song in the game its horrible.From the first Guitar Hero I know that they had Cowboys From Hell by Pantera I cant remember and of the others I only played it once and I own the second one.

I got it on 360. It's pretty sweet. They have a lot of downloadable content on Live with songs from the first game. think YYZ maight be my favorite,but I basically love all the songs on that game. Live needs to come out with some Zeppelin tunes though. Or maybe some AC/DC. Where are they at? Probably being gay and wouldn't let them put songs on the game. GAY

I only liked about 6 songs on Guitar Hero 1. When 2 came out, I loved it immediately. It's got a lot of songs that I really love. Carry On My Wayward Son, Sweet Child of Mine, Bad Reputation and Crazy On You the most.

Even though I'm really a fan of ALM more than the music in this game.

i dont have guitar hero 1 but i have guitar hero 2 and its awsome i beat it in all the modes its pretty hard

Guitar Hero 1 is definitely worth a purchase, especially since you can find it cheap and already have the guitar controller. You should also check out Guitar Hero Encore: Rocks the 80's, and the upcoming Guitar Hero 3.

You guys should also checkout

Rock Band. It's a game coming out for the xbox360. You can buy the drums set with it, or guitar and i think their are others.

I'm not even sure if it's out yet. It's apparently going to be good though.

I have Guitar Hero 2, too. It's a fun game but my wrist always hurts afterwards. :lol:

I can't wait until Rock Band comes out. I'm getting the drums for it. :)

oh god I know....like between my excessive computer usage and my addiction to Guitar Hero..I'm going to be in wrists braces by next year:lol:

I cant wait for Rock Band! Its supposed to be released for PS3 and Xbox 360 on November 23rd and for PS2 on December 10th...sucks I gotta wait for the latter:(
