Why do they kill off good characters and not Lana

Seriously I want ot know. Raya was great and htye kill her off too. First Alica then Jonathan now Raya. In the words of Eric Foreman, "WHAT THE HELL!"

Lana is a part of the Superman mythos, unless AlMiles address us, she isn't going anytime soon. It was inevitable, and conspicuous that Raya was gonna' die, we all didn't want it, but knew it was gonna' happen.

You're right, with Raya and Alicia, they atleast could've been kept a couple more epis.

I thought they sort of walked themselves in a trap when in an older eppy that person read Lana's future and she lives to be at a very old age. Personally If I were AlMIles, I would have her move out to Witchita with Pete or something.

Lana isn't that bigger part of mythos as she is shown is Smallville but she is, so she won't die.

Besides, KK is one of the big three acotrs of Smallville, has a lot of fans and always had a pivotal role to play so they won't kill her off just like that.

It's annoying how TPTB kill off characters after "they served their purpose". I could tolerate Alicia since she had 3 episodes and because Clark doesn't end up with her in the future, but Raya?

I do really hope that TPTB bring back Raya AND Brainiac. Theses two were such good characters.

Not sure why they do what they do, but Lana will be around til the end of the series if the writers want to stay historically correct. It's true they were able to change the legacy by adding Chloe, but to do away with Lana will just be wrong.

I might be wrong, but we see her live old and then her destiny change when clark save the coach. But we didn't see her 'new' destiny after Clark save the two girls off the burning house.

in the comics, Lana exists to piss off Lois by hitting on Clark. She sorta plays a Chloe-like role, pining over Clark. Still, she's actually a decent comic character, I like her in the comics a lot. It's why I'm so disappointed seeing her like this.

Plus, the last time I checked, Lana and Pete were caucasian. Not that I dislike being multi-cultural, but wtf!

Raya wasn't nearly as interesting as I was hoping that she'd be. She was such a Jor-El fangirl too, I'm surprised that Clark took all of her gushing seriously. Ah well, at least he's ready to accept his destiny now and form a close bond with his psychopathic, retconned father.

You know what's annoying? Always hearing "this person needs to die" "that person needs to die". And no I'm not defending Lana here. It seems every thread I go into there is somebody saying that so and so needs to die. Be it Lana, Chloe, Joe Bob, whomever.

And good people is subject to debate. I personally wasn't all that overwhelmed with her death. The only death that bears mentioning is JK and that's mainly b/c he was part of the show for over 4 seasons.

What's annoying are repeated memory wipes, super hero guest stars; arcs that play out way too long and repeatedly getting bashed over the head with an anvil.

There's got to be a better way of expressioning displeasure toward a character than always wishing death. That in itself is annoying to those of us who are tired of hearing it.
