I was waiting for him to say "Ok, this guy is coming to kill me because my Dad, who was an alien, trapped him in another dimension. Now he's after Milton Fine's power source, who also came here, along with Zod, cause they were pissed at me and my dad..."

This is why this was the best Smallville episode for Clark on all fronts. The fact that he finally was honest to Lana and that she told him the truth back, that was great to see. If I am going to get a Clana scene, this is the type of scene that I want to see. I can't stand the angst anymore.

I actually enjoyed that scene. Me? Enjoying a Clana scene you say? Yeah, because for a moment I saw Clark actually moving on from his Lana infatuation. Zero angst going on there.

Yeah, I was shocked when Clark whipped out that picture. I expected him to start stuttering or something. Very nice!

I know right! Im pretty sure all the haters wouldnt mind a Clana friendship with both being honest about stuff like this.
Gosh, they just need to make Lana learn the secret like now.

Hear, hear. Lana was also a lot more mature that past conversations. I think they're building to a Clark/Lana revelation this season, or at least I hope they are.

I bet they will not go that direction since he knows that fate may possible kill her again.. just a thought.

I agree, but tonights tension wit lexana also has me thinkin more that the hydro kiss is wit clana. But not we wont get romantic clana out of it jus the end,but I agree this is the way I wanna see clana scenes. She didn't seem bitter when he showed up and clark didn't look the least bit jealous he looked like he was on a mission(Which he was).So I agree tonight was the best episode as far as dealin wit clark,I thought he showed growth in Zod,and even in reunion. But this episode really showed alot imo

well I dont think he'll tell her but I think she'll find out at sum point, maybe in hydro if she kisses him. Then clark could tell her how it wouldn't work and either tell her or she see's his powers and understands. But I did like how there was no angst there tonight,in sneeze it was jus as bad as them still bein together. So I was suprise by the clana scene tonight it wasn't bad

I don't see it as hope for romantic Clana but I do see it as hope for Clana friendship. Lana's anger from the breakup seems to have died off...
And it was angst-less. Ah... so refreshing...
I still think romantic Clana is DEAD!

I really liked the Clark/Lana scene tonight. I have been saying since they broke up that Lana should be Clark's friend and possibly learn his secret. It just has to be that way, I mean Clark was willing to marry her so he will always love her and I sure she does too, it just they will love each other as friends from now on hopefully.

Please, please tell me what happened. I missed that part of the show. My husband is in the hospital and believe it or not, it was more important to take the hospital call at that time, so I missed it. ( been so out of it, couldn't even think of recording it)

I think he just needs to tell her she is already on the outs with Lex, if he revealed his secret he'd seal the deal. Honestly the Lexana is boring me.

I agree. That's how I read the scene as well.
As for Clark telling Lana, I doub it. She will find out all by herself.

The fact that there was no angst makes me think that the rumored kiss is definatly not with Lana. Now back to the topic at hand. When she started talking to Clark I started to shudder, but when they were civil to each other i was pleasently surprised.

That was a pretty darned good Clana scene. I was very pleasantly suprised. I liked how Lana waited till Lex left the room, then approached Clark very business-like, but with civility. She even recognized that she's aware he doesn't want her in the middle of it. And Clark produced the picture, and she told him what happened.
It was mature, and civil. And while there was no romantic angst, I'd even go as far to say that Lana probably exuded more warmth in that 60 second scene then she did in all her scenes with Lex.
But really, no going back to Clana romance. But this tentative civility? I could definitely like.

I agree tonight showed alot to me,it shows that at sum point clana will become friends. Both will move on and except that its not meant to be but ur right the hate had seem to vanish tonight.I'm still suprise both told the truth to each other,in sneeze she didn't want clark to help if it wasn't for lex.Tonight she didn't care if it was for lex or not she told so clark could help.So that was a stepup in their ship, cause she's been hella hateful to him lately. So good to see that much changin, but I agree romantic clana is dead. But tonight imo shows that clana will become friends again and lex will not like it,he seems to still hate clark.

I can see it now. Lana runs out on her wedding with Lex, to be with Clark, only to find he's moved on with Lois.

And so what happens IF the romantic relationship was brought back? There's a possibility they'll bring it back.
I, for one would love an angst free romantic relationship between the two and then from there they both realize that they're just not meant to be and better off as friends.
So I hope there is romantic Clana... atleast one more time with Lana knowing his secret.
I mean, it's possible... nothing is written in stone, atleast not in Smallville. We all thought Raya was a love interest for Clark since Al Gough said so himself... but that obviously didn't happen, it wasn't even remotely close to a "romantic" thing between the two. Even we can't trust what Al says.
TPTB can always change their minds. Besides, this is their version of the mythos. They can do what they want with it.

I can't see them bringing the relationship back. If Clark and Lana are not meant to end up together, which we know is the case, then there is no reason to throw them together yet again, even with her knowing the secret, after everything that has happened. The writers had a chance to do that in season 5 and they took the lexana route. I'd rather see a nice friendship form between the two of them, especially after she finds out the truth about him. That is the best possible thing for everyone on this show. Lex can go off and be evil. Clark can have a friend in Lana that knows his secret and Lana can be a likeable character as this show starts to wrap up.

Yep. Which is how most continuations were written and how they should be. Lana should be a loyal friend in the end, entrusting his secret and allowing him to move on- but deep down inside always feels something for him. Sad, but essential. Today in comics, Lana is a strong ally for Clark/Superman- C.E.O of LexCorp.

I feel like Lana obviously knows something is up with Clark. I think she gets he is different but want him to tell her himself. I really liked how he didn't lie to her in this episode. This would be nice to see more often without leading to Clana. Although after this interaction I almost feel like it could be Lana who kisses Clark in the Hydro spoiler

I completely agree. I can't see TPTB bringing it back. Clark is obviously changing (Fallout was great evidence of this change), I don't see how a Clana romantic relationship AGAIN can help to Clark's character development. Friendship is the best thing we can hope for.

I agree with most of the people on this thread. I think this episode was the beginning of Clark's and Lana's friendship and the beginning of her breakup with Lex (which will likely drag on for awhile).

He just showed a picture to lana and said have you seen this.
He was just getting information from her.

Her reaction to his honesty was cool as well...
She didn't lie to him when she saw the photo.
Though it is a given it isn't going to happen or start again between them... they need closure so all that they went through is not for nothing... the writers did a good job. Let hope they stick with that direction.

Well if it goes the comic route, just like johnathan's death, than he just might tell her this season. at most maybe next season. Because Lana knows Clark's secret in the comics so i think he will this season based on this evidence.

well how i wrote in the thread about continuity
"I can't wait to see how corrupt Lana will be ..I loved that Clark and Lex scene! did you see her face rollin her eyes with Lex talked lol
haha as soon as Lex left she opened up with Clark...I love it...finially some trust issues will be resolved between those too hopefully! and real friendship can reside."
I think she'll find out soon...she has to...
