Yeah it's about time... damn it only took loosing his father (J Kent), Jor-El (and the rest of the Kryptonian race) and Raya (who died) to make him believe it.

That Jor El was a great humanitarian who sent his only son to earth to protect us (making Kal El a savior, as Jor El was on Krypton, not a tyrant) from certain self-annihilation.
Clark no longer views Krypton from an outsider’s perspective; he’s no longer mistrustful of what he no longer views as an alien race. He finally accepts Krypton as his home. He no longer judges all Kryptonians by the actions of the misanthropic few who’ve visited earth. His short time with Raya has taught him to pursue his destiny, a path he now equates with his true identity. He will now begin thinking of his “Clark Kent” persona as a cover for who he really is.
Lana is toughening up as a result of being with Lex. The orphaned child vulnerability has been replaced with a seasoned cunning. Her repeated brushes with Krypto-freaks, alien beings, catastrophic meteor showers, possession, witchcraft, sororities, etc, have finally paid dividends. She’s a woman now. Her relationship with Lex won’t last but Lana’s character will evolve. In the end, she’ll find out who Clark really is.
Okay, everybody chime in, what other revelations surfaced during “Fallout”?

yea I liked the fact that clark actually startin to accept his destiny and even miss havin the memories of his race.If anythin he seemed to accept tha fact tonight that bein diff doesn't mean he's alone(Since he has fam/friends),and he has alot to learn.I enjoyed raya fussin at him about not trainin/needin to know certain things.Plus I thought clark seem to take charge this episode,he seems to be growin

Yeah, Raya chewing him a little bit about not completing his training to save this world he holds so dear was absolutely instrumental.

Now, if the writers will only keep him from running to Lana and let him try to save the rest of the world. Maybe the rest of the world will be a little more greatful. I am hoping that Clark retrieving the box has something to do with lex and clark becoming enemies rather than Lana being the cause

I think you covered the really big ones... but Jimmy Olsen really does have the makings of a great journalist and Chloe IS his girl! :)
I'm so excited about Clark embracing his destiny. I'm in the process of watching this episode again but is this what started to turn the fortress white again? Clark embracing his destiny. B/c if so, that reminds me of clapping to make Tinkerbell well. LOL!

and that was a fantastic post! This is why I love Smallville!

I heard alot of "talk" from the BDA, but honestly until I see him act on it, I'm not buying into this new and improved Clark. As good as it was to finally hear him wanting to embrace his destiny, lets be real, this is still Smallville. The writers are gonna put this on the back burner until the finale, where we'll probably get like one scene of progression, but then it'll be right back to square one in the premiere, as usual....Here's to hoping I'm wrong.

I don't want him to say that he is going to accept his destuny. I want him to accept his destiny. Just do it.

Well, if he continues to look for the other phantoms, then that means that he is accepting his destiny. I just hope that he does go to Jor-El along the way. I don't want Clark to spend the entire seasons looking for the phantoms and not go to Jor-El at all. I'd like to see some positive Clark/Jor-El development this season.

LOL
You know...just his father (J Kent) ALONE, should have made him want to be a hero. He was raised by such kind, loving, people I'm not sure why he wouldn't have actively pursued that, instead of just saving his friends.
But hey, I'm happy Clark just actually accepted it..saying he'll get all the Zoners even if he kills them? Sweet

So there are 3 zoners left apparently so maybe he can off them quickly this season and get to the training.

I'm with you on this one, myankskent.
We've seen Clark trust Jor-El a little bit already, but it would be nice to see them connect like father and son as well as teacher and student.
I would like to think that Clark's interaction with Raya will help further his reliance on Jor-El as someone who can understand him in a way that nobody else can.
Yea for Clark stepping up :)

The only problem being is they keep having these freakin story arc's that really dilute the storyline that is Superman AKA Clark Kent.
But still, let's hope!
