I'm a bit confused about Braniac, too. Unless he was able to transfer himself to some other computer/hard-drive before the box was destroyed, then that means Smallville's version of Braniac is gone for good. It's possible (and happens all the time in the comics) that another Braniac could still arise in Clark's future, though.
