I'm trying to start a new thread that is added to the ones at the top. What would you have changed in hindsight to make Fallout better and what misses opportunities did you find where TPTB could have done things differently or added something?

Post here.

Clark should fly. He won't, but he should.

I don't think they should have killed Raya this soon. We got to see something we haven't since Kara appeared (and that was incomplete) and now it's gone. I'm hoping she's still around and just hiding to help propel Clark to accept his destiny and then pop out later on this season.

An opportunity they missed was having Lex at the end of the episode finding the other piece of the black box, unknown to Lana and have an evil smirk on his face. I think that would have been a great way to end the episode right after Clark said he's done running. It would have been a great way to show how Clark is finally headed towards his destiny and how Lex continues to head towards his, and most importantly how Lex is a huge reason for Clark's destiny.

Besides that, I think this episode was solid. The first half could have used more action, but it was a decent buildup to the rest of it.

Well Jor-El supposedly kept Kara in stasis or whatnot in Covenant for what, 15 years after she supposedly "dies" from the meteor shower. and that was just his outpost cave, I bet the cold weather combined with the FoS can keep Raya in a microwavable container ready for an emergency.

1.) Keep Raya around. I would have turned her into Smallville's version of Supergirl, but I guess DC might have some limitations on that.

2.) Something better than another silly crystal to defeat an enemy.

I do think the crystal thing is getting old.

Somehow, I doubt we saw the last of Raya. It's too early in the season. I think there is a lot more about her character's history with Jor-El that we have to find out.

More Clark, or did anyone notice he was present in about 4 minutes of the first half hour.

Les Lex and Lana they overdue it. They just aren't that interesting.

Clark has no real plot or interaction with anyone. He needs more, and it's sad if this is the last season, because they've taken all of his screen time and story away.

They should have extended the fight in Clark's barn, and they should have kept Raya alive.

a few scenes showing the mayhem and destruction Baern is doing to build up his power

I think the Lex & Lana 'ship must end. It was very depressing. It made no sense how anyone like Lana could want to be with Lex.

One thing we did learn though is that Lionel's "Power" has nothing to do with re-powering the FOS since that's already been done. And we learned that the black box could power up Baern so much that he could wipe out a continent. This means that the missing piece of the box also has a lot of power, which is what Lionel is seeking. I guess this is an opportunity that is opened up for future episodes.

Another missed opportunity was Chloe asking Raya questions about Krypton that Clark wouldn't. Someone as curious as Chloe would be very interested, especially when she had the chance to ask someone who actually remembers Krypton.

I wasn't aware there was another piece of the "black box". Didn't Clark destroy it in the first episode?

He split it in 2. I doubt half of it would vaporize while the other half would remain intact. I'm certain either Lionel or Lana has it. Maybe Lionel due to his research on Kryptonian "Power" symbols and how we learned that the black box is a great power source from Fallout.
