From the trailer last week,and the promo pics,I thought they would myself even tho I knew she would die.I'm actually suprise tptb didn't have clark this lil horney alien since he thinks he's so alone.So actually not kissin her is a suprise to me,I think tptb did a goodjob tonight.This episode showed alot imo

Yeah, it's amazing how good a storyline can be between a guy and girl on this show when there are no romantic intentions involved. It seems that whenever TPTB decide to make something romantic, they screw it up. But there was nothing romantic between Clark and Raya and bingo, excellent episode between two characters that worked well together onscreen, IMO.

I agree from the promo pics and the trailer I feared they would tho,and when he introduced raya to chloe.I saw the girls first reaction to each other and I was ahh Shhh here we go,but it was cut short and they got back to bizzness.So I'm actually glad they didn't have clark show any interest in anyone tonight,cause it was better wit him focusin on his destiny.Raya served her purpose imo by puttin the thoughts in clark head how much jor-el sacrafice/how much they r alike(The selfishness lol).Tho I hope clark does keep goin down this path I agree,it was cool that tptb actually didn't try to play up any feelings from clark tonight.And hey no clexana tension either o I'm real happy about this episode.It beat out Zod/Arrow imo which I enjoyed alot :D .Now if only tptb can stay consistent and have the rest go as smoothly(Which may be hard for AlMiles,but I'll take what I can get if its like fallout :lol: )

I was thinking that Raya might be healed by the fortress when it starts up again and maybe it could heal her. Then there's a possibility of a clark and raya kiss.

yea but after seein their interaction tonight I dont think I would want to see it now.At first I expected it so it was cool,but seein them together was great without clark bein in heat over here.So even if the Fortress healed her she still doesn't need to kiss clark.They actually did better imo without any feelings involved besides the luv/knowledge of their race

The more Kryptonians I see, the more I get a feel for their culture. They remind me of very big-hearted Vulcans (Star Trek). They have a lot of love and emotion inside, they appreciate beauty and art and knowledge... but outwardly they seem cold and hard. I loved watching Clark hang out with Raya.

I'm starting to see the things about Clark that were very Kryptonian all along... and also how being raised on earth has made him more human.

I was expecting more romance... but, while Clark may have eventually been open to it... Raya's heart belongs to Jor-el. That resulted in something deeper and ultimately better. Real companionship. I think in a way, Clark's just needed to have a heart to heart talk with a kind Kryptonian for a long time. LOL!

I loved Raya. It was really fun.

yeah that sucked... I called it at the beginning of the ep that she would die. almiles never leave cool characters around for long.

She would've been really helpful to Clark, but nope- they make her die.

That's why I say the heck with love triangles & 'ships on this show (at least between the regular cast). This is an excellent example. I hope all angst at least on Clark's part is now gone.

I am glad that there was no romance between Clark and Raya and the focus stayed on him and his 'destiny.' I hope Raya stays dead although I am wondering about the ramifications of the fortress 'coming to life' with regards to her. On the other hand, that would mean Clark left her corpse there, which would be a bit disturbing (unless he buried her under the fortess).:confused:

They did not have to kill raya in this episode, they could have dragged it out, but they did not and I think that is because they are going to lois and clark.

Since there was no romance between them I don't think Clois had anything to do with her death.

I liked Raya and her scenes with Clark. Her death did not have to do with Clois but to push Clark to accept his destiny IMO.
