Based on the Director's Cut it's probably going to be a 1 or 2. But hopefully the rest of the episode will be better, and he'll pull out at least a 3 (average) performance.

Can you imagine Bow Wow saying Kal-El. If he is a kryptonian too he won't sound right. He's going to sound all corny. Then again it's not like he can talk hip or speak ebonics anyway on Smallville. He's not going to be like "Yo' Kal-El I got beef wit' you and that Raya chick!" That wouldn't sound right either now that I think about it. He's better off doing what he's doing. I hope he does a 4 or 4 and a half. I can't wait to see Triplet's Review on this episode, I love her reviews, they're so honest.

He wasn't the best, but about average.. I'd give him 3 stars. And most of his acting hasn't been 'ebonics', so the assumptions because he's a black rapper seem rather out of place...

I agree he did much better than I expected honestly. He's also like 18 or 19 and without much experience, given that I give him a 4

Bow Wow was great in "Like Mike", so I knew he knew how to act.

There was nothing wrong with his performance and suspected from the very beginning he would do fine -- and he did. I honestly don't know why everyone was so pessimistic. I give him 3.5 stars out of five. I think he should have been a bit more...imposing, but he isn't as tall as Clark so that would be tough. Overall, a good job.

As for Tori Spelling...well, I think she will do fine as well. After all, she is going to be a gossip columnist and I think that suits her. Batista is looking good as well, especially that shot of him holding Clark in the air.

The ebonics thing bothered me. It would have been better off if you started like that and he changed to a different way of speaking. Because that wasn't really acting.

I'm down for using slang and I guess you could play it off as Baern picking up things from being here for 6 weeks. However, I wish they would go a little more into the "possessed" thing. Does the zoner retain the memory of the host? Maybe that could explain it.

He was radioactive. I would think that if anyone got close enough they'd die of radiation sickness before nausea. :)

yea he did better than I expected,I was upset when I first heard of him starrin,but he did good.Not great but not bad either he was a better zoner imo than gloria(Who had potential but wither was jus bad all around).I actually wish they would have had him talk real demonic like he did at first/and wit raya,that effect was cool imo.But I'd give him a 3.5 tho he did good,jus wished we could have saw a longer fight cause the effects of his powers were great

I think id give him a 3.75 cause its not exactly 3 and a half and not exactly a 4. He was pretty good for an amateur actor. He only has what, The fast and the furious 3 under his belt as an acting portfolio. So this is new for him so hes done well for himself. I think, by the way it looks, with this and the fast and furious 3, that hell do well in acting.

anyways..

Being that I remember Bow Wow from when he was first signed to Death Row Records (Yes, you heard me, an 8 year old was signed to the most notorious gangsta rap label lol) and seeing him growing up the way I did it doesn't surprise me that he landed this role. He is transitioning heavy into a young adult sex symbol and aa role on a teen drama like Smallville was probably his best move since leaving So So Def..

Acting wise he was good. Nothing over the top and nothing corny. He played the part smooth. He isn't gonna win any awards for this but this is a good move fafter roll bounce. I would say 4/5

I thought Bow Wow played Baern pretty well. However my only gripe is that he doesnt have a deep enough voice to sound threatening. I would have gotten Nick Cannon instead, but Bow Wow held up much better than I had intitially expected. Now I'm rooting for him :)

I thought about Nick Cannon too, but he is more funny than serious. I cant really picture him being a bad guy. Bow wow has that rap persona so he carried it better in my opinion.

I thought Bow Wow got robbed when he didn't get an Oscar nomination for "Like Mike". Maybe now that he isn't 'Lil anymore, he will be taken more seriously as a true thespian. ;)

well technically speaking, his first true major, major movie which brought attention to his acting is The Fast and The furious 3. I mean i dont know about you but thats the only movie i see with Bow Wow in it. The other ones...well i dont think they helped Bow Wow.
