Heroes is moved to Thrusday at the same time of Smallville which one you would choose to Watch if this happened

My answer

I would watch Smallville because I have been watching it over since it started and Smallville is not far from saying Goodbye, well on the other hand Heroes has just started and it seems like it has a long way to go.

I love Heroes, but Smallville would win by a landslide. I would "get" Heroes as well. Heck, you can watch it for free on nbc.com eventually anyways.

Smallville would take first place. But I'd watch Heroes too... I could buy it from itunes... or watch it on nbc.com. Heroes hasn't gotten so good that I just HAVE to sit and watch it. I can't miss Smallville!

i love u tom

Probably watch one and tape the other, changing so that some weeks I'd watch Smallville and tape Heroes, and another week do the other way around.

I love Smallville because I love Superman ... but Heroes really has this show beat. That show is so good it's insane!

But I would never give up my Smallville completely. Just have to make other arrangements to watch them both.

Smallville, hands down. I like heroes and everything, but when i miss an episode, it doesn't bother me. But if i missed smallville, i would be devistated! I never miss smallville. in fact, on days when i have to work on thursdays, i call both my sister and my mom to make sure they are both recording it, so there is no way i could miss it.

I'd watch Smallville and TIVO Heroes, cause I TIVO them both anyway now. I have class during Heroes so I haven't watched it live yet. My only issue would be I wouldn't have Smallville on TIVO :(

I think that if Heroes were moved to Thursdays at 8 it would kick Smallville's butt, just like My Name Is Earl and The Office is doing right now. Without turning this into a "SV's jumped the shark" thread, I just have to say the only thing you could put in that slot that wouldn't beat Smallville is probably Vanished. I don't think anyone's watching that. Seriously, SV's ratings suck (thanks a lot, CW!)

For the record, I personally would watch SV. I hate Heroes.

i'd do what i'm doing now......record both shows and watch them both whenever it's most convenient for me. DVR rules.

I have watched Smallville from the beginning and would finish it out. I still have a VCR though (that's the machine that was out before DVD for you young folks) and record Heroes so I wouldn't miss it. I like Smallville because it's Superman but Heroes is fresh and it is different... Well, even though I think it is somewhat of a knock-off to the X-Men but with all the superheroes in fiction today, how original can you get?

Before I would have said Smallville but now....I would watch Heroes and tape Smallville and watch it later, or watch Smallville later on since we have satellite, so it would be on 3 hours later.
I can't beileve I said I would watch Heroes over Smallville  Wow never thought I would say that

Pass it around!;)

I would watch Heroes first and watch a taped Smallville later. But I would have the TV on in the other room to help the ratings. I think the CW needs to put the show on the net. It works out for all the other shows out there. Why are they being so creedy with that one show? You think you would get more advertising that way!

You otta have created a vote on this one....!!

Personaly.....I would watch Smallville...though..I agree that heroes is much more exciting and nerve wrecking than SV...but logically..I would watch SV first...and emotionally also..I lovee Tom!!!

But heroes, I oculd always go and watch on nbc.com the other day.....In case of SV..its not possible..!!!!

(dunno what kind of digital channel is CW)

SV's much snazzier than Heroes...I watched two epis of Heroes and I thought it was really boring and weird...

Its that third ep that will get you!

smallvilleobsessor17
04-25-2007, 02:53 PM
Haha...usually I'm hooked by the second epi of a show, sometimes even the first one. However, when I watched Heroes I found myself not at all interested and spacing out most of the time.

I said in another post one time that I almost didnt watch past the second ep, but it was that third ep where Heroes became my crack. I cant live with out it now!

Now if they were both at season one, that would be hard to decide.

Smallville. And if TPTB stop trying to reinvent the myth completely cause they have God complexes..and stick to the story of a beloved character for the last 70 years that's managed to keep a few fans...no contest. Don't get me wrong, I watch Heroes and I like it but I'm passionate about SV. There would be no Heroes if the story of Smallville was never told many years ago...

Heroes isn't really based on Superman at all, in fact it really has nothing to do with SUpes, and everything to do with X-Men.

But anyway, I would watch Smallville for the sole reason that you can watch Heroes online, while you can't with Smallville. I like Hereos better, but if you miss one episode of SV, you can't see it anywhere else.

Well, Smallvilles quality has varied ALOT. And while the beginning of the last season was realy great, and the season before that excellant, the last of the season was not realy that great. In contrast, there has not been a single poor quality episode of heroes.

Now, it is true that Heroes is available online after the premeire of an ep. But honestly, unless the episode of smallville either A. Was a major episode of the season, advancing the metaplot, or B. focused around one of my favorite characters, ie Chloe, I'm still gonna watch heroes, and catch smallville when the reruns start. If its a fotw ep, than heroes wins by far.

i love them both!! i would end up watching smallville on the regular time and watch heroes earlier. yay for satiellite!

I will say this that without Smallville, Heroes may not have been made. Smallville has shown everyone how to have a character have great powers without him or her having to wear a costume and have that same character have stories done about him or her in the modern day with modern concepts.

My point was NOT that Heroes was a Superman knockoff in ANY way shape or form ala Prime, Supreme Power, Sentry, Gladiator, etc BUT that the story of SUPERMAN first told within the setting of Smallville many many years ago (now being retold obviously on TV) created the concept of the "superhero" which spawned pretty much EVERY hero since including everything from Spidey to TMNT to HEROES..... get it???

At this point, I would definetely choose Heroes over Smallville. Smallville is losing its luster for me. With mediocre storylines and addition of too many characters it's no longer holding up. Heroes on the other hand as many characters but with them interesting storylines and a consistent pace. The characters are easily juggled and not convoluted. The stories have good pace and stay interesting from episode to episode. The villains are real and the suspense from each plot twist to another is something I really enjoy. If Heroes were to be changed to Thursday nights hypothetically, then I would choose Heroes.

I'd just dvr them both. They're both good, just in different ways. Smallville has clark, and heroes has their superman: Peter Petrelli! with hereos we get to see what smallville would look like with a gigantic budget. we get to see how flight, should be done, and we get more characters. That being said, smallville is on it's 7th season , so with the strike possibly shortening both these show's season arcs, which will suffer the most? Heroes!
