Glad to hear Raya coming outta Clark's mouth with enthusiasm. Bring her on! Clark needs to move on (far away from Lana) and have Raya parading around so Lois can get a little jealous.

Who else thought that this episode was done so we don't think GA is so great. In the end, you know why Lois ends up with Clark. He's the better man. There's a dark side to Ollie.

Seriously, what does it say about Lois when she dates the whole Justice League. Kind of reminds me of cheerleaders that dated the entire Football team or close enough. Okay - that really wasn't meant to offend every cheerleader. Just the ones I went to high school with.

True but I dont think raya will bring out the jealousy in lois,maybe chloe since raya will spend more time wit clark in fallout but not lois.I do agree about lois noticin later on clarks a better man,and oliver havin a darkside but its also obvious he's workin on it.So I dont fault him for that,but raya will probably lead to a fallout wit chlark I'm guessin.Cause I'm bettin on chloe not trustin raya that much,yet we all kno clark will trust any female that he's attracted too :lol:

I agree. If jealousy at all, then from Chloe's side. It's about time, I think - she seems to have completely forgotten about the BDA.

I think CK needs an adult realtionship, not necessarly romantic, but certainly an adult one where he can be himself completley with someone that understands his unique set of circumstances.

Actually, I was thinking Raya might very well be Clark's cousin Kara Zor-El. If you think about it, that's the only real way she could have all the known information of Jor-El like that. Plus in the comics she already was a teenager at the time Krypton exploded.

I think she was originally good, but I think after being in the Phantom Zone she has changed somewhat. Spending all that time in that environment has to do a number on somebody...

Plus, she talked to the 2 kryptonians from the ship as if there was some level of trust between them...?

Raya is the assistant of Jor-El who he sent to PZ to escape the destruction of Krypton. She found CK face down in the PZ and helped him escape. I think she can still go either way.

here's my short take on the RAYA character (hope this won't be construed as 'spoiler' or 'rumor') but I think RAYA maybe an inside person that conspired with ZOD and his troops of evil doers. She was an assitant of Jor-EL, but was caught as a spy and sent to PZ. Her interest in helping CK restore the fortress was an attempt to release ZOD again, but she will fail.

No her body did not age but emothally yes she did. Look at her a a immortal, they still age even if their body doesn't. So yeah she old enough to be his mom.

If you think back to Superman 1 the movie - Jor-El said in the FOS to Clark "By your reckoning I would have been dead for thousands of your earth years..." (something like that). So who knows how old Raya is.

Regarding her survival in the next episode - I am quite certain she will be killed by the villian in next weeks story - judging by the screen caps - it looks like Clark gets a good kick in - and Raya will probably die trying to save Clark.

Sad but most probable.

This is part of the story is where some inconsistency appears. Jor-El was on earth in the 60's, fell in love with Lana's great aunt, went back to Krypton. Then lets' fast forward to about 1985, about the time of the first meteor shower and arrival of baby Kal-El. Unless the Kryptonians have time travelling technology and the ship the took Kal-El to Earth can travel 10000x the speed of light, the math just doesn't add up. Krypton was established to be tens of thousands of light years distance from the earth, and debris from Krypton would have to be travelling only at 25,000 mph, way too slow for it to reach earth in a few thousand years. But Sci-fi being what it is, everything is possible.

well can you really predict what TPTB will do? and how they will run with raya? i will answer that. no. so the possiblities are left to our imaginations until next week. but only the spoilers tell us that she helps clark fix the FOS, and thats it. so start the daydreaming :)

This is something I don't want to see happen. The fortress is meant for him and his family only. I want him to be motivated enough to fix it himself. And he shouldn't trust her. The last time he trusted anyone with an agenda that's still up in the air (as Lex said of Fine in Oracle), he got burnt badly by Fine in Solitude. Raya could be evil and may have known that she would get sucked out of the PZ as long as she helped a member of the El family out.

She can become the female version of Jason Teague & Adam Knight (whose true colors were revealed to be opposite of what they initially appeared).

You know I think Raya is good for the most part, but being good and being able to live among humans are 2 different things, she could misbehave or put others at risk.

But Clark will care for her even if she makes mistakes just like he did with Alicia. In the end, I bet she realizes she doesn't belong and puts her life in harms way to protect Clark.

^^I know Raya is without doubt probably going to get killed off, I still think it would be interesting though to see Clark interact with another kryptonian and have a relationship with her. To me the worst thing they could do would be to make her evil. I really hope that she is *not* evil.

Regardless of her destiny, she won't last. I read they almost couldn't get her for this episode cuz of her schedule. I think her purpose will be to clue in clark on how to revive the FOS, and to prod him on to taking another step toward embracing his heritage.

Add in the eye candy factor and we have a watchable episode. :-)

Raya doesn't, though, because she wasn't raised by humans. Maybe she will have the same idea of his destiny as Jor-el, that Clark is meant to be a ruler on Earth, even if a benevolent one. Clark would reject that and be left to forge his own destiny from a combination of human and Kryptonian aspects.

All in all though I think that she might have been pre-arranged for him to marry at one point. That would give a nicety to the storyline. If not a bit Roswellish.
