first of all, he beat the crap out of him. hes taller than him, and just seems to naturally tower over him. and hes DEFINITELY cooler than him.
to me, lex just suddenly seems powerless and dumb when hes conversing with oliver, unlike his convos with any other character where he is the witty upper-hand holder...does anyone else agree?
thats cuz Lex is a weenie.. hes never been the "Strong" one.. Hes been strong in other ways like black mailing ppl. or threats..

Lex always looks like a wimp. That's my biggest problem with the way that his character is written. I wish he were more like Lionel, but I think that we are starting to see that there is only one Lionel, and unfortunately, Lex won't ever be able to be as evil and cool as him.

Lex has looked more like a wimp and a scared little girl , than a big , bad , and powerful man these past few episodes.

Its the Lana Lang effect, hes in love, so i assume its effecting him. But i agree with myanskent, Lionel Luthor has always been ,and will always be a cooler villian or anti-hero then Lex.

GA is trained in martial arts and many forms of hand to hand combat...he better beat Lex....it should have been a no contest as it was...it was done well...nuff said

I think that it's fair to say that fighting (unless with swords of course...) is NOT one of Lex's strong points. Obviously Oliver is going to have some pretty serious skills in hand to hand combat if he's a crime fighter, especially if he doesn't have powers.
I'm glad that he kicked the crap out of Lex. Lex has this weird idea that he's all high and mighty and the reality is if it doesn't have to do with his checkbook, he really isn't. Oh, and I LOVED how Oliver says "The first one's free, the second will cost you." If you hit someone after they say something like that, you are begging to get your butt whipped.

Oliver is keeping Smallville at a higher standard. He and Clark's interactions are the best on the show.

I was going to be so mad if Lex got more than a punch in  I was thinking to myself while watching that scene: "Ollie, you're a powerless superhero! The least you should be able to do is beat the crap out of a trust-fund kid!"...ok, then I got into the scene some more and was shouting: "YEAH! THATS WHAT IM TALKIN' ABOUT! DOWN WITH BALDIE!!"

YES!
And in addition to that, can anyone remember how many times Lex got shot last season and so far this season. I have counted four or five so far by my reckoning. There has got to be an episode soon that shows the viewers how physically scarred Lex is by now. He's been shot in both arms, the back and in one or two of his legs. I am waiting for him to survive a head wound.
What a wuss!
this was almost as sad as zod beating on clark

I wanted Ollie to kick Lex's butt! Lex needs to get off his high horse, I can't stand him right now....Maybe that's the intention??

(sigh)
Lex is abused yet again.
Olle laid the smackdown on Luthor's candy @$$ and saved his life from Duncan.
Seriously, the way that TBTP shot Justin made it look as if Oliver had superpowers.

Lex *is* supposed to know how to fight. Even in this incarnation, he trained Lana...who has kicked major ass that Lex hasn't.

Lex was never a strong guy.. he always gets beat down by people. Oliver took Lex's glory sneak punch, and went on to own him. If it wasnt for Duncan's glass shattering, Oliver would have easily tossed Lex around like a ragdoll without breaking a sweat.
Man.. been forever since I posted here.
Anyway, I think that's sort of the point. Lex is supposed to just play around with his genius, not brawn. Lex should not get any tougher than they already seemed to have made him, physique-wise.
I must admit I enjoyed watching Queen throw him around and really giving Lex no chance at all. Very well done and in my opinion exactly how it should be.
After all, the Green Arrow is a superhero no matter what people say and superheros should be way above one single young guy.

GA does not have superpowers but is in close to peak-human endurance and strength or at least should. He is also adept in multiple martial arts. He is suppose to closely resemble Batman who is the ultimate man-fighting machine.

Oliver should have kicked him in the nads and said, "go have fun with Lana now, monkey-boy".
then told Clark and said , " now you owe me one".

Your exactly right, I noticed it but didnt think of it at the time. Oliver has Lex bested in wit, power, and looks. He just dominated him in that one scene too, that was sweet.
