Symbols on Lionel's desk papers

Anyone got a screencap of the stuff that was on Lionel's desk? Some of it looked like symbols from the cave, then I'm not sure what the other stuff was...

FRom what i remembered it looked like old photos of various symbols from the caves.

Yeah I just went back on my DVR and he was looking at SYMBOLS from the CAVES. The main one he was looking at was KALEL's/CLARKS,, thats all it really focused on but you can tell the pics were from the cave. How would one obtain screencaps anyway

Lionel had told Martha that he had lost all connection with Jor-El, when in fact, he has not. He maybe low-keying his connection with Jor-El in order to be able to do things to help CK under the guise of still being the old Lionel.

I don't think he's still in contact with Jor-El. Why would he be investigating it if he was?

Jor-El gave Lionel a hint of goodness, and now that he's gone Lionel is back to the MB and he's looking back into the caves as a way to gain power. He's seen what Kryptonians can do (Zod) now he wants the power. It's in his blood. The caves have always been the source of the real MB's obsession.

It's all going to lead to two important things

1.) the destruction of the caves

2.) Lionel's death.

I almost completely agree. At least, I thought-up almost the exact same scenario last night.

The other conclusion I came to is he’s trying to find a way to destroy the black box. Not so much to help Clark, but to save Lex.

Clark, you BDA. You should have x-rayed that book when he closed it. If he doesn't trust him, he should at least check it out.

Well, Clark says that the FoS is quiet, that Jor-El is no longer present. What if Jor-El is now completely inhabitating Lionel at this point? Laying low to more seriously watch Lex and his downward spiral?

I doubt it. He wouldn't have said that Kal-El's destiny is now completely his own to make for a reason.

I think from Jonathan's warning to Clark in Void and from Lionel's past behavior along with his acquired knowledge of Clark's secret, he is moving on to something big. What I would really love is if TPTB create this thing that Lionel is doing as a buildup of a major season 7 plot, and one that ultimately leads to Lionel's death (as much as I don't want to see that, I know it must happen). There is already a lot going on now between the FOS, the blackbox, Lana most likely finding out, the zoners, and that dagger, which still hasn't been mentioned. Plus, Fine may return as well, so I say it's best to develop that Lionel plot now and blast into it in S7 (if there hopefully is one).

I think the FOS is coming back next week with that superman crystal. Perhaps the connection between Lionel and Jor-El will be reactivated too?
