Like, when Lex punched Clark in the face, when he was mortal it diidn't do much to him. But when Clark hit Lex, he went to the ground.

Lex exsists and does what he does ONLY because Clark is such a Boy Scout !

Maybe that is why he has issues with Superman, deep down he knows that, if it wasn't for his superior sense of morals, Lex woudl be pushing up daiysies and this Lex is no different.

That scene at the hospital was truly sad, as if Lex coudl stop Clark is he wanted in, even a mortal Clark.

Yes G A delivedrs the asswhipping Lex deserves but Clark is too much of a wuss to deliver. He set Clark up with Simone, which caused the Lana breakup, and still hasn't paid for it directly.
