Im going to start this one off at the end of "Wither"

While Lex and Lana are enjoying there selves after the halloween party Clark is in his loft threw the tennis ball around.

Lana walks into the Talon suddenly she realizes everyone is starring at her. She wonders what is going on. A woman says to her "So i guess you two really are serious" Huh Lana wonders what is she talking about. Lana doesnt have to wonder anymore when she see the headline for the newspaper titled "Lex and Lana Romance Continues" Lana is very disturbed at this. Then she looks up and sees Clark who is not very happy.

"Clark I can explain" Lana said.

"No thats ok you dont need to explain I want you to be happy" Clark said lying to himself.

"Yes i want to be happy too" Lana said. Knowing that the only person who really made her happy was Clark.

"And you are so" Clark said sadly.

"Umm i have to go" Lana said wanting to go talk to Lex at the mansion. Lana stroms out the Talon angryly wanting to find out how this happened and she will get an explaintion from Lex.

Will she or wont she?

Chapter 1 Here We Go Again

--------Luthor Mansion--------------------------------------------------------

Lana burts into lex's mansion holding the newspaper in one hand. She drops the newspaper on Le's desk right in front of him.

"What is this?" Lana asked madly.

"Lana i can explain" Lex said hoping she would understand.

"No you cant explain" Lana said getting even madder.

Yes I can its just that im a weathly man and they need to know my business" Lex said trying to explain.

"Well they dont need to know our business" Lana said.

"I know that, do you forgive me" Lex asked moving to closer to Lana thinking she would forgive him.

"I dont what to think but as for you and me im threw for today" Lana said. She stromed out of the mansion leaving Lex alone and mad.

------------Kent Farm------------------------------------------------------

"So Clark did you get my cofee for me" asked Martha.

"Yea Mom its right here" as Clark handed her the coffee.

"So did you read the newspaper this morning" Clark asked Martha.

"Oh Clark that must be really hard for you" Martha said wanting to give Clark a hug.

"I just cant believe Lana and Lex out of all the guys in this world she had to pick him." Clark said.

"Well maybe she sees something in Lex that you dont" Martha said trying to reassure Clark.

"Yea maybe but i dont think thats it, i mean I still love Lana" Clark said.

"Well why dont you tell her how you feel" Martha said trying to knock some sense into Clark.

"Its just to hard to explain" clark said.

"Nothing is never hard Clark inless you make it hard" Martha said.

There was a knock at the door.

It was Lana.

Chapter 2 Friends Once Again

Clark and lana walked up the stairs into clarks loft.

"Oh wow i havent been here in ages" lana said.

"Yea i know since you have been with Lex" clark said.

Lana put her head down feeling bad.

"Im sorry" Clark said.

"No thats ok thats would i came here to talk about anyway" Lana said smiling.

"Lana i understand your with Lex now theres no reason for me to be mad" Clark said sadly.

"Yes your right there in no reason for you to be mad but there is reason for me to be mad" Lana said.

"Oh with the newspaper inciddent maybe you should forgive him i mean he didnt do anything wrong" Clark said feeling weird taking up for Lex.

"Oh well i didnt know Clark Kent would take up for Lex Luthor' Lana said smiling and joking.

"Yea well you'd be surprised" Clark said smiling and pleased with his conversation with Lana.

"Listen Clark i didnt mean to hurt you with lex im not even sure if i want to be in a realtionship with him right now but you and i can still be friends" Lana said trying to please Clark.

"Yea id love that" Clark said happily.

Clark and Lana shook hands and started their new fresh friendship.

"Well I guess Ill go now that we have that straightened out" Lana said.

"Yea i have to go soon too" Clark said.

"Well see you around friend" Lana said pleased to say FRIEND.

As Lana left Clark though about how there was still hope for him and Lana. He was just glad they were friends again like it used to be in the good old days. He also hoped she would end it with Lex and he would win her heart back but it seems that Clark is already starting to win Lana's heart back. Will they become something more? Who knows?

There was a knock at the door it was Lana.

"Hey Lana" chole said looking surprised since Lana didnt live there anymore and she was now living with Lex.

"I guess you seen the newspaper too this morning" Lana said knowing the answer was yes.

"Yea sorry about that well what did you tell Lex" Chole asked waiting for an answer.

"I told him that the media doesnt need to know about our business i mean dont want everyone in kansas to know i slept with lex!" Lana said.

"Wait a minute it didnt say you slept with him it just that yall were together oh Lana you didnt"

"Yes i did" Lana said sadly.

"Well when did this happen" Chole asked.

"That night of the Halloween party." Lana said.

All Chole could say was "Wow"

"You know the oddest thing happened today i actually went talk to Clark" lana said.

"Thats a good thing so what happened?" Chole asked now happy that her two best friends became a little bit closer than they were.

"we talked and became friends again" Lana said, happy about this.

"Well thats great"Chole said.

"I just dont know what to do with Lex" Lana said.

"Well maybe you can tell him that you need a break and move back into the dorm" Chole suggested.

"Thats not a bad idea" Lana said.

So will Lana give Lex a break and move back into the dorm? And will this give a chance for Lana and Clark to become closer? Who knows?

Chapter 4 Its My Choice

Lana ariived at the mansion. She had thought about what Chloe had said and thought she would take her advice. She couldnt trust Lex anymore after those two stories in the newspaper.

When Lana walked in Lex thought she was going to forgive him and continue their relationship together. guess he was all wrong.

"Hey lana" Lex said as he got up from his desk and walked over to her.

"Lex i didnt come here to take you back i am came here to get my stuff" lana said in a mean tone.

"Please you do have to go" Lex said.

"Why shouldnt i i cant trust you anymore the only people i can trust right now is chloe and clark" Lana said.

"oh so this about clark" Lex said not surprised.

"No its not about Clark" Lana said.

"Then what is it about" Lex asked.

"Its about you wanting everyone to know im your little play toy and im not and for that i cant trust you" lana said.

"Lana you know i would never hurt you" lex said trying to get her to understand.

"Yes I know but you already did...i just need a break Lex and im getting my things and im leaving" Lana said sadly

"Lana you dont have to do this" Lex said not wanting to let her go.

Lana had left the mansion leaving Lex standing there alone. he had know knew he had lost Lana to Clark.

So did he lose Lana to Clark? And what will Lex do if that happens? Who knows?

Chapter 5 Lonilness
-----Clarks Loft------------------------------------------------------------

Clark was standing in his loft gazing out into the sky thinking about his life. He was thinking about Jor-El, the phantom zone,Lana, his mom and Lionel, and even Lex. When suddenly a fimilar voice called his name. It was Lana he had wondered what was she doing here but besides that he was happy to see her.

"Hey Lana im surprised to see you here" Clark said hoping not to upset her.

"Yea well cant I see a friend" Lana said.

"Yea sure" Clark said happily.

"Well i just wanted to tell you that i gave Lex a break and im moving back in with Chloe so things will be different" lana explained.

"So what made you give Lex a break" Clark asked waiting for an answer.

"Its just that he's been lieing to me and you know how i fell about being lied to" Lana said.

"Yea i guess i do since you cant trust me" Clark said sadly.

Lna turned around and said "Clark its not that i dont trust you its just you wont let me in" Lana said.

"Lana i cant let you in for several reasons you know that" Clark said.

"Yea i guess i do...i just dont what to do anymore" Lana said sadly.

"Its just that you wont let me in and lex has been lieing to me" Lana said sadly.

Clark walked towards her and hugged her and she continued to hug him. Clark loved being there for Lana he had missed the smell of her hair and she had missed how safe she felt with him.

But someone was standing at the bottom of the stairs watching them.

Hm I wonder who was watching them? and what will that person do? Who knows?

Chapter 6 Better Than me

It was Lex standing at the bottom of the barn. He got so angry when Lana and Clark hugged. He thought to himself the only reason she gave me a break was so she could go running to Clark. Lex couldnt take seeing Lana and Clark hug so he left before anyone saw him.

Finally Clark and Lana let go of each other. Lana responed with "Thanks" since she had her mind somewheres else. Clark responed back with "Your welcome"

"You know Clark you are always here when i need soemone" Lana said.

"Yea well i guess thats what im here for" Clark said.

"Yea well i guess you can never know what happens each day of your life. I mean i would have never guessed lex would do that to me." Lana said.

"Yea well i would never trust lex for one second even though i used to be best friends with him" clark said.

"Yea what happened to yall friendship anyway" Lana said wondering.

"Well he became a person in my life i didnt know anymore and i found out he lied to me" Clark said.

"Yea well i guess thats the problem with Lex" Lana said wanting to know what Lex did to Clark but didnt have the courage to ask him.

"Yea" clark said.

"Well i guess i'll be going i inda have to do some unpacking at the dorm" Lana said.

"Well do you need some help i can come by later" Clark asked hoping the answer was yes.

"Yea that would be great cause me and chloe wont get anything done" Lana said happy that Clark said.

Lana left leaving with a smile on her face. Clark continued to look at the sky.

Chapter 7 Secrets

Chloe and Lana were unpacking Lana's things since she had decided to move back into the dorm. She thought this was really the best choice for her instead of staying with lieing Lex. chloe and lana hadnt did much unpackin since they were gladly waiting on clark to come help them but they both knew he would be there to help them with anything.

"So i see you have been much happier now that you given Lex a break and became friends with Clark again" Chloe said knowing that Lana was happier since lana got rid of Lex.

"Yea you know Clark has been there for me and i appreciate that and lex was just slowing me down from things i wanted to do in my life" Lana said.

"Yea im always here for you lana when you need to talk" Chloe said reassuring lana.

"Yea you and clark both are" lana said

"As a matter of fact where is clark he shouldve been here 10 minutes.

"Well im not that late am i" clark said as he was walking into the door.

"Finally!" Chloe and Lana both said.

"i told you id be here didnt i" Clark said with a smile on his face.

"Yea but you never said anything about being late" lana said smiling.

"Yea i know i just had to do some thinking" Clark said.

"About what" Lana asked.

"Everything" Clark responded.

"I guess thats how Clark Kent is" Lana said.

"I agree on that one" Chloe said.

"Well lets get started" Clark said.

Lex was sitting at his desk depressed. he couldnt stand Clark and lana hugging. He knew Lana had still loved Clark. He wanted lana to know that he'd be there for her. He didnt want to loose Lana to Clark but he knew he had already had. Lex decided to look into his secret room of Clark. He was obssessed. About 2 years ago Clark had found out about this room which didnt go well. He had told Clark that he had got rid of it but that was another one of his lies he still has it. lex knew there was something unusual about Clark. In a way he knew that kryptonite hurt him.

Chapter 8: Jealous


Lex wanted to shut Clark out of his life completely but it didnt seem like that was happeing. Everything reminded him of Clark even Lana.He couldnt believe that he tried to help Clark win lana back when she was with Jason. Even though he had won Lana himself now he lost her to Clark and he cant get her back. Inless he hurts of kills Clark but he thought to himself hes not that evil. And he wouldnt want Lana to hate him for killing Clark because she would know that he did it. Even lex lost Lionel to Clark but he really didnt care. He knew Lionel could trust Clark more than he could trust him which wasnt that great. The point is Clark has done nothing for Lex and it was time for Lex to step up.

Lex looked around the room full of Clark. He always wondered how Clark saved him for the car accident. The only thing Lex came up with was that Clark has super powers. And Lex had the thing that could hurt Clark the most Kryptonite and Lex knew this about Clark. So Lex turned off the lights and locked the door to his secret room and began to think about how he would get his life back once and for all.

Meanwhile at Lana and Choles dorm things were coming along as planned. Clark had been a big help and Lana appreciated this.

"Wow were finished Clark" said happy now that he didnt have anything else to do.

"Whew i know thanks for all your help" Clark lana said.

"Why are yall so tired yall didnt do anything" Clark said smiling.

"Well thats why we asked to help us" Lana said laughing and smiling at clark.

"So I see all yall do is use" Clark said.

"Yeap so you better get used of it" Chloe said laughing.

There was a knock at the door Lana answered it. It was Lex. Lex was surprised to Clark there now he was getting angry. He knew one day he would run into and he guessed it was today. For some reason Lex had a feeling Clark would be there when Lex needed to speak to Lana alone.

"Lex what are you doing here" Clark asked knowing what the answer was already.

"I just came here to Lana and it doesnt concern you Clark" lex said scarcasticly.

"Well what do you need to talk about Lex" Lana interrupted.

"Can we talk alone" Lex asked.

"Why cant you say whatever you need to say in front of Clark and Chloe" Lana asked.

"Well its not that important we can discuss it some other time" Lex said lieing because he wanted to talk to Lana not in front of Clark or Chloe so he backed down.

"Then why did you come here Lex" Lana said angryily.Lana hated when Lex wasted her time.

"Just thought we could catch up on old times" Lex said as an excuse not knowing what else to say.

"Its a little late for that Lex i have friends and that doesnt include you"Lana said happy knowing that Clark and Chloe has her back.

"Well whenever you need something you know you can always count on me" Lex said hoping Lana wouldnt be mad at her.

Lex walked out of the room.Thinking to himself i just made the situation worse. Now she hates me even more. And Clark is always there protecting her and Chloe is right beside Clark. I guess some things will never change Lex thought to himself but then a lot will change for Clark he thought.

"Why does Lex have to do that" Lana said wondering to herself.

"I think we all dont get Lex" Clark said.

"Yea i wondered what he wanted to talk to be about and why he couldnt say it in front of you two" Lana said.As Lana said this Clark wondered maybe he wants Lana back or maybe he knows about me. Clark didnt like the sound of that.Clark knew he couldnt let Lex tell Lana and besides if anyone told Lana about Clark Clark wanted to be the one to tell her.But that wont be happening anytime soon.

"I dont know Lex is Lex" Chloe said.

Clark wanted to know what Lex was up to.

"Well i think ill get back to the farm i have some work to do"Clark said looking towards the door.

"Ill call you later alright Clark"Chloe said starting to now wonder what Lex had to tell Lana.Each one of them was thinking about Lex had to tell Lana but not one really knew except for Clark. Clark left the dorm instead of heading home he headed for Lex's mansion.

Chapter 10:The Room is still there

When Clark got to the mansion Clark noticed Lex wasnt there.So he decided he'd look around. He had noticed a crack in one door so he decided to go check it out.Clark has noticed this room it look very fimilar.When he walked inside he found nothing but everything about him.Clark thought Lex had got rid of this room.Clark knew it Lex was obssessed with him.He looked around the room and saw green kyrptonite he decided to back away.Now he knew what Lex was up to Lex wanted to tell Lana about his secret and kill him with kryptonite.But Clark now hated Lex even more because Lex kept this room.Now Clark had to get away before Lex got home.As Clark turned around he saw Lex in the doorway.

"This room is off limits Clark"Lex said angryly.

"Well you shouldve got rid of this room a long time ago"Clark said.

"You know with all the secrets and lies you tell I had no choice but to keep it"Lex said.

"I dont have any secrets lex"Clark said now getting mad.

"Well I think you do, how did you get in here anyway?"Lex asked wanting to know the answer.

"Maybe you need better security"Clark said.

"Maybe I do but you have no reason to be in here"Lex said coldly.

"Well maybe I do or maybe I dont but this whole room is about me"Clark said heading for the door.

"Thats right it is oh and say hey to Lana for me"Lex said.

"Oh and stay away from Lana Lex"Clark said as he left.

"And what if I dont"Lex said just as Clark left but Clark didnt hear him.

Lex thought if Clark ever did try to hurt him he would always have kryptonite on hand to hurt Clark even more.

Chapter 11: Surprise

When Clark got back home to the Kent farm he noticed his mother arranging plans and asked "Mom what are you doing?"
Martha answered back "Oh nothing you know just thinking of having a Christmas party." Clark had a surprised look on his face and said "Oh really and who is coming to this Christmas party?"
Martha stopped writting and looked up and said"Oh you know Chloe,Lana,Lois,and Lionel I guess"

"As long as Lex isn't coming im ok with it" Clark said. Just as Clark said Lex's name Martha asked "So how was your meeting with Lex?" "You know that secret room he had of me" Clark asked. "Yea what about it?" Martha asked. "Well he still has it."Clark said making a straight face.

"Well I Guess you can never trust Lex I mean he has lied to you many times before." Martha explained. "Yea it feels like he's planning to do something but i cant figure out what yet." Clark said and as he was saying this Lana approached the door.

Clark seen this and went open the door for her abanding his conversation with his mom.

"Hey Lana." Clark said. "Um chloe said i could probably find you here" Lana said sounding urgent. "Is everything ok?"Clark said. "Yea everything is fine cant i just talk to you clark." Lana said with a smile.Clark also put a smile on his face. They walked out the house and left martha alone so she could continue planning the Christmas party since chrstmas was only a few days away.

They finally got to Clarks loft."Alright im not going to lie to you Lana I went to Lex's." Clark said. "Oh looks like Clark Kent cant keep secrets anymore." Lana said smiling but after she continued and added "Why did you go to Lex's?"

"To find out what he wanted" Clark answered back. "Well did you find out?"Lana asked waiting for an answer. "No when i got there he wasnt home so i came straight here."Clark said. "Oh i guess we'll never know what Lex wants and I really dont care about him or it right now." Lana said strongly. There was an akward silence until Clark spoke. "So you doing anything for christmas eve?" "Um no why?" lana asked with a smile.

"I was thinking we can take a road trip down to Paulina, Louisiana to see the bonfires on the levee i heard its pretty."Clark said. "Just you and me no one else?" Lana asked happily."Yeap." Clark said with a big smile. "Ok I'll think about it." Lana said. "And you're also invited to our chrstmas party." Clark said.

"Looks like ill be spending christmas eve and christmas with you Clark."Lana said with a smile. They both had smiles on their face."Are you going back to MetU?" Clark asked. "Um yea why?" Lana asked. "Cause i need a ride back is it ok if i ride back with?" Clark asked.

"Yea Clark its more than ok." Lana said. "Well im leaving right now." Lana said. "Alright lets go." Clark said. They left his loft and got in Lana's SUV and headed back to MetU.


I used the idea with the bonfire cause i live in paulina, louisiana and my family has a bonfire on the levee and we light on christmas eve and pop fireworks. Christmas eve is a blast for me.

Chapter 12: Caught in the act



So when Lana and Clark got back to the dorm they were surprised when they walked in and saw Chloe and Jimmy making out. Chloe and Jimmy stopped as they saw Clark and Lana. “Maybe we should leave.” Clark suggested. “Yea maybe that’s a good idea.” Chloe said with a trembling voice. Clark turned towards Lana and signaled her to leave. As they left they shut the door behind them. “Um maybe next time we should knock.” Lana said laughing a little bit.

“Yea maybe we should but I mean Chloe saw you and me making out one time.” Clark said. “She did? She never told me.” Lana asked looking at Clark. “Yea but that was when we first got together.” Clark said looking down at the ground. “Oh I have to admit I miss those days Clark.” Lana said sadly.

“I know I do to some nights I stand in my loft wondering what it would be like if we were still together.” Clark said confessing the truth. “Clark it was you who said you didn’t love me that’s why we aren’t together anymore but I can’t help thinking you still love me. Do you still love me?” Lana asked waiting for an answer.

“But even if I did it wouldn’t matter because you wouldn’t be safe with me.” Clark said.
“Why wouldn’t I be I always feel safe when I’m with you Clark.” Lana said and tears were starting to run down her face. “If I told you the truth you would hate and I don’t want that to happen its just better if we’re friends.” Clark said as he turned around. “Why would you think that I could never hate you because I love you Clark. “Lana finally confessed once again.

Chapter 12: All I need s you




Lana started to leave because she thought Clark wasn’t going to respond but then Clark grabbed Lana’s arm.” Don’t you walk away because I do love you, I will tell you everything you want to know this time” Clark promised. “I’ve felt so empty inside without you Clark and when you told you didn’t love me I just couldn’t take it anymore.” Lana confessed.

“Lana, I lied when I said that I still love you and I said that to protect you and then you got with Lex and I was scared I lost you forever. Clark said looking down on the ground. “Clark Lex never ad my heart because it always belonged to you and still does.” Lana said trying to shake the tears off but they kept coming.

“I’ve been so lonely without and when I saw you kissing Lex I was hurt and jealous and wished it was still me. Clark said. “You saw me kissing Lex? Clark I didn’t know I’m so sorry.” Lana apologized. “That’s ok I deserved it for the way I treated you. “Clark said.

“No you didn’t you treat me like no one else that’s what I love about you.” Lana said looking up at Clark. “I know I do huh” Clark said jokingly. “Clark just hold me” Lana said as Clark started to wrap his arms around her. He whispered in her ear “I love you and I always will I promise. Lana just smiled when she heard this. Clark continued to hold her.
