What Happened to Martha?

I am hoping that Martha does not have anything to do with Lionel. the thought just makes me sick. I don't trust Lionel.

What I want to know, is when did Martha decide to run for US Senator? She's only been a state senator for a few months and now she's looking at the US Senate. You would think she and Clark would have had a conversation about it, since her life would really be looked at and Clark's by extension.

What happened? Did I miss some important scene in the last episode?

I don't think so. The only thing I saw was that OQ was there to get pitched about helping with some initiatives- not a campaign... The focus on the Kent farm has definitely decreased with the loss of Jonathan...
