No, Smallville is not about to be cancelled, but if it was what would the key indicator that it was about to happen?

Yo Nospam, well done once again...
By the way, about the debate: my mum is convinced the real reason why JP Sartre didn't accept the Nobel prize was simply because Camus got it first... Yes, we the French are an arrogant bunch...

Thanks, and could you really see Clark and Lois ever debating philosophy? Neither could I. It would be a sign of the apocalypse. :)

Lois and Clark debate Sartre versus Camus. At length.
The day those two happen, I'm done with SV
I almost vote for "Clark gives Chloe a computer lesson" but who know, miracles *can* happen... Right? :\

I don't think Clark knows how to use a computer. Why should he, since Chloe does all that for him?!
I'd vote for "Clark uses a computer to do research on his own." Like that'll ever happen ...

I know I am weird, but the more I think about that, the more I like it...
They could discuss the 'impact' that Simone de Beauvoir had on Sartres writing. Did she write some of his stuff? He certainly was a macho and wouldn't admit it... And: why did Camus die in this car acccident, while the driver of the vehicle survived?!? Lots of fun things to talk about...

For the student of philosphy and thought it might be riveting stuff, for the average tv viewer...not so much.:)

...OK, no philosophy on SV. And yet they keep on talking about Nietzsche all the time on SV. You remember when clumsy Clark dropped a Book in front of Lana (because of her kryptonite necklace), I think it was in the pilot. Chloe and Pete then make fun of him. The book he drops says 'Nietzsche' in big letters. Lex also always talks about Friedrich N. The book he holds in his hands, at some point: 'Wille zur Macht'. Will to power... That's entertaining stuff, but I have to say I prefer Camus over that anytime...

Well, Camus attempted to tackle the questions of Nihilism posed by Nietzsche, and for that daunting task he has my utmost respect. While this debate could certainly play out in some entertaining dramatic themes, a full on philosophical debate is better left between close friends and a bottle of wine than between characters on TV.

Unfortunately Sartre wasn't blessed with the best of looks and had a wonky eye, if memory serves. Camus had Humphrey Bogart like good looks, so I don't doubt that your mother found him attractive.

Yeah, Sartre was legendarily ugly. Still, he was a ladies' man it appears...

Interesting that you make this comparison, cause I also had to think of HB when I saw a picture of Camus. His car crash was a huge catastrophy in France. The driver of the car survived, I think. Ooooops, deja-vu again.

Signs I see Smallville is about to be cancelled:
1. Clark slamming his fists against a glass window, watching as Lana and Lex walk down the wedding aisle, while Clark screams "LANA!!!!" as loud as he can.
2. Chloe decides Jimmy is more important then helping Clark save the world over and over and over.
3. Lana learns Clark is an alien without time travel or a concussion occuring.
4. 7 episode Krypto story arc, in which Shelby becomes the legendary dog of steel and inspires Clark to fight crime.
5. Evil parallel universe episode where everyone has goatee's.
Anything with Martha and stripper in the same sentence. *shudders*
