It just hit me that they are finally switching Lois into the reporter role we've known her into. I think they are setting it up that Lois will replace Chloe when she is gone. Does it mean that Chloe;s days are numbered??

I dont think she needs to die, but i think eventually she is gonna leave the show. Lois has to start becoming the main reporter on the show.

i hope not, but i'm a chlarker. now the DC is writing her into their comics, i don't know if they'll kill her off or not. i think they need to find a way for her to go somewhere else, like gotham city or something. maybe the top spot in a big city like that would actually attract her away from the DP. who knows......

no not yet,yes they r slowly leanin lois til her iconic self but she's not ready jus yet. They need chloe to stick around alil longer plus if they go 7 season I dont see her dyin til late s7.Not a moment sooner, but naw I don't think she'll die jus yet if at all.She still has a purpose here, and lois still needs time to grow.

Actually in the direction this show is taking I would say no.

I hope that Chloe gets over herself and that Lois and Chloe can both be journalists without any deaths. But who knows? I hope not.

i hope they don't kill her either, I hope they have her end up going somewhere else like Gotham or somewhere and either be a newpaper or tv reporter. I really hope Chloe doesn't die , I really like her character and always have since episode 1. I really hope they write her into the comics now too. It would be cool if she even just showed up for a page and visited Lois, or was investigating something with Lois and Superman had to save them.

It's possible that her days are numbered. Al/Miles once said in a past interview that the only safe characters were Clark, Lex, and Lois.

Lana is safe too, and so is Jimmy and Oliver Queen since they are also DC creations and owned by them.
Personally I think Chloe's relationship with Jimmy may be the key to keeping her around. DC may have bought the rights to her character but they haven't used her yet, and I don't see a lot of comic book fans clammoring for her to be added, so there's really no obligation to add her in the comics. The SV PTB can kill her, more her to another city, whatever they want, it's up to them.

Yeah, Ollie is safe. Jimmy??? Lana it's possible, but I doubt it.
I think Chloe and Lionel have the biggest bulleyes on their backs, because they're not part of mainstream continuity. The writers don't have to keep Chloe around, and killing her doesn't really change anything for Clark/Superman in the future. But you're right, TPTB can do whatever they want with her. I don't know if the relationship with Jimmy will keep her around, but at this point the writers said everyone besides Clark, Lex, and Lois were up for grabs.

Definitely a possibility if you ask me. However, I don't think (or at least I hope) this wouldn't happen until very near the end of the series.

Any character that was created by DC Comics is safe from getting killed off, so yes that includes both Jimmy and Lana. The rights to there characters are owned by DC Comics, not Smallville. (And both are still alive in the comics).
The relationship with Jimmy give Chloe a relationship with a "comic cannon" character that could help actually bring her *into* the comics if DC finally does it. JUst a thought of mine on a way to keep her relevent and alive. ;)
Chloe and Lionel Luthor are the only two (main) characters on the show that wern't created (and therefor rights owned) by DC Comics, so yes killing either of them off could happen.

Just because Lois is becoming a reporter doesn't mean the end for Chloe.

I hope they don't kill Chloe off the show. She deserved something better than that. Stupid writer following the main story. Can they just changed it alittle and make her stay there cuz she belong there. Jimmy isn't for her. She should stay w/ Clark.

Well Chloe still could inherit her mothers illness and that sickness is in the jeans. That would for sure take her out of the picture, sad but true it could very well happen no matter what we all think.

Chloe could end up anywhere in the future: top reporter for the daily planet, asylum, statue in the FOS, Bruce Wayne's Oracle, a l33t hax0r, etc.

I like the statue in the FOS thing. Then later in the future while Clark/Superman and Lois are together in the FOS kissing and holding each other they can look over to her statue and say hey Chlo, zup.

DC comics has announced they plan to bring Chloe in the comic books as an adult........ that pretty much means she can't die on the show. It also puts a limit on Al and Miles' creativity the character - as they have no choice but to lead Chloe to becoming the character she is in the comics as an adult.

I could see Chloe's death being something that brings Clark and Jimmy together as friends. Right now, the future friendship is just not there.

I don't believe they'll kill chloe, instead they'll throw her into an asylum like her mother. TPTB seem to take the easy ways out, this is one of them. They'll probably end up putting in the kiss of forgettingness too.
Though I also see chloe's death bringing Jimmy and Clark closer, perfect oppurtunity if they do happen to kill her of. Right now Jimmy's just an imature jealous geek.

Chloe definitely needs to be written out of the Daily Planet and needs to leave Smallville one way or another. Her characteris completely hampering the developement of not only Lois but Clark and also Lana. Lana needs to be the supportive friend that knows the secret now, Clark needs to be reporting and investigating on his own (how else is he gonna be a reporter with Chloe the crutch telling him everything all the time), Lois will be going to the Daily Planet (it's a done deal already) so i honestly don't think there's anyway in heck Chloe will stay at the Planet. Not a chance. They will write her out of it eventually (maybe sooner than you might think).
Killing her off and taking yet another one of Clark's loved ones away would be the most dramatic. If I was running the show she would have been buried last season by the hands of Lex/Zod.
That way Clark could have hated Lex because he killed her but wouldn't really be able to blame him directly because of Zod. It would give him a great emotional battle that could have played out this season but we have Al and Miles writing this thing out, so go figure.

I will happen one day, but not now. It would be too early. Why? Did you hear Clark? He told Olliver:'...you can't be with someone who doesn't know...'
Muahahahaha...

I think that Chloe will eventually die (be killed) in some way connected to Clark not protecting her.
It was too clear that he will learn something from the Arrow / Lois relationship about Arrow trying to protect Lois while she reporting / snooping.
Clark will realize he loves Lois and Chloe and couldn't protect Chloe and so goes on the whole I'll save you anytime you are in trouble thing that he has done with Lana for so long.
Sometime they should really focus on him keying in on listening to Lois' heartbeat.

Chloe is a Great person and should stay on the show since pete gone and pa kent gone.

I don't think they will kill her, she is too popular of a character.
Maybe she moves to another city in the series finale to be an editor of like the New York times/Washington Post.

I disagree wholeheartedly with this statement! She is MORE than needed. She and Clark have been through hell and back together as friends.. she has supported him and cared for him.. to kill her off would be a slap in all of Chloe's fans faces and AM better know better.. it would get ugly..

I really like Lois but I like Chloe too and don't want Chloe killed/moved away/go insane. Just because Lois is starting to embrace journalism it doesn't mean she should be removed. Plus I would miss the Chlois (as in cousins) dynamic.

Ah, Chloe and Batman sittin' in a tree, k-i-s-s-i-n-g. Might be a plausible tie in with the JL. Superman and Batman trading snide remarks about Chloe.

I really hope they do not off her the show, but you have to read the signs, she is responsible for clark's investigative talents, and even Lois.
I just think that now that Lois is peaking as a reporter, it is kinda hard to see what the use of Chloe is now. What is also cool is that you can see the obsession Lois has with finding TGA, and not with Ollie. Something CK knows about LOL!
