sneeze and wither are lots of fun. I didn't find season 5 any fun at all. this is a great counter to last year's "lost" season.

I thought Lexmas and Cyborg were pretty good last season. I'd like to see more creative writing like that this season. So far, it just feels like the writers are desperately trying to shove as much story about the JL development into the viewers as possible.

lexmas was quite good. I'm sure we'll get 3-4 great episodes this season, but I'm liking the tone of season 6. it feels like they're riding it out with some fun. I don't think they're doing something that isn't something inherently smallville. I wasn't expecting it, especially after zod, but I'm a huge supporter of this angle. lana and lex are a disaster, so why not make everyone else lighter? I see a lot more charm from the characters than the path of zod-like material, which I would think might sink the series at the end of this season. I'd like to see smallville go 7. put al that dark and seedy stuff into next season. this might seem totally obvious or just completely wrong, either way, I just want it to end well. I don't want a final x-files like 2 seasons of hell.

agree,both Zod and Arrow r good but I think Zod pulled it out cause it was the first episode in 3 months.Plus after last weeks disaster I think arrow would have been consider better anyways.But I think both arrow and Zod r cool tho,sneeze is next wither I wont list :D

I didn't like Arrow. I found it rather dull. Sure, GA's gadgets were kind of cool. But I guess I find the superhero himself boring. I have never even heard of him until the network started promoting him over...Clark.

The only outstanding one that is original and will further the plot was Arrow.

I still don't consider Zod that original since Lex is taken over and forgets again.

Sneeze terribly introduced and rushed through superbreath.

Wither was by far the worst episode this season and maybe in the top ten of all time worst episodes on Smallville

1. Arrow - visually stunning, loved the fight between Clark and him, great talk at the end about whats right and wrong and what should be done. down by a couple of BDA moments and an arrow shooting a bullet.

2. Zod - I liked it, again, visually stunning, I especially liked the fight scene, real kryptonian punches, Clark getting a beating and bleeding because of it, only let down for me by the fact it didn't seem like Clark could even begin to match up to him.

3. Sneeze - A new power! This is usually a good thing, but I wasn't as impressed as usual. Maybe it was that Clark didn't have as much worry about how it would change things for once, but I thought I would've liked it. I guess the reason really is I always liked Bo helping him through things. I miss Bo :(

4. that other one Yeah yeah, you're a plant, you can cut Kryptonians, and you can only lay seeds in somebodys lungs if they're male. I also don't like Chloe and Jimmy. I thought it was OK at first, but just no. "I don't want my girl running off into those woods" juvenile and - frankly - sickening. It's only redeeming feature? It wasn't Tomb.

after having a thought (and a read of this thread), I think I've been too harsh on season 6. I've been expecting the writers to do a lot more on clark's development as Superman and was upset that I didn't see much of it, but this is REALLY just the start of season 6 and I guess they shouldn't jump too fast into it or it'll seem like too much of a rush. And there have been a few hints that the writers are finally heading that way (like the GA speech in the end of Arrow, and Clark being proactive in rebuilding Metropolis). So I still see much promise in this season yet... Anyway, to my votes...

3) Sneeze (would have been much better IMO if Clark found out about his new power rather than Chloe telling him)
4) Wither (bantha fodder)

lee_the_flee, I have the exact opinion of Sneeze. It should have been much better and without all that forced comedy. I hate the comedy now since they play that music every time, which makes it forced and obvious. The only time they played music in season 1 was in Jitters when Clark came home from taking Earl to the hospital and that was not even for the entire scene. All the other times, the funny scenes had no goofy music playing and they were so much better (like Pete's frozen face in Craving when Jodi spoke to him).

amber mcdonald makes wither better than zod, to me. I think zod might end up being the worst episode of S.6. it just didn't work for me on any level. junky stuff.

Although Wither was comprised with a few good moments when we weren't dealing with the ridiculously stupid plant woman plot. What a waste of a PZ escapee!

1) Zod - I have a feeling this will remain the best episode of the season. For me it was one of the best of the whole show. I was so skeptical about it, but it blew me away. Aside from the crappy fight and the fact that the storyline was wrapped by the end of the episode, which is the norm on Smallville, the episode was nothing short of perfect.

2) Arrow - Really great episode. Nice action and some great forshadowing. I thought I would hate the Green Arrow, but the character is actually interesting. I would probably give this episode a solid 9/10. I am still not liking the fact that they shoved Lois into journalism so fast, after two seasons of her wanting nothing to do with it. I also don't like Clark having to be shown how to be a hero. That is something he should discover on his own, because it is who he is. He shouldn't need GA or anyone else to point him in that direction.

3) Sneeze - A mediocre episode at best. I was glad to FINALLY get a new power. But the reason this episode failed is because superbreath was made into the B plot, and the main focus of the episode was on Lex being abducted, which has been done to death. This episode had some great visual FX, and some very nice Chlark scenes. But overall, it was very mediocre and definately the weakest superpower episode we have had to date. I also really hated the fact that they took the easy way out with the fire, by just having it go out. I was pissed when they didn't show Clark using superbreath to do it.

4) Wither - Just absolute crap. One of the worst episodes of Smallville to ever air. Quite possibly in the top 5 worst episodes of all time. A boring villain and the episode seemed totally pointless. What did the episode really accomplish? Lex and Lana have sex and Jimmy/Chloe are established. Neither really helped to move anything along. There were only two things I liked from this episode. The first being the song from All American Rejects. I HATE them for the most part. But they have two really great songs, and It Ends Tonight is one of them, the other being "Can't Take It". The second being slight continuity with Zod.

I'll watch zod again soon, but I don't think I'll like it any better than the first time I saw it. it's just too junky, in a junky sort of way. nominally, it's smallville, but it just felt like something else. then again, what do I know?


for pure escapism, I'll stick with Arrow, Sneeze, Wither, Zod.

for superman mythology, I'll go with Arrow, Sneeze, Zod, Wither

for smallville-ness, I'll go with Wither, Sneeze, Arrow, Zod

Wither sucked big time, boring villain, boring enemy destruction, soon as that light fell I knew they'd use it to kill her. I think the only reason this epiosde came to be was to establish and shove Chimmy and Lexana down our throats. (I don't hate Chimmy or Lexana but I don't like having then shoved down my throats, especially Chimmy, Lexana I can live with, keeps her away from Clark.)

1. Arrow
- The first decent episode of Season 6. Green Arrow is an interesting character, much more interesting than Clark who hasn't been interesting for years. :lol:

2. Zod
- While I found the episode mostly stupid (or lame -- yeah "lame" is a good summary word for S6 so far), it had its moments. I don't like how Smallville kills plots so quickly and provides easy, fast (and in most cases, downright stupid) solutions at almost every opportunity.

3. Wither
- Stupid, pointless episode. Somebody please fire Al & Miles.:lol: Episodes like this one is the main reason Smallville has been "withering" away since Season 4. :lol:

4. Sneeze
- Wow what a terrible episode.

My biggest criticism for Smallville is what it has always been -- its REPETITIVENESS. This has always been a major problem with the series. Al & Miles need to be replaced with better showrunners.

Season 6 is the worst so far. The downhill slide continues.
