Well since they can't use Batman, I get the feeling they are using the GA to play Bats a bit.

I'm sorry. I just think he's a little TOO much like Bats.
Thought it was a good ep though.

I figure it this way: Batman, Superman, & the Green Arrow are all characters owned by Warner & DC Comics, so they can pretty much do whatever they want. Plus, it sounds really cool, too!

Well.. he wasn't too much like bats to me.. Batman wouldn't steal... well..unless it was a kryptonite ring from Lex.... and even then, he tricked Lex into giving it to him... No... Green Arrow has the same swagger and atitude as he does in the comics... and I SO dug this episode... reminded me of the comics and JLU all rolled into one

I was a little saddened when i heard the Batman music after the first GA scene. But then I thought about it and I remebered why GA fits better into Clarks development at this point than Bataman or Bruce would.
GA is a "team player" that has been widely known to team up with people for the greater good without much reluctance (Hal Jordan, Black Canary, The Flash etc). In Batman's early career, he normally hates working with others unless they're within his Bat-family" circle.
The Bat-music was more than likely intended to be another hint that again (like the angel of vengeance) another Batman-inspired character is being used on the show!

I felt the Batman music was more in keeping with the notion of the JLA coming about. I'll admit I missed the first half of the episode (blast working until 8:30!!) but when I heard that sort of music at the end... I thought "JLA!" It's just... superhero-y and it helps that the Green Arrow has that sort of darker, "don't know if he's a good guy or a bad guy" type air about him in this episode, which is rather Batman-like in many ways (especially in meeting Supes). I felt "heroic yet dark" fit the feel brilliantly and invoked the proper sentiments in the episode.
