I loved this episode and the fact that he is actually convincing Clark that he should use his powers for the world. I think he is definatly a good influence on Clark. JH is excellent as Green Arrow, his acting has really stepped up since the first appearance

Good ep. I said it in another thread, but I think they are playing GA a little too much like Bats. Just change the name and everything fits (dead parents, nifty gadgets, etc.)

It really was a good episode. Probably the best so far this season.

I thought this episode was one of the best episodes of the season... probably right after Zod.

Lots of Action and Fighting. Oliver's Acting is awesome and Lois did a really good job as well.

They are introducing a dark Lana... and I was wondering if there is ever going to be anymore Clana moments. :(

Instead of a Green Arrow spin off they should have a Justice League show. Anyway i can see why Clark stops loving Lana. She turned out to be dishonest and not "innocent". I like the Dark Lana.

But doesn't that put him right on the mark? In many ways, GA, the DC character, is a flashier, ultra-liberal, Robin Hood version of Batman. I mean take away the darkness and add the cocky wit, I'd say he's more a rip on Nightwing/Robin than Bats. Ollie is not brooding enough to be equated to Bruce. He may be rich, but he isn't out to right the wrongs of the tough, criminal underbelly... he's out to hit the equally rich and powerful. Where Bats hides in the shadows of his own darkness, the GA swoops into the limelight by his high profile heists. Batman also often acts more on the defensive... wherein he goes after the Joker or whomever after they've committed their heinous crime against him or Gotham directly, while the GA is more offensive and makes the first move (yes, after the CEO or whomever has committed their crime, but it’s more dirty business practices and less outright malice on innocent people… the Joker is sick and cruel for his own pleasure… Lionel can be cruel for his own avarice). What I’m trying to articulate is that the GA is basically Ollie’s way of correcting all the corruption he sees in his world of wealth and privilege and bettering the lives of those less fortunate. In a way he defines himself by his class and must therefore rectify the mistakes of that class (as did Robin Hood who was a nobleman). Bruce, on the other hand, doesn’t see class distinctions or wealth as the corrupting force, but darkness of the psyche and pure madness of the soul. He deals with the blackness that lingers inside of all of us. So, yes, Ollie may have some nifty gadgets (but the GA always has) and may be lacking in the parental department, but fundamentally he is vastly different from Bruce.

You can sooo tell TPTB wanted Oliver/GA to be Bruce/Batman, expecially in the final scene between Clark and Ollie. What he said sounded sooo like something that could have been coming from Bruce Wayne's mouth.

And in many Superman/Batman incarnations, Bruce dates Lois much to Clark's shagrine.

All that said, this was a great episode, definatly the best one so far, and the final scene is what took it there IMO.

A JL show would be cool.

I thought the episode was the best we have seen this season.
Not too shippy, action packed, and talk about saving people.

He's only going to be in 7 eps!!? Man, then we really do need a spin-off because this character is the most intriguing one on the show IMO. The Green Arrow is the next best thing to a show about Batman, it seems- love the character.

Great episode. Green Arrow was simply awesome. The high tech arrows and the special glasses were just cool. His voice was even funny.

The last scene in the barn was better than all of season 5 combined. Those are the kind of moments I watch Smallville for. Excellent job!

Don't agree with that, at all, but it sure was an awesome scene. I'm eager to see the Justice League develop.
