SO CLARK FINDS OUT THAT OTHERS SLIPPED THROUGH THE PORTAL. HUM...WHAT SHOULD I DO...HUM... START LOOKING ON THE INTERNET FOR NEW CRATERS, NAH.... I'LL GO BOUCE A BALL.

I LOVE SMALLVILLE BUT THATS REDICIOUS.
I UNDERSTAND HE CAN'T BE LIKE SUPERMAN BUT,!!!

WHAT DO YOU THINK?

it suppose to be a stupid teen angst ending to show that everyone has someone but him

It's his own fault that he's alone. He's more pathetic than Lana.

To quote David Letterman, "Superman! We need you!!!"

Clark was all alone and playing with his ball in the end.. One would think a super hero would be saving more people because someone somewhere in smallville would need help.

clark doesn't consider himself a hero yet he does it not as a career but because he can

Yeah now that I think about it your right. But i guess find something to do, instead of throwing a ball at a wall.

It's pretty obvious he's still regretting all his past decisions, which I can certainly relate to. Sometimes a dude just needs to sulk a little before he feels good about himself again!

i thought that ending w/ all the couples (lois/oliver, chloe/jimmy, lex/lana, etc.) and then you see clark all alone bouncing a ball was soooooooooo sad!!! omg poor clarkie!

You know, at first I was a litlte upset about that scene and thought he looked incredibly pathetic, but then I thought abou it, and I guess it symbolizes the life of a hero and him finally accepting that this is his life, and the sooner he embraces and accepts his destiny, the sooner he'll become the person he's destined to become.

Yea, that's basically what they were shooting for there. It's kinda like that scene in Spider-Man when Peter Parker finally realized why he was gifted with his powers.

I think there are several possible reasons for his brooding/introspection at the end of the episode, obviously Lex/Lana and the fact the both seem to despise him, his best friend Chloe getting involved with jimmy (making him feel a bit of a third wheel so to speak) I don't think he knows about Lois and Oliver yet, but there also the fact he caused the death of Gloria, even if it was unintentional (after all electricity was only supposed to destroy the planet thing so kind of assuming that Gloria and the plant thing were one and the same).

So he really does have a lot to think on, let alone the fact that he is probably blaming himself somewhat for Gloria escape from the phantom zone, along with everything else he seems to consider his fault, etc.

But either way it does make a poignant ending.

I see why they did it, its to point out what we already know, Clarks alone.

I guess I feel alittle better after reading all these but I still hate it when shows asume they have to show something twice or show it and say it as well.

Like when chloe or someone has to explain out loud what we already know, like when they solve something.

I love the show,HUGE fan, but as I get older the show doesn't.

Season 3 was the best for me. Better than 4 and 5. Votes(of course) not in for 6 but man I want 6 to be better.

Also It SHOULD be. You should always get better.

You know how stupid and greedy these network execs are! They think with their wallets instead of their imagination! That's why all these shows on TV are basic carbon copies of one another and they never go anywhere with the plot until the near end of the season.
